Couldn't be happier. My son was very clingy before he started so I was worried about how he'd do, but he has a lovely day there and doesn't even cry when I drop him off anymore!
One thing that drew us to Ashmoor was that the team seemed genuinely interested in the character and personality of our child before we had signed up, this was important to us when selecting a nursery. Our child has now been there since a young age and the team are great. We’ve found she has built strong bonds with the team and her key worker and looks forward to going!
Ashmoor is an amazing nursery. The staff are fantastic, really caring and also highly professional and good at what they do. My son loves his days in nursery and loves being in the toddler room. It's in a lovely big old house, which makes it feel very homely and there is also a massive garden for the children to play with lots of interesting areas and things to play with. It's a great outdoor space for them to enjoy. I love the range of activities they do - different things every day, even with the very little ones and lots of things that we would probably never get round to doing at home, painting, singing songs, role-playing games, building things etc. I was really nervous about sending my son to nursery at all, but him starting Ashmoor has been hugely positive and I am really pleased that he is going there.
Ashmoor is a warm, fun, stimulating place to be.
The staff really care about the kids, their individual needs and development, while the manager balances continual improvement with staying close to parents and children.
My kids have special dietary requirements - so everyone makes sure that they are given alternatives without feeling left out. And I’m always told what they’ve eaten.
In fact, all the staff take the time to talk to me about my children, how they’ve been and what they’ve been doing. I’m confident that they really care - which really matters to me. I am happy, and trust that my girls are too (and they get to enjoy a massive garden!).
Really pleased with Ashmoor Nursery. My son loves it. Particularly great care was taken in helping him to settle in.
Our daughter has been at Ashmoor since April 2018 and she is very happy and developing well. When she first joined Ashmoor there were several internal changes with staff and management which caused us some concerns at first, however, we could not be more pleased with the changes. The new team are fantastic, they clearly care about the children and want the best for them. The staff have got to know us very well and have built a really strong relationship with her. They organise a range of creative activities throughout the day for the children's learning and development and have introduced an online learning book where parents can see photos and videos of our children at nursery. The nursery seems structured and more organised and there is more regular interaction with parents. We see a bright future our daughter at Ashmoor.
My daughter loves going to this nursery. She found it difficult to settle in when she first started 5 months ago but it didn’t take long for her to settle in and the staff made sure we were both comfortable and happy with her being at nursery. The staff all clearly care about the children at the nursery and I always enjoy getting the daily report on what my daughter has been doing. They do lots of different activities with her and she’s made great progress since starting. She’s much more confident and social than she was before she attended nursery. It’s great to know that she is in a secure and happy environment while I’m at work and she’s really flourishing. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
My little girl has a great connection with all of the staff there and she thrives in their company and environment. She really enjoys going and the staff seem genuinely interested in helping her development and teaching her new things.
I would definitely recommend Ashmoor nursery to others, it really is an excellent nursery and I have a lot of trust in the staff.
Both of our children attend Ashmoor and we couldn't be happier with the care and attention they receive from the wonderful staff. They take part in so many stimulating and exciting activities and we see them develop their skills every week. The new online learning journals are great and we enjoy seeing pictures and videos of their nursery experiences. Our daughter will miss her Ashmoor friends and practitioners when she starts school in September but we are in no doubt she will be absolutely ready for the next step, and that the nursery has played a big part in getting her to that point.
Staff would benefit from training in more creative ways to corral children’s behaviour. (Hand in hand parenting offer very short Facebook tips.)
Structure of day in Big Gang and Tweenies is unclear.
As a parent, I’m not convinced the staff enjoy the children.
A warm, friendly atmosphere with a homely/family feel with Staff who are very attentive and caring towards both us as parents and our daughter.
The staff are very friendly and caring. My baby is always happy and playing when I go to pick him up. They have a good variety of activities for the children. The nursery is always clean and they are very careful about security.
Ashmoor is a good nursery. The food provided and activities for the children are excellent. My only gripe would be that sometimes staff members seem somewhat unorganised and a lot of the time, the sheets handed over to parents at the end of the day explaining meals, activities and sleep are completed there and then and are very generic. Often items of my son's clothing and belongings are lost or misplaced.
The staff are personable and dedicated to nurturing each child individually. The hard copy portfolio of their progress including photos is a lovely keepsake. Ashmoor feels completely welcoming every time we arrive and events throughout the year are well managed. I would definitely recommend Ashmoor to anybody; it has become an exciting and important part of my son's life and we're very grateful to the whole team.
Really pleased with the services at Ashmoor Private Day Nursery, Shipley. It's a perfect learning and developing environment. Staff are friendly and approachable.
Would highly recommend!
Both of my children have been at Ashmoor since March of last year and have thrived there. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.
I can highly recommend Ashmoor Private Day Nursery. My eldest son was there 3 days a week until he started school and loved it. He was happy, fulfilled, challenged and had very happy days there. The team are enthusiastic, dedicated and have boundless energy. I always felt he was cared for and well looked after. My daughter is just starting at Ashmoor at 9 months old and the process with baby number 2 has, so far, been equally as good. The team continue to challenge themselves to better the nursery and care in any way they can and I am sure my baby girl will be loved and cared for in the same way as my son. A great team of people!
Ashmoor is a lovely, friendly, homely setting where my little boy is very well cared for. The garden is amazing and there are always lots of activities set up in the room, which are usually themed for the children to get involved in (including water, sand). The children are well behaved and there is a really nice atmosphere. He is very happy there.
Brilliant nursery with fabulous staff. As a teacher, I can see their hard work paying off with my daughter, preparing her for school.
Dedicated staff with lots of enthusiasm and experience. Great rooms, encouraging creative and imaginative play. Really homely feel.
