What can I say? Poplars Nursery is the best nursery around, it really is. My daughter left in July 2017 and she loved everything about it. Her teachers are really good, nice and great teachers.

Poplars Nursery is not only Ofsted "Outstanding" but from a parent's view, it is also outstanding.

It has just finished building extensions to provide even more of a safe learning experience for children and the nursery stayed open throughout the renovations and did not affect in anyway my child's nursery experience. It's a loving, warm, caring experience not just for the children who attend but also for the parents. Thank you Poplars.

Thank you for such a high accolade. It is humbling to hear such lovely praise from someone who knows the industry so well. We respect that our parents are just as individual as their children and value their input tremendously. Thank you.

Our daughter attends this nursery two days a week and receives an outstanding level of childcare. The recent nursery expansion has meant that she has access to a variety of stimulating activities to support her development. We have excellent communication from her key worker, and the 'Home to Nursery' links make us feel well informed of all aspects of her progression. An excellent setting that we highly recommend.

We are fortunate to have such supportive parents who appreciate how good communication channels between home and nursery can impact positively on a child's learning. It is a pleasure to a part of your lovely daughter's journey.

Both of my sons have attended Poplars. The staff are very friendly and professional. It is possible to gauge their progress and gain insight into the activities. They are involved in through extensive refurbishment recently which is very light, modern and very impressive. My eldest has just started primary school and the transition/handover was seamless a full developmental/progress report provided.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's great to hear that the transition to school went well. We miss his lovely character. We still have another year though to enjoy supporting and watching your youngest child blossom and grow.

We have been sending the children to Poplars Nursery since 2013. Both children have enjoyed their time there, the staff are so loving and helpful. They do French, dance, drama, football, sports. The outside play area is brilliant and the new layout *2017* of the inside is super, we looked at different nurseries in the area but nothing is even close to this. Very happy.

Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland Meadows

Thank you for you lovely comments. The children are thoroughly enjoying the refurbished and extended space. It's nice that you have been a part of the Poplars family for so long.

My little girl just started here a month ago without any English. The staff are supportive, trusting, competent and caring so even though she has some tears in the morning, she is always happy by the end of her session. I was so apprehensive putting my daughter into a nursery but the ladies there filled me with faith and updated me daily how she was getting on. I cannot recommend here enough. Thank you!

Thank you. Your daughter is settling in beautifully and has embraced nursery life very well. I'm glad your apprehension has been relieved and we look forward in continuing to support and nurture her at Poplars.

It's always very hard for a parent to choose a nursery for their children and I have to say, my husband and I looked for lots of nurseries in the past but we didn't like any of them except the Poplars. As soon as we walked in, we felt very welcoming, all staff seemed very nice and professional and the whole environment felt very child-friendly, safe, spacious, clean and hygienic. Since then, we feel like it's even better- both of our kids attending (our son attended - he is at school now) to the Poplars and we know now, we have made the best decision for choosing Poplars for our children. All staff are working very hard to support the children with their individual needs (physical, emotional and social needs) and encouraging them to make progress. We have a very good relationship with all the staff and they always share information with us. It's a brilliant nursery with a brilliant team and we are very lucky that our children could belong to Poplars because they are simply the Best!

Thank you. I agree, choosing a nursery can be very daunting and worrying as you need to make sure it's right for you and your family's needs. Thank you for entrusting your lovely children with us. We are so glad that you feel the way you do. It's a privilege and a pleasure to have you a part of our Poplars family.

My son has attended Poplars Nursery for 9months. He loves going to nursery and has made excellent progress. Staff are warm and welcoming and we love that we can view and participate in his learning journey via Tapestry.

He loves playing football with too. The new and updated facilities have made such a difference to the environment.

Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland Meadows

Thank you. We love having him and he has certainly has made excellent progress. We really do value your input into the Tapestry learning journal and it's great to hear that you enjoy this too.

An outstanding nursery that my children have been attending for the last three years. The staff are exceptional and both my children love them so much. A hidden gem of a nursery in Leyland. Feedback is given on the children's day on every pick-up, and they regularly post updates on an internal system called Tapestry, showing milestones achieved, pictures of the children mid activities and areas they have enjoyed. They celebrate the children's achievements in such a way you never feel like you have missed anything. The meals and snacks provided are always enjoyed and varied. The nursery has just undergone a major refurbishment to the highest standard and the new outdoor areas are a delight and utilised in all weather's thanks to non-slip decking and UV canopies. A very well managed nursery so I've never worried about leaving any of my children in their care. Highly recommend this nursery to everyone - it's just amazing!

My daughter has spent the last year at Poplars in the preschool class and has loved every minute. The staff are great with loads of experience. They have excellent classes, my daughter loves the dance and French classes in particular. Poplars is a lovely caring environment where staff take a genuine interest in the children and their development. I would strongly recommend this nursery.

My little boy loves Poplars. From when he first attended in December 2015 the staff have been fantastic. They took great care to ensure he settled in when he was unsure in the first few weeks and now he bursts through the door. I visit nurseries regularly through work and Poplars stood out from the rest. It is extremely clean and my son loves the food! The outdoor area is great too and activities are varied.

My 2 boys have attended this nursery for 15 months now and I am so glad I chose Poplars. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and my boys love going, they have a special bond with their teachers and have learnt and developed so much since they first started.
Management is fantastic, keeping me up to date with the boy's progress really makes me appreciate the time they put into my 2 children learning and developing. The boys love the activities they do (French & Dancing) and have both earned certificates which they are so proud of.

Poplars are like a little school, nicely structured and lots of fun times too, Tapestry is a new tool they have introduced and is a great way to see what my children have been doing each day and a way to share what they have been learning at home too. I wouldn't want my boys to be anywhere else.

All the staff are so nurturing and give a very professional yet warm and friendly approach to each individual child. Their communication is excellent. It really is a wonderful nursery with fab staff.

Of the 3 nursery's we visited we knew straight away that this was the right one for our daughter. We could see from the initial visit that the classes are very structured when at some of the other nurseries they seemed more like organised chaos. Since our daughter has attended for pre-school sessions we have been really impressed at the level of teaching by all the nursery staff. She talks glowingly of all her 'teachers' and amazes us with the content of her daily learning (including french and dance which our little one thoroughly enjoys). The nursery caters for outdoor play in all seasons and promotes outdoor learning at any opportunity no matter the weather. We have access to the tapestry website which shows us pictures of her day, giving us a run down of her day's activities and the staff always have time for a quick chat at collection time to update us on her progress. Highly recommend.

We have had children at this nursery for the past 5 years and in that time we have been fortunate to have the same staff looking after our children and to me, that shows what an excellent caring and loving place Poplars is. Our children have loved going and we feel very confident in the staff at Poplars. We know our children receive the love and care and attention they need to develop and get ready for school. I cannot recommend a better nursery. The food and menu are amazing and my children love lunchtime! We have visited a few and none come close to the personal care and attention bestowed by the staff, we really feel they are a part of our family as much as the children are a part of the family at Poplars!

My son has been at Poplars for the last 2 years. During this time he has progressed in leaps and bounds! He has particularly enjoyed football with the players from PNE's Academy and also French lessons which he got a certificate, for being the best in class on that day. The nursery is like a little school, every day prepares them for 'big school'. The teachers are all fantastic and have recently appointed a new manager who is doing a fabulous job!! Filling the previous manager's shoes was always going to be a task but she has risen to the challenge and has brought a positive future to Poplars.

Our little 2 year old has been with Poplars for over 8 months and has developed so well, emotionally, socially and in terms of overall behaviour. We returned to the area from another outstanding nursery in Morecambe, but nothing can compare to the exceptional levels of service, standards of care and brilliance of the staff here. We will be looking to maintain our full time place with this outstanding nursery until our little girl is ready for school.

A** 100% OUTSTANDING!! My daughter has been attending Poplars Nursery Since January 2015. It was our best move I have made. Poplar's staff are so caring, approachable and most of all, their main priority is the children. I can not fault ANYTHING with the running of the nursery itself nor the staff. My daughter loves going in the morning and hates coming home at night as she has so much fun with all her friends and teachers. They care to every need of my daughter, she has some dietary requirements at the time and the staff knew exactly what she can and can't have even without me saying so. The nursery, even looking through the door, is so warm and inviting and I would encourage anyone who is looking for a nursery in this area, to most definitely choose Poplars!! The extra curriculum activities are amazing and my daughter loves everything about this nursery day in and out. This nursery has been OUTSTANDING for at least 10 years! this has to count for something.
