Partou Stonehouse Day Nursery & Pre-school in Leyland is an exceptional nursery and pre-school for babies and children up to the age of five.

The nursery is set in a beautifully converted school building with spacious playrooms and a fabulous outdoor area complete with a sports field, sensory garden, vegetable patches, fruit trees and an outdoor classroom.

Children at the setting enjoy a wide range of inspirational learning activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Stonehouse Childcare's experienced team hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training.

Every team member has an enhanced DBS check and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The cook at Stonehouse Childcare prepares fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day.

The nursery menu is prepared with fresh, quality ingredients that can be altered to suit any special dietary requirements.

Meals and snacks are included in the nursery's fees as well as nappies, wipes and sun cream. 15 and 30 hours funded childcare places are available for eligible families.

My son has been attending Stonehouse since May, and my husband and I have been so impressed with everything. The staff are so lovely and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble, and we feel very content that our son is safe and being well looked after. We’re also very impressed with the quality and
variety of the meals he gets! We’re very happy with the choice of nursery for our son and would highly recommend it.

My little girl has loved coming to Stonehouse for the following reasons:
1. The staff are just absolutely gorgeous! They have been so caring, and I know they know my little girl inside out!
2. She enjoys the play and activities. She is never bored!
3. She loved the food! Fussy at home but loves
nursery food.
4. The cuddles!
Thank you for everything, and we are sad to be moving. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

The staff at Stonehouse are absolutely outstanding and really good with children. My son absolutely loves coming to nursery, and they always make it such a great experience for him. They are very helpful if you need advice and very understanding too.

My son is currently at Stonehouse and has been for over a year now. He started in babies and since moved up to toddlers! I can not fault anything they have done in the whole time he has been there! They have a fantastic team, and everyone who has worked with my son has been amazing! Nothing is ever

I would highly recommend Stonehouse Nursery to all of my friends and family, and strangers too!
My son has been there for over two years and is now coming to the end of his nursery journey and is ready for “big school”.
All the staff have been beyond incredible - they are highly trained and amazing
with the children. No request has ever felt too much.
The nursery has fantastic resources, and the interests of the children are of paramount importance. Please do take a visit; you will not be disappointed!

Amazing nursery and great staff, all very welcoming and helpful and everything you need is included in the fee, so you don't need to remember to bring anything! They also have a huge outdoor space, the biggest I have seen, so it's great for the children to get outdoors.

Stonehouse is an amazing, nurturing environment for all children. I’d like to say a very special thank you to one of the most caring nursery workers. She works extremely hard in the baby room and has formed a great bond with my baby daughter, who started here at just 10 months old. They all work tirelessly

Fantastic nursery. My son loves it there. They do a variety of activities every day, develop their skills and lead children to independence. My son is bringing home good manners and is rapidly developing his vocabulary, and I can see he behaves with respect to other children when we are on playgrounds
thanks to the nursery. Staff engage closely with parents and do their best to meet parents' requests. The nursery has several playrooms for each age group and a large outdoor play area, which is used frequently.

I wouldn't send my son anywhere else. He absolutely loves going into nursery so much that he pushes me out the door in the morning. He adores all those that are involved in his care, and I know all the nursery practitioners adore him or he wouldn't be the way he is. Every single one of the staff is
brilliant - nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and they are so approachable. My son is always doing some sort of activity, and they are happy to help a first-time mum with ideas of how to go about things when I ask. I am so grateful to them all.

Our little boy started in December 2021. He loves the nursery and all of the staff. We are overall very happy with the level of care he receives there, but there have recently been a couple of shopping errors with his dietary requirements - not a major issue, but not ideal. We would also like to see
him do more activities and bring things home with him than what he currently does.

My daughter and son both attend Stonehouse Nursery, and they both absolutely love it. My daughter has additional needs, and the staff can't do enough for her, always willing to go the extra mile to help her achieve her full potential. She is absolutely thriving, and a lot of that is thanks to Stonehouse.
They have been amazing meeting her needs since the day she started. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My baby started to go to nursery when he was 9-weeks-old, and he has enjoyed it there. Every day, when I went to get him, they do tell you what happened during his day, and they do keep your baby’s routines. All staff are passionate and friendly with children, well knowledgeable. Stonehouse is a fabulous place, our son has thrived since he began attending three years ago. He looks forward each time he goes and always has fun. They are extremely approachable and friendly.
Also, my daughter attended over 17-years ago, and now her daughter goes there.
Always available to speak
about the kids days and are open and honest. Throughout this tough time, the staff have been amazing, teaching the kid's safety without scaring them as nurses we are happy that our children attend this nursery.
Communication is brilliant, and we are kept informed at all times where the kids are up to in their learning.

My son started at nursery when he was 6-months-old, and the progress we have seen in him in 6-months has been amazing, thanks to the staff at Stonehouse. As he was born in lockdown, the nursery is his only time to play and interact with other children. He absolutely loves the staff, and they are so
kind and friendly. They make you feel welcome and spend a lot of time getting to know each child. We are updated weekly with photos and assessments of how he is progressing which is great.
I would highly recommend Stonehouse to anyone looking for a nursery!

My son has been going here since he was 9-months-old, and he loves going and playing with all his friends. We never have any issues sorting things out when we need to, especially when covid happened and everything was up in the air. My son loves the staff members and his key worker is lovely, we always
get as much information as possible from them about his day eg, how long slept for and what he has eaten. He is nearly ready to go to the next room, and has learnt so much while being there already, so we cannot wait to see what the next stage brings.

I am so glad I chose to send my child to Stonehouse. The staff are so lovely, and nothing is any trouble for them. I was extremely nervous and anxious about leaving my child with anyone, due to giving birth in lockdown and my son not being used to other people other than me and my partner. On his first
day, I think I was more emotional than him as he loves it and can not wait to get in once he arrives. He loves seeing other faces and playing with the other children. The staff are constantly keeping me updated on his progress, and I feel so comfortable leaving my child knowing he's being cared for and the staff adore him.

I am happy with the care and attention paid to my child. He is happy and content at his nursery, and all the adults are great. He's just moved into the toddler room, and he loves it.
I am very protective of my son, and the staff at the nursery understand and help me to know he is safe and well looked
after; I can see this when I pick him up. He's happy, confident and says goodbye to the adults in his room.


He's only there one day a week, and it's lovely to see him grow.
