Fixbees Day Care has been an established early years setting since 1993. It offers a warm and homely environment and caters for children from birth to five years old.

Fixbees prides itself on offering a high standard of care where staff are both passionate and knowledgeable in early years care.

Staff ensure they work in very close partnership with parents and carers and their practices are kept to an optimum level in regard to care, quality and health and safety. Staff engage with families well and they support them in all their home learning, social events and outings.

Fixbees Day Care has 2-year-old 15 hours of free childcare available for eligible families, government funding for 3 & 4-year-olds and also 30 hours funding for working parents.

Children are given lots of opportunity to get creative in the outdoors, with woodwork, loose parts play and caring for the fruit and vegetables which are grown every year.

Adopting the curiosity approach, the team encourage children's natural curiosity by promoting engagement with everyday items rather than modern toys and technology.

Menus are planned in house and children, parents and staff are actively involved in this process. Good quality, fresh, wholesome ingredients are used to prepare meals. The nursery supports local suppliers where reasonably practical and cater for a variety of special diets.

Under 3's: Full time (Monday - Friday) £300 / Full Day £63 / Half Day £37,
Over 3's: Full time (Monday - Friday) £295 / Full Day £62 / Half Day £36,
Hourly Rate £8.

Morning session - 7:30am - 12:30pm / Afternoon session - 1:00pm - 6:00pm. They offer 15 Hours funding for two and three year olds and 30 hours funding for 3-4 year olds.
Fully Funded 30 hours places are subject to a sundries charge of £1.50 per hour
For example 23 hours £34.50 10 hours £15.

My little girl has been attending since October, she has recently turned two. She is so happy here and coming on leaps and bounds in her development. She is a very happy little girl at this nursery and they keep you informed on all things that happen. We have an online account and can see what she is
up to throughout the day. Great staff and great ratio of staff to kids, which I do think matters for development. Thanks for taking care of her so well.

We are very happy with the nursery. My daughter is comfortable there and goes in of her own accord with all members of staff. The staff are friendly and helpful with advice. The nursery is happy to accommodate any extra days I need which is very helpful. Her development matters assessment is currently
up-to-date but more pictures, recent ones, would be great to see. My daughter is coming on very well in her learning and social skills plus her speech is getting clearer every day. The staff have now offered to help with potty training - fab!

We visited Fixbees before making the decision to send our daughter there and were so impressed from the first moment we stepped into the nursery. The staff really are a credit to them. From the age of one our daughter, who is now over two years old has developed into such a well spoken, polite mannered
child. Her learning and basic knowledge all round is fantastic and I can only put that down to the incredible staff and Fixbees.

My son settled in so well at Fixbees Private Day Nursery and loved going to nursery. The staff are all really lovely and professional I had no worries at all leaving my son in their care. I was really impressed with the variety of activities available to my son to help him learn through play, both indoors
and outdoors. I would highly recommend Fixbees.

Sending your child to the nursery is such an emotional time. You need to feel that the nursery staff really care about your child. I never questioned this with Fixbees Private Day Nursery.
We went to look around several nurseries but none were as good as Fixbees Private Day Nursery. They have a light
airy building, wide open spaces and great rooms for the age groups.


The staff are so dedicated and are constantly going above and beyond. The theme days, new food and experiences the children gain are invaluable. I loved accompanying my daughter on a trip to a local airport and then picnic in the park. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My son absolutely loved it and they developed him amazingly in time for school. This was more like my son being brought up by an amazing extended family than being at nursery. They have healthy eating to the highest standard, growing vegetables and forest
school. It is worth every penny. This is an amazing nursery with staff who have been there for years and love their job. Thank you Fixbees.

I've always found Fixbees staff to be friendly and professional. My child enjoys attending the nursery and is always challenged with interesting and age appropriate activities. I feel the nursery involve the parents with stay and play sessions and I receive feedback about my child's progress through
Parentzone and parents evenings. I love this nursery and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Andrea

Andrea Drake

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2024

Andrea has been based in our sister nursery as a Deputy Manager since 2012, she has recently moved to Fixbees taking on the Manager role here.

Andrea loves helping out in all rooms with different-aged children. She is a kind and caring person always ensuring everyone's best interest.


Andrea has a degree with Honours in Early Years Education as well as qualifications in leadership and management. Also Level 3 Early Years SENCO.

Sarah

Sarah Bent

Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

Sarah is a bright, enthusiastic and caring individual who has a wealth of experience working with early years children of all ages from babies to our Preschool children. Sarah started first at Birkbees Day Care and in 2010 moved to Fixbees and took on the role of Deputy Manager, a role for which she is highly respected. Since joining the nursery Sarah has started her own family and is a proud mum to two lovely little boys.
