Lancaster Day Nursery and Preschool offers exceptional care and early education for children aged 3 months to 4 years.

The all-inclusive care includes nutritious meals, nappies, formula, and more. With convenient onsite parking and a buggy park, it is ideally located on the grounds of the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, offering longer hours from 7:00am to 6:30pm.

The nursery provides spacious rooms designed to support your child’s development at each stage.

The baby room, for children aged 3 months to 2 years, is bright and inviting with plenty of space for exploration and a separate sleeping area. It also features direct access to the baby garden.

Toddlers (ages 2 to 3) enjoy a cosy room that encourages toilet training and language development, while preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) have a dedicated space to build key skills and prepare for school, with access to a shared garden. All children benefit from Boogie Mites music sessions, which use music and song to support learning.

The nursery follows the Bright Beginnings Curriculum, an enriching programme designed by Early Years specialists, which builds upon the government’s EYFS curriculum.

This holistic approach to education nurtures your child's wellbeing and personal growth, ensuring they thrive as they transition between rooms or prepare for school. Parents can stay connected and updated on their child’s activities through the Bright Horizons Family app, providing peace of mind and a window into their little one's day.

In addition to indoor learning, it offers outdoor adventures in two large gardens. Babies have their own garden filled with age-appropriate activities, while toddlers and preschoolers share a spacious area with free-flow access and an exciting Forest School section, perfect for exploring nature.

Brilliant communication from the Nursery. I love the daily updates on the app with lots of lovely pictures. Great environment for my son with lots of activities. Caring staff who put in lots of effort. This Nursery is fantastic for my Sons development. He loves going to nursery. Proper homely meals,
he is always well fed.

My daughter started this nursery at the beginning of January. Since she's started I've noticed nothing but positive changes in my daughter's behavior and development. The staff and management are absolutely wonderful and provide the utmost care to my child, which as a mother is one of the most important

Our daughter started nursery at the beginning of this year, being only ten months old. As a first-time mum, I was really anxious about leaving her at nursery to begin with but have found all of the staff at Lancaster Day Nursery really helped to settle me, as well as my little girl. It has only been
a few weeks but she seems to have already gotten used to the nursery routine and is having lots of fun when I go to pick her up. It took no time at all for her to bond with her key person and I really appreciate all of the time and effort that they put into making her feel safe and comfortable. The app is also great to be able to keep up with how she is spending her day and it’s very informative. We are extremely happy with the nursery so far and can’t thank the staff (especially her key person) enough for how well my daughter has settled.

I cannot recommend the nursery enough, the dedication and time given to our daughter since starting nursery have been amazing!
The support from the staff to settle her in during the pandemic, whereby prior to attending nursery she had very little contact with other people has just been fantastic.
This has also made my return to work really easy!
Since starting nursery, my daughter has taken a particular shine to one of the nursery workers. Once she sees her smiley face welcoming her in the morning there's no looking back to me or her daddy!
Having said that, the manager and all the staff have been amazing during these uncertain times. We rely on the nursery so much to ensure we can still work. How they have managed the situation is an absolute credit to the team!
On behalf of myself, my husband and most importantly the nursery worker...thank you all so much, you're all doing a fab job! It really hasn't gone unnoticed!

Both our children are going through the nursery at the moment, one pre-school and one in the intermediate room. Both love going and always come out full of beans and talking about their day.
They both started in the baby room and the support for new parents and the babies is excellent and they seem
to just be able to deal with anything.
The key workers for both children are loved by the kids so that just shows how well the whole setup works.
The whole team seem very professional and friendly, including all the support staff who we don’t see very often.
The response during the pandemic has been excellent, open all the way through and running the nursery even with reduced numbers sometimes. We hardly noticed a difference it was dealt with so well.
Our son, the eldest child, moves on to school in September, and he’s already asking if he can see the staff after school when we pick up our daughter, which says it all.
Excellent nursery and a special thanks to the key workers.

The staff at the nursery have supported not only my son but me as a first time mum with their advice. They have encouraged my son to try new things and he has thrived.
I know that when he starts school in September that he will miss nursery and the staff there, but I know that because of their love
and dedication he will transition well into reception.

My daughter joined in the baby room. She is now in pre-school. Not only does she love it, I feel like I have been supported through every step of the way as well.

My boy enjoys going to nursery. I think he receives lots of cuddles from the lovely carers and has become particularly fond of them. He occasionally shows off some of the skills he has acquired from the nursery like pretending to read books belonging to his elder siblings.

Our eldest is now 4 and developed a wonderful personality at nursery. He has a huge amount of respect for his key worker, and the trusting relationship he has with her has been so valuable. Life through Covid has been tough on children, but the Lancaster team have done amazing work to help the children
and families feel safe, secure... and as normal as we can. And last month, our daughter started nursery at 11-months in the baby room, and wow! They have been amazing in adjusting to the new rules, and understanding of how it feels for parents. Our little girl loves going to nursery and is so excited to see all the staff in the morning. Her key worker and colleague have done an amazing job of settling her. The biggest compliment is that when we drop her off, she's always looking in, and not back at mummy and daddy. Both my children are thriving here, and I'm so grateful to all of the wonderful team helping nursery be a place of love, fun and learning for my children.

Our daughter has been at this nursery for 3 years. She absolutely loves going there.
The staff work as a great team and constantly keep us informed of our daughter's progress and daily activities.
The passion and enthusiasm of the staff is clear to see and I feel that is the reason my daughter is
coming along "leaps and bounds" in her personal development.

I cannot thank the staff enough for helping my little boy settle into the nursery when he struggled with the transition of me dropping him off. Bright Horizons ensured he was settled, offering cuddles and lots of communication with Mum and Dad on his progress. My son has built an amazing bond with many
staff members, probably all. My son has come on leaps and bounds since attending Bright Horizons. He is more confident going now which is nice. I know my son is in completely safe hands at Bright Horizons.

The staff settled my daughter into the nursery straightaway and she loves coming each day.
They provide lots of activities throughout the day and enjoy learning about what she has done.
The nursery is always sending lots of lovely artwork home each week and each day enjoy reading her day in her life
sheets.
Each morning the staff are keen to know how she has been throughout the night and if there is any change to her care during that day.
Because they provide great care for my daughter I have been able to go back to work with ease.

My daughter started with this nursery at 6 months old. She is still there and is now 2 years. The nursery is very professional, caring and helpful. My daughter has advanced in her learning and her confidence in meeting other children and adapting to her routine is fantastic and I believe this is down
to her attending this fantastic nursery. All the staff are lovely and you can see they all enjoy their work. Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend Hospitots.

I feel our daughter is really cared about at this nursery. She is relatively new to the nursery environment and the staff have all gone above and beyond to help her settle and feel happy. The nursery is however costly and the allocation of the 30 free hours is not very "customer friendly" and is somewhat
off-putting. Several other local nurseries are offering the allocation much more competitively.
Also whilst I understand the workload the nursery is bad at replying to emails or providing receipts of invoices meaning we have missed the cut off for our salary sacrifice scheme resulting in us losing the opportunity to save money.

I am very impressed with Hospitots Lancaster. Both my children have gone through the nursery. The nursery carers are motivated, engaged with the children, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They provide a lovely atmosphere which the kids love. After three years of nursery my daughter was ready for
school and was well trained in socialising and making friends. My son is following the same route. I can not recommend them more.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for 3 years and she loves it! She adores the staff and has so much fun - I love it when she tells me what she's been learning about that day! The staff are wonderful, completely understanding of any particulars that you may want them to pay attention to/embrace
and very easily approachable should you have a query or a worry. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere bright, pleasant, nurturing and enjoyable for their child. It gives you confidence when you are leaving your child with someone else, particularly for what could be the first few times.
