Children 1st Sheffield Nursery School

We have used Children 1st @ Sheffield Day Nursery since our little boy turned one. We have been so happy with the care and education so far and our little boy absolutely loves going there (more than being at home)! The staff are all lovely and really take care as if the children are their own. Our little boy has come on leaps and bounds with speech and development and he eats so well there too. We instantly got a good feeling when we looked around, compared to other nurseries where we weren’t sure. It is quite expensive compared to others we have looked at but it’s worth every penny when you know your child is having such a great time and being so well looked after. We highly recommend!

From the moment I entered the nursery, I was impressed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it was clear that they genuinely cared about each and every child in their care. My kids love their time there and funny enough, don't like to leave when it's pick-up time! The nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment that encourages learning and development, while also allowing children to explore and have fun. Nutritious meals and snacks are also provided which is a huge bonus for busy parents. Overall, I would highly recommend Children 1st @ Sheffield Day Nursery to any parent looking for a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for their little one. It is clear that the staff are dedicated to providing the best possible care for each child and my own observations of the children's happiness and enthusiasm confirm this. Thank you to all the staff who treat my kiddos with so much love! I would personally give them a 10 if I could. Excellent place!

Me and my family members are always grateful to staff as they are very supportive in our good and difficult times. My eldest son goes to this nursery. He loves it. The staff are amazing, and they go above and beyond to make sure that the children which go to the nursery do meet the targets. As a mother, which struggles with her children, this nursery has helped me gain confidence. They helped my eldest son to gain his confidence with his potty training. They also give the best tips. The staff are just amazing. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. Also, the system which they have in place so that the parents are kept up to date with the children's goals and so that we know what our children are up to is just amazing. My son loves going. He just goes in with no problem.

Everything about this nursery is amazing! From my daughter's first day to today, she’s always happy when she goes and happy when she comes out! I have seen how much she has gained from attending, from already knowing 1-10 and the alphabet to singing her favourite songs! I’ve only been inside the nursery a handful of times because of Covid, but every time I’ve been in, the staff have been very friendly, kind, helpful, and my daughter loves them. The two rooms my daughter has been in have been well equipped and looked like they could be great fun! Thanks, Children 1st for what you do for us! Keep up the great work!

The staff are attentive and kind, he learns new things every day and can't wait to come home and show us.

After losing my daughter's dad in 2020 I haven't been able to trust anyone but the girls have really helped me and supported me with extra hours or changing days when I needed them. I will be very sad when my daughter has to leave.

I can't praise enough the staff and management of this nursery. From day one, they made all efforts, so my daughter can adjust easily, and she did. She goes in and gets out with a smile on her face. We get updates and photos of her activities. She's also improved her speech a lot, which was an issue when my daughter first signed in. On Christmas, the nursery staff went over the moon and back to set up a Nativity play, and it was amazing! I highly recommend this nursery!

We love this nursery. My little girl is always happy to go to nursery and sometimes asks to go to nursery again on her way home from nursery. The staff are all fantastic and seem to really care. They have always been really helpful when we’ve asked about anything during her time there (weaning, bottles, potty training). I recommend this nursery to anyone who asks me!

I would not want to leave my daughter anywhere else! The nursery seems to have very high standards, with the rooms being bright, clean and welcoming. The nursery is constantly making improvements and has recently made new developments to its outside area. There is such a range of activities, that I feel my daughter is well entertained and stimulated. I feel that by attending this nursery, will give my daughter a good start in life. The staff are also amazing! The keyworker shows genuine care and love for my daughter and is involved in her play, whether it's helping her read books or play peekaboo. I enjoy reading the 'daily diary' from the nursery, which gives me added reassurance and helps me keep track of my child's progress. I could not recommend this nursery enough!

We are lucky enough to have had both our daughters at this nursery. We cannot speak highly enough of the entire team including management, key workers, chefs and maintenance. Our eldest daughter is at school now but still talks about loving nursery! The creative, nurturing and educational environment is second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent.

I am always reassured and impressed by the staff at nursery. They know my son so well and they’re great at updating us so we can see he is having a great time. They have a clear grip on his development and continue to challenge him which is great! The team are super friendly and carry out a variety of activity with the kids each day. A fabulous nursery, I would have no hesitation in recommending to other parents!

My son is not a type of kid who enjoys new atmosphere very easily but the way this nursery has accepted my kid and treated him with encouraging words and shared the love he needs to start enjoying the nursery has really made me proud for choosing the right place for him. With so many supporting staff members to take good care of the kids, what surprises me the most is that each one of them knows my son's name, rather they know every kids name and it feels nice. The updates they give regarding how the day went, what activities my kid was involved with and the food he had makes us feel very happy. Thanks to such a wonderful facility.

Amazing nursery, staff are brilliant, always helpful and my son loves coming to nursery. He enjoys the amazing outdoor area that has been done. The teachers are always on hand to answer any questions you have about the day your child has had.

Very helpful and friendly staff including the manager. She always explains everything patiently and in detail. My daughter had a massive improvement in her learning since started nursery. She is quite enjoying being at nursery.

We have had an amazing experience since our son started at this nursery in January 2021. The staff are all so friendly, professional and always make an effort! Our son loves going to nursery and we feel really safe and reassured knowing he is somewhere so brilliant! Would highly recommend.
