Partou Stonehouse Day Nursery & Pre-school

Our daughter has been attending this nursery for nearly two years, and it was the best decision we ever made for her. She is always happy here, and the staff constantly keep her stimulated with different activities and adapts them to her needs/areas of development. Particularly for preschool, they help with learning/getting them ready for the transition to school, and I feel confident my child is going to be more than ready for later this year for school. The staff are friendly, welcoming and always willing to sit down and listen to you if there are any concerns or you want to chat about anything - they have a lovely parent room adapted for this. The space at this nursery is second to none, and unlike any other nurseries we have seen, giving the children so much more freedom with activities/toys. The only thing I would like to see more of is more encouragement for home learning/reading; there used to be a scheme where children could choose a book to take home; however, this seems to have gone.

My daughter has been going to Stonehouse since her old nursery shut abruptly in 2022. They were very welcoming, and my daughter settled straight in. The staff are truly wonderful, and my daughter loves her time here. The range of food and activities is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter started at Stonehouse in Nov 2022 after we moved to the area. She'd been at another nursery for 18 months before that, and we were worried she wouldn't settle, but we really needn't have worried at all. From the first phone call I had with the assistant manager to enquire about availability, I knew we'd found the right nursery. The owner is very clearly passionate about what she does and takes great care to ensure the nursery setting reflects that. The staff are incredible, always so friendly, passionate, kind and caring. We take our daughter to Stonehouse every weekday, knowing she is well looked after and, most importantly, in safe hands. We value the communication with the team as well; they're happy to work with us on our daughter's development and always so approachable, even the staff that don't work directly with our daughter smile and speak with us when they see us; it's such a warm environment! If you're looking for a nursery in the Leyland area, this is the one!

My son has been attending Stonehouse since May, and my husband and I have been so impressed with everything. The staff are so lovely and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble, and we feel very content that our son is safe and being well looked after. We’re also very impressed with the quality and variety of the meals he gets! We’re very happy with the choice of nursery for our son and would highly recommend it.

My son has attended Stonehouse nursery since he was 1 year old, and now at the age of 4, he is about to move on to school. From babies all the way through to preschool, the staff have been amazing, and we are going to miss seeing them so much. My little boy has learned so much from everyone at Stonehouse and made some lovely friends. I highly recommend this nursery.

Amazing nursery and great staff, all very welcoming and helpful and everything you need is included in the fee, so you don't need to remember to bring anything! They also have a huge outdoor space, the biggest I have seen, so it's great for the children to get outdoors.

The nursery has fantastic resources, and the interests of the children are of paramount importance. Please do take a visit; you will not be disappointed!

My son is currently at Stonehouse and has been for over a year now. He started in babies and since moved up to toddlers! I can not fault anything they have done in the whole time he has been there! They have a fantastic team, and everyone who has worked with my son has been amazing! Nothing is ever too much hassle for them! Thank you so much, Stonehouse!

The staff at Stonehouse are absolutely outstanding and really good with children. My son absolutely loves coming to nursery, and they always make it such a great experience for him. They are very helpful if you need advice and very understanding too.

Excellent nursery. Met all my child's needs to a high standard. My son loves going, and he has brilliant relationships with all the staff. He has made lots of progress since he started. Can't thank them enough.

Stonehouse is an amazing, nurturing environment for all children. I’d like to say a very special thank you to one of the most caring nursery workers. She works extremely hard in the baby room and has formed a great bond with my baby daughter, who started here at just 10 months old. They all work tirelessly to ensure the children are happy and well cared for.

Fantastic nursery. My son loves it there. They do a variety of activities every day, develop their skills and lead children to independence. My son is bringing home good manners and is rapidly developing his vocabulary, and I can see he behaves with respect to other children when we are on playgrounds thanks to the nursery. Staff engage closely with parents and do their best to meet parents' requests. The nursery has several playrooms for each age group and a large outdoor play area, which is used frequently.

I wouldn't send my son anywhere else. He absolutely loves going into nursery so much that he pushes me out the door in the morning. He adores all those that are involved in his care, and I know all the nursery practitioners adore him or he wouldn't be the way he is. Every single one of the staff is brilliant - nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and they are so approachable. My son is always doing some sort of activity, and they are happy to help a first-time mum with ideas of how to go about things when I ask. I am so grateful to them all.

Our little boy started in December 2021. He loves the nursery and all of the staff. We are overall very happy with the level of care he receives there, but there have recently been a couple of shopping errors with his dietary requirements - not a major issue, but not ideal. We would also like to see him do more activities and bring things home with him than what he currently does.

My daughter and son both attend Stonehouse Nursery, and they both absolutely love it. My daughter has additional needs, and the staff can't do enough for her, always willing to go the extra mile to help her achieve her full potential. She is absolutely thriving, and a lot of that is thanks to Stonehouse. They have been amazing meeting her needs since the day she started. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My baby started to go to nursery when he was 9-weeks-old, and he has enjoyed it there. Every day, when I went to get him, they do tell you what happened during his day, and they do keep your baby’s routines. All staff are passionate and friendly with children, well knowledgeable. An absolutely brilliant nursery in the area!
