The Little School House Nursery & Preschool

The staff are so warm and caring and we are extremely grateful they have been so amazing during this awful period of unrest. Keep up the hard work!

My child moved from abroad and was still getting used to a new city and a new home, yet he settled in very quickly due to the lovely staff at this nursery. They are always warm and welcoming and know how to cheer him up if he is having a bad morning. We get regular updates about his development and achievements and just know he is in good hands. The management is very flexible and forthcoming when it comes to wishes or questions regarding hours and bringing/picking up arrangements - and helped us find the best option for our child. During Covid every possible measure has been taken to ensure the safety of the kids while keeping the nursery open. Having a private garden as well as Graves Park at the doorstep means the kids get plenty of fresh air and outdoor activity. I highly recommend this nursery.

Great nursery for our toddler. She has settled in quickly and now really enjoys her days there. They have been particularly well organised through Covid-19. The nursery actively encourages being outside and healthy eating.

My daughter loves going to this nursery and I wouldn't send her anywhere else. The nursery have been especially brilliant and supportive during the coronavirus. I highly recommend this nursery. There is a lovely group of staff who are great with the children.

Since attending The Little School House my daughter has come on leaps and bounds and I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

The staff at School House have helped my very clingy daughter settle in. They have been very patient with her and have helped her to build confidence. She’s gone from crying on and off all day to waving me off at the door.

I have had two children at this nursery for around two years. They love going and have both settled really well. The staff are very friendly, caring, patient and enthusiastic. I feel confident that my children are well cared for and have lots of fun with their friends. The nursery has helped them develop new skills. There is a nice outdoor play area and lots to do indoors too. The nursery staff have worked really hard through coronavirus restrictions and always try to accommodate extra sessions or swapping days if we need them. I have been really impressed with how the staff handle difficult tantrums and support with potty training in a child-centred way. I would definitely recommend it.

I was very apprehensive about sending my first to nursery, on my visit it was clear that The Little School House would be a great fit for my child. The staff are friendly, caring and nurturing. They have lots of activities and my child always brings home something fun and creative. They give you all the details of the days' activities, so you always feel you have an insight into what they are doing and the next steps. They have also coped extremely well over this stressful time and remained in regular contact. Highly recommend.

My son currently attends and he loves going to nursery, he has come on so much, since he started attending he's become such a clever outgoing little boy. He absolutely adores his teachers he speaks about them a lot when he's at home and he has made lots of little friends.

Absolutely amazing nursery and staff. Cannot praise them enough. My daughter has been here 2 years now and she's come on so much! To say she was non-verbal/not walking when she started, to now when all she does is chatter about her day, her friends and her teachers. Honestly is the best nursery. Coped with the Pandemic brilliantly, and have procedures in place to keep everyone as safe as can be.

My 2-year-old daughter started in October and she absolutely loves it! She bonded with staff really quickly! The app is amazing and I look forward to seeing and reading what she's been doing all day! Anything you need nursery support you! Really friendly and welcoming! My little one before starting would cry if I left her anywhere but when going to nursery she walks straight in without a single tear!

We have been so happy with the care that our daughter has been given at The Little School House. She was a little unsure at first, but she now waves us off at the door, and we can always tell that she’s had such a lovely day. The staff are fantastic and we love that our daughter is always so busy and spends so much time playing outside.

Since my daughter started last year she has flourished in her speaking and loves going to nursery every week. The staff are very nice and pass on any issues. I especially like the new app where I can see what my child has been doing at nursery and the progress she is making. Looking forward to seeing her flourish more in preschool from September.

I can't recommend this place enough.

My daughter started at the nursery at nine months old, the staff are friendly and welcoming every morning and fill me in about my daughter's day and how she is settling in. She is always happy when turning up and goes to staff without issue. They work with you on any issues you may be having with your child and make you feel supported.

My daughter has settled into nursery brilliantly with the support of the baby room staff! They always give good feedback about her day and any other useful information they feel we need to be aware of, e.g chicken pox going around the nursery and signs to watch out for. They also use a great app that lets me see her development and what she's been doing at nursery while I'm at work.

I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

I have now had two children attend this nursery and can't recommend it enough! All the staff are lovely and so good with the children. My toddler adores them and is so happy there. Great nursery!

Some toys, resources and equipment is looking a bit tired but I have seen some things being replaced over the past few months. I'm not aware of any ICT learning with my daughter so I think that is an area that could be built on.
