My daughter, 1 year 6 months, is at nursery full time. All the staff have been absolutely amazing with her, especially her key worker. She has a very lovely relationship with staff and you can tell she is comfortable and cared for. The nursery manager is always around to answer any questions and is
very approachable. My daughter is also vegan and has allergies. The staff cater specifically for her and are very cautious.

My daughter has been attending Corner House Nursery Poplars since January, and I am so happy we did the transfer, she was born just before lockdown so has always struggled in new environments but the staff particularly her key worker, are absolutely brilliant. So caring, and considerate and have managed
to settle her in quickly. She has come on hugely in her confidence, knowledge and social skills and this is massively down to the support of the staff. The range of activities that are on offer each day is inspirational and I know my daughter will thrive in this environment. The preschool staff are always approachable at the beginning and end of each day and share all relevant information needed. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and can see the outstanding work that each staff member puts in every day to make sure that the children are put first in everything they do.

My daughter has been attending Poplars since April 2021 and I have nothing but praise. My little girl struggled with the transition to nursery due to being born during lockdown and not having much contact with others but the staff, particularly her key worker, were brilliant and eased the transition,
settling her quickly and allowing her to become more confident. She has made so much progress with social interactions and confidence whilst at nursery and this is massively down to the work of the staff. The range of activities they do such as sensory activities, bug hunts, mini Olympics, what's in the box singing, art, baking, role play etc. allow my daughter to flourish and I am always well informed of everything my daughter has done, eaten and napped throughout the day. The staff are always happy to chat with us at pick up time to share any other information or answer any queries. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and love that my daughter is happy and enjoys being there.

Poplars is a truly fantastic nursery. My little boy loves going and I have always felt confident leaving him. The staff are fantastic, the facilities are outstanding and my little boy has come on leaps and bounds since attending. My other little boy will be attending next year and I have no doubt he
will absolutely love it too. I couldn't recommend it enough.

My daughter started in March 2020 and has been there ever since. We have experience in the baby room, and now the toddler room, and I cannot recommend them enough. All the ladies who work there have a huge love and passion for the job they do, you can see the relationship they build with my child and
it's magical to see. My daughter enjoys every single day there, coming home with stories and songs to share. The communication and trust I have with this nursery is second to none, they are absolutely wonderful! A special thanks to her keyworkers in the baby room and toddler room. You have both - along with everyone else - made my return to full-time work so much easier and less guilt-ridden thanks to the care and love they put into caring and helping my daughter grow and learn. If you are looking for a nursery, you can't go wrong when choosing Poplars and the wonderful ladies who work here. Thank you all.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you! This made such lovely reading. You are correct in your observation about the love and passion the staff have for their profession and it pleases us greatly to hear that this shines through in the care they provide. There is no greater accolade than having children entrusted into our care and we feel very privileged when we are chosen by parents as the nursery for them. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for choosing us.

My child has attended Poplars Nursery for over three years, across all three of their rooms. Bumblebees, Bluebirds and Butterflies. All rooms are clean, bright and have a great range of equipment. They have access to a lovely outdoor space too which is utilised every day. I can't speak highly enough
of the setting or the staff. The support they offer the children and parents goes above and beyond what is required. The staff seem to develop great bonds with the children and you can see that they genuinely care. They provide a wide range of activities, messy play, craft, experiments and team games. My son has thrived here and looks forward to going. Don't hesitate in trusting the staff at Poplars Nursery to take care of your little ones.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you for your lovely recommendation. It is always a pleasure to read such warm comments about everything that we value so highly. The staff work so hard in delivering such high standards of care and education and so it's great to hear that this is reflected in the satisfaction you feel. Our eldest son has been at Poplars for more than 2 years. In that time he has flourished into a confident, happy, outgoing boy and we couldn't ask for anything better in terms of care and progression. We are updated daily on activities via the app which allows us to understand how our son's day has
been and what fun and interesting things he has been involved with. More recently time has been invested to get our eldest child ready for "big school" which has been really well received, by both our son and us as parents. We are so happy with the service that Poplars provides that our second child is signed up to start there in September! Would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences of Poplars. It is very important to us that channels of communication with parents are open as this really helps with enabling learning to continue outside of the nursery. It also helps when we have such lovely and supportive parents. It has been a pleasure watching your little one grow in confidence and maturity. We look forward to the next set of adventures we will have with your youngest child.

My little boy started at Poplars Nursery the month after his second birthday. We had his placement secured there for a long time, after we viewed it I knew I didn't want him anywhere else and they have not disappointed at all. After a very hard year for everyone, they have been amazing when they did
have to close due to public health England's advice. They were very professional and put daily activities up for the children to do while the nursery was closed, which was amazing. My son enjoys going, he has come on so quickly since starting learning new things, having new experiences every week and is so excited to see his key worker, saying that he is going to see her and that she is his friend while driving up to drop him off. She gives us an update when we pick him up about what he's done during the day, which is lovely to hear. I have my second child booked to start already and that's not until May to June time in 2022. From a mum who was very worried about parting from her child, I have no regrets.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you for such a lovely and honest review. It means so much to us when we hear that children enjoy close attachments to their key person. It reassures us that the systems we have in place work, not only for the children but for the parents too. Peace of mind is priceless and I’m glad we provide that. I’m so glad you enjoyed the daily activities during lockdown too.

This was the one and only nursery myself and my husband visited when looking for the best childcare for our son. From the moment we popped in unannounced, we were taken aback by the welcome visit, how happy all the staff were and even more how happy the children were. We got the warmest, happiest feeling
and knew there and then this is where our son would attend. My son is now three years old and is thriving. It is the hardest thing for a mother and father to leave their eleven-month-old baby in someone else’s care, but we couldn’t have felt more reassured that he was in the best hands. The staff go above and beyond, and we have felt that about all the three rooms he has been in. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do for our son.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you. What a joy it was to read your heartfelt thoughts. I remember your drop-in visit well and am so glad you felt it right to entrust your little one with us. Ensuring that our parents feel reassured and happy is something very important to us, and I’m pleased to hear we got it right. May the adventures continue.

Since our little boy started nursery at thirteen months old, he has had the best time at Poplars Nursery. The staff are fantastic; they are very caring and great at keeping parents informed of all the daily ongoings. Even during Covid-19, Poplars Nursery has gone above and beyond to ensure that they
are as safe as possible, without compromising the care they provide for the children or the communication with parents. Our son loves going to nursery, and we could think of nowhere better to send our son.

My little girl started preschool at Poplars Nursery back in September 2020. We weren’t sure how she would be as she had been at a childminder prior to that and then lockdown for six months at home, so it was a big change for her. The staff were absolutely amazing, from the first week we could tell we’d
made the right decision. She’s so happy, has formed wonderful friendships and really enjoys ‘going to school’. The staff are extremely friendly, kind and always make an effort to come out each day to fill us in on what she’s been up to that day. We receive daily updates and photos so we can see the activities she’s been involved in. She’s come on leaps and bounds in the last twelve months and we are really happy she started at Poplars Nursery. Highly recommend.
Reply from Hayley Hinton, Manager at Thrive Leyland MeadowsThank you for your kind words. It's always lovely to hear how reassured parents feel and that they are confident in the decision they made to join us at Poplars. Lockdown has been incredibly tough for the little ones and has impacted upon so many areas of their emotional development. It's great when we can help to nurture their well being and provide lots of positive experiences.

As soon as I visited Poplars Nursery to look around for my little boy, I knew I felt happy to leave my 10-month-old in the team's care. The room, the outside space, the activities and the staff are all fantastic and I left feeling comforted that he would be happy there. Over the last 4 months, I have
noticed huge developmental leaps in my little boy. He’s learning so much and becoming more and more of a character and that is definitely thanks to the support, engagement and encouraging activities the team runs every day. My little boy's key person is absolutely fantastic, he adores her and that makes drop offs much easier! The app is also fantastic so that I can check on him throughout the day to see what he’s eaten, his nappy changes and his naps as well as lovely photos and videos! I was also impressed at the quick adoption of a doorbell app now that covid means we can’t wait inside on winter's days. I honestly couldn’t speak any more highly of the fantastic team, 100% recommended!

I could not recommend Poplars Nursery more highly. My son has attended for three years and I cannot fault the support he has received in each of the three rooms and from all of the staff who have looked after him on his days there. Each member of staff puts everything they have into the children and to make sure us parents are fully involved in every step of our child’s journey. It was, by far, the best decision

Poplars Nursery have completely exceeded our expectations. Our daughter's development in every aspect has progressed so much over the last two years and it was the best decision we made. All the staff are caring, compassionate and extremely helpful and friendly. Poplars is immaculate, the communication

After having a terrible first encounter with my child’s care when I returned to work I was unable to leave her with anyone so I quit work and stayed at home. Once my daughter became three she kept asking to go to school and make friends, incredibly nervous and scared I went to visit many nurseries in
the local area, none of them settled my nerves. I found Poplars by accident and I’m so glad I did. I arranged a visit and felt at ease the second I walked in, the children were having Spanish dance classes when I went to visit which was incredible. The garden is a nice large area too. My daughter loved it so much she didn’t want to leave and cried all the way home. I signed the paperwork that day and got her signed up. My daughter hasn’t been at Poplars long when Covid struck and the team were so incredible through the lockdown keeping in touch to check all was well and keep us informed on any new news. We have been back a while now and my daughter is loving every single day there.

If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 number of registered child places is 13.6, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
