Kingswood Day Nursery & Preschool

Kingswood Nursery has been part of our lives since 2017 when, at 10-months-old, we sent our oldest child there. He instantly settled in really well and had much admiration for the staff who have looked after him so well and encouraged him through the changes from room to room. During 2020 the pandemic, which changed all our lives, Kingswood stayed the constant which the children needed. His new sister was due to go to Kingswood and due to social distancing, parents were not allowed to settle the children in as normal. So my daughter, at 9-months-old and had not seen anyone other than mummy, daddy or brother was thrust into the nursery scene, handed over at the door and into a world unknown to her. However, due to the incredibly caring staff, it only took a few days for her to become settled, playing with the new toys and her newfound friends. It was probably harder for me than her. I can’t thank the nursery enough for being so flexible and working so hard. Thank you.

We have 2 children that attend Kingswood and the staff have been amazing from day 1. Our son transitioned from another nursery just before he turned 2 and the staff have helped him so much and he has come on and done so well. Our daughter started when she was 11 months and the staff look after her like she was one of their own. During the pandemic, my husband and I are both key workers and the nursery worked with us with our schedules and made us feel at ease the whole time with the measures they put in place to ensure safety and infection control standards were maintained. We can not recommend Kingswood enough.

We cannot thank Kingswood Day Nursery enough for all their support in developing our daughter into what she is today. She attended the nursery from the age of eleven months, all the way until almost five years old. We genuinely believe the nursery played a vital role in her development and we are very proud of all her accomplishments to date. Our daughter very much enjoyed her time there, established very strong relationships with the staff, and of course made lots very close friends, so much so that she still sees her nursery friends who have not joined her at big school. The team were very caring, knowledgable and professional, and the management were always very attentive to our needs. Thank you again to everyone at Kingswood, and keep up the good work. The only criticism I would have is that this is a meat-free nursery, but they still provide high-quality balanced diet options. My daughter insists we send our next child to this nursery, therefore we hope to arrange this shortly.

I am really happy with the care my children have received from Kingswood Day Nursery. I feel there is the right balance between care and nurture and routine and structure. All learning and development is done through play with a real sense of child initiated interests being followed. The online system used to track development is great and allows lots of parental involvement, I am always sharing photos of fun things we have been doing at home. Great nursery, lovely staff, well managed with an overall welcoming and friendly feel. Would highly recommend this nursery.

I've now been a parent at Kingswood for the past six years and our youngest is leaving in four weeks. We'll be so sorry to say goodbye! Kingswood is a safe, caring, warm, fun and nurturing environment. Staff are friendly with a superb standard of professionalism. They put so much effort into providing fantastic opportunities for children and are very good at communicating with you about your child's day. Both our children who have attended have gained so much and are school ready thanks to Kingswood. We can't thank the manager and her staff enough and would recommend Kingswood to anyone.

An absolutely superb nursery, our son loves every day there, brilliant staff - supportive, caring, educating and inspiring. Highly recommend.

The hours are very flexible and suit our needs as my husband and I both work in schools. The handover at the end of sessions is excellent and the staff are great with me and with Granny.

I cannot speak highly enough of Kingswood. My nine month old son began in the baby room recently and I am beyond happy with our experience. The management and staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to the needs of both myself and my son. The settling in process was great and the care thereafter has managed to expel my anxiety about leaving my son for the first time! I am extremely thankful I chose Kingswood for the care of my son.

I trust them with my child. I feel comfortable that my child is getting everything he needs for his social and educational development.

My daughters attend the nursery and have done since they were both really little. The staff that work here are excellent at meeting all the children's needs and I can tell that my children have built lovely relationships with them especially their key people. They always get lot's of cuddles and are made to feel both safe and secure within their environment. The nursery is always very flexible in swapping and changing their days of attendance, even at short notice, excellent for working parents. You will not find another nursery as welcoming and accommodating as Kingswood. Thank you for all you do! Keep up the amazing work!

I mentioned their brushing teeth initiative to my dentist who thought it was a brilliant idea!

My granddaughter loves going to nursery. She is always really happy when I collect in the afternoon. The staff are all very helpful and make sure they do a very thorough handover when I am collecting.

The management are also very helpful and very flexible always trying their best to accommodate any extra sessions we may need.

My child has been attending Kingswood Day Nursery & Preschool for 3 months now. She settled in really quickly and cannot wait to go to nursery.

Staff are great with babies and children. They are knowledgeable about child development and plan activities to suit each child. The food is fresh and all meals and snacks are healthy.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was listened to and my home routines were followed when my son was in the nursery. The process in settling us all in was excellent.

This is an excellent nursery with a fantastic management team and staff that are highly professional and great with the children. The building is always very clean and toys/resources well maintained.

The variety of tasks/games etc are very good and have helped my daughter develop her skills immensely, there is a lot of support to identify key areas of weakness and to target attention to these. Lunches and snacks are healthy and have helped to improve her eating habits. I am very happy with the trips, visitors and special activities that are also held at various times of the year, they further enrich the nursery experience and equip children for moving on to primary school.

We have used Kingswood for 9 years with 3 children - the staff have always been very good and kind with all our girls from 6 months in the baby room up to leaving for school. We have been very happy with the care they have provided.
