Partou Ashmoor Day Nursery & Pre-school in Shipley provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of 5.

The nursery - which has been a party of the community since 1987 - is set in a beautiful converted property on a quiet residential street, with a large and exciting outdoor play area where children are encouraged to play every day.

Children at the nursery are provided with inspirational learning activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Babies are even taught baby signing, helping them to communicate from the very beginning. Parents stay up to date and involved with their children’s learning development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Ashmoor’s childcare practitioners are experienced and hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Ashmoor prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day.

Both of our children attend Ashmoor and we couldn't be happier with the care and attention they receive from the wonderful staff. They take part in so many stimulating and exciting activities and we see them develop their skills every week. The new online learning journals are great and we enjoy seeing
pictures and videos of their nursery experiences. Our daughter will miss her Ashmoor friends and practitioners when she starts school in September but we are in no doubt she will be absolutely ready for the next step, and that the nursery has played a big part in getting her to that point.

Cleanliness requires attention in the Tweenies room.
Staff would benefit from training in more creative ways to corral children’s behaviour. (Hand in hand parenting offer very short Facebook tips.)
Structure of day in Big Gang and Tweenies is unclear.
As a parent, I’m not convinced the staff enjoy
the children.

My little girl is always excited to go to Ashmoor and has come on in leaps and bounds in her development since joining.
A warm, friendly atmosphere with a homely/family feel with Staff who are very attentive and caring towards both us as parents and our daughter.

The staff are very friendly and caring. My baby is always happy and playing when I go to pick him up. They have a good variety of activities for the children. The nursery is always clean and they are very careful about security.

Ashmoor is a good nursery. The food provided and activities for the children are excellent. My only gripe would be that sometimes staff members seem somewhat unorganised and a lot of the time, the sheets handed over to parents at the end of the day explaining meals, activities and sleep are completed
there and then and are very generic. Often items of my son's clothing and belongings are lost or misplaced.

My son started Ashmoor Private Day Nursery in the Tiny Tots when he was 18 months old. He took to the building and the staff after a few settling in sessions and after 6 months there is very settled. The nursery staff are wonderful especially his keyworker; everyone is nurturing, accomplished and generous
with their time and advice to parents. They have a brilliant routine in place and my son has learned so much both on a social and educational scale. He adores the expansive garden, the children play out every day and there's plenty to keep them occupied, interacting and learning.
The staff are personable and dedicated to nurturing each child individually. The hard copy portfolio of their progress including photos is a lovely keepsake. Ashmoor feels completely welcoming every time we arrive and events throughout the year are well managed. I would definitely recommend Ashmoor to anybody; it has become an exciting and important part of my son's life and we're very grateful to the whole team.

I can highly recommend Ashmoor Private Day Nursery. My eldest son was there 3 days a week until he started school and loved it. He was happy, fulfilled, challenged and had very happy days there. The team are enthusiastic, dedicated and have boundless energy. I always felt he was cared for and well looked
after. My daughter is just starting at Ashmoor at 9 months old and the process with baby number 2 has, so far, been equally as good. The team continue to challenge themselves to better the nursery and care in any way they can and I am sure my baby girl will be loved and cared for in the same way as my son. A great team of people!

Ashmoor is a lovely, friendly, homely setting where my little boy is very well cared for. The garden is amazing and there are always lots of activities set up in the room, which are usually themed for the children to get involved in (including water, sand). The children are well behaved and there is
a really nice atmosphere. He is very happy there.
