Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is situated within 120 acres of farmland and makes the most of an attractive and interesting location in which to encourage early years learning and activities. The views over the local area are breathtaking, you can see for miles and this is the location of the children's outdoor play areas.

Children can play in their forest school and be part of nature in action. Forest school is a different way of learning, the ever-changing outdoors, the passage of time, the changes in seasons, nature, different sources of smells and textures. The ever-changing environment can stimulate learning in a very different environment.

While offering an excellent Early Years Education through inspiration from the Reggio Emilia Approach the nursery also holds the coveted Lancashire Quality Award for excellence Children experience accelerated learning techniques in a unique environment and develop a new range of skills, communication and improved health and personal development by spending time learning outdoors. This regular time spent in changing outdoor spaces and the accompanying reflective practice, develops a child's resilience and reframes a child's own view of risk.

Providing realistic challenges for children and allowing them to work through tasks themselves supports their development; actively engaging them to understand themselves and each other, promoting communication, problem-solving and social skills.

All children are looked after by fully-qualified professionals. A range of extracurricular activities are available - including access to Forest School Nursery, swimming and performing along with sport activities too
All pre-school children within the nursery are able to access forest school sessions within their timetable of nursery attendance.

Learning journeys for all children are offered both to see the progress their child is making at nursery via photographs, wri

Little Achievers Ramsgreave have gone above and beyond to make my little ones enjoy nursery!
They were great at communicating from a parent's point of view and did lots of amazing activities with the little ones.

Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is an amazing nursery for babies and children.
My daughter started when she was around 10 months old, and is going to be 2 at the end of this month.
She absolutely loves going to nursery, always comes home extremely happy and sometimes doesn't even want to leave.

She

loves the environment and the staff members who are extremely caring and provide the children with the love and nurture they need. I can not think of a better nursery to send my daughter to. Little Achievers Forest School Nursery has met all my daughters needs and our requirements. eg; Vegetarian meals.

The location of the nursery is one of my favourite things about the nursery. It is on a farm, and my daughter absolutely loves her nature. So seeing the sheep first thing in the morning and throughout the day is a massive bonus. She also loves playing in the barn which was recently built.

Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is always providing exceptional childcare and great communication with the parents overall.

I could not recommend them enough!

I would highly recommend Little Achievers. My little girl has been so happy there and has learnt so much in the time she's been there. They have a great balance of learning and playing and I love that she gets to do so much outdoors. I can't fault the staff. They are all attentive, caring and kind and
my daughter loves being with them. I get great feedback each day on her eating and sleeping patterns as well as her behaviour and progress, and it's a comfort to know my little one is in such good hands when she's not with me.

My daughter attends the nursery and since the day she started I have been so pleased with the high level of care she's received. Staff go above and beyond to make her feel safe and looked after and are responsive to her needs. She enjoys going and talks about her day with a smile on her face when she
gets home. The activities at the nursery are all child-led and nothing is too messy which is fantastic. My daughter also loves the meals provided. The new barn development is outstanding, I'm a grown woman and would love to play in there myself!

My little girl has now left for school and was extremely sad to be leaving. We have had some great memories, walks out into the country to see the sheep, snowy days when we had the most amazing views, and not to mention meeting loads of friends. The nursery is fab, it's just the right size and feels
like a close-knit little family. The staff there throughout the pandemic have been amazing, they have offered support and cuddles still, and gone out of their way to make the kids feel safe. It was a testing time for the small ones, and I think they would have suffered more if it had not been for the feeling of security offered by the nursery. She's gone to school a confident little girl, and throughout her time at Little Achievers, she has been well supported and cared for, it's been lovely to see her grow. The staff cannot be thanked enough.

My daughter has not been at the nursery long (4 weeks) but overall I think the staff are lovely and there appears to be a lot going on in the day (activities). My daughter has settled in very well and staff reports lots of happiness throughout the day. I don't often get told what she has been doing
all day and it is occasionally written in her daily logbook. It would be nice to know more about her day.

My child enjoys nursery a great deal. I've seen a lot of progress in her development recently. She is talking a lot more and her vocab has developed. I think most of the things associated with the nursey is great. The only drawbacks is the communication of key worker changes, new staff, her daily activities
(this has now improved as the book is used more) and finally, I know of a dozen local nurseries using the app a lot more to inform parents about their child specifically with covid restrictions.

Really friendly and professional staff. My two girls age 1 and 3 love nursery, they always talk highly about the staff and walk into nursery with smiles on their faces.
I feel very confident with the staff looking after my girls and I'm happy with everything my girls are learning at nursery.
They
are very accommodating to having to change days and hours if needed.
Would highly recommended the nursery.

My little boy has been attending this nursery for a year and a half and absolutely loves going, he gets excited every day when it's time to go. He often returns home having learnt something new. He adores all of his teachers there who are friendly and professional. The setting is wonderful and I couldn't
really wish for a better place for him to attend.

My little boy has been coming to the nursery for six months. The staff are great with him and even tried to help him to walk.
My only to comments for improvement would be for a better road surface and carpark.

My twins started at the nursery in 2016. Both twins immediately flourished through their milestones with support from the nursery. All staff have always been extremely approachable and friendly. All staff have always been supportive of any challenges I have undergone regarding the twins. The nursery
provides a fantastic learning environment for the children and a fantastic range of activities. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son started in this setting since he was one year old. We have seen him grow into a very confident toddler.
His language, development are not to fault.
He has made friends with all the children and adores all the staff members.
It is going to be a really sad time leaving this week for both us
and him.

Thank you to all the staff you are all amazing! Carry on with the brilliant jobs you do.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.322)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.322) out of 10 for Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.989 for Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (94 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.989
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.333 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 number of registered child places is 15. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 15 = 0.533
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
