I can't recommend The Stables Nursery enough! The staff are absolutely wonderful-so kind, caring, and attentive. They treat my child as if she were their own, creating such a warm and nurturing environment. I never have to worry when I drop her off because I know she's in the safest hands. It's clear
how much they genuinely care for each child, and that peace of mind is priceless. A truly amazing nursery!

This is an amazing nursery with amazing staff. All the staff are so kind, caring and supportive. My little boy absolutely loves going to nursery and has learnt so much since being at The Stables. The nursery manager arranges lots of events for the children which makes it even more fun, even a sports
day too where the adults could join in! This nursery has also been really accommodating with my partner's shift patterns which we are extremely grateful for. Both my partner and I would highly recommend The Stables Nursery.

My little boy has been coming here for over a year, and we love it! The staff were patient and consistent when he was settling in and never rushed him, he now runs in and barely says bye to me at the door, I leave him knowing he is cared for like he is at home. He has come on so much in his confidence,
speech and social skills, I couldn't be happier.

Nothing has been too much trouble to all the staff when settling in my Grandson into the nursery which he joined in September this year. My daughter and I chose this nursery because when we viewed it had a fantastic family atmosphere and all the children were happy, confident, and content. We are so

My son has attended The Stables Nursery since the age of two. It was one of many nurseries we visited but we instantly fell in love with the location, atmosphere and general feel of the place. The care and education he has received there has been beyond anything we could have ever wished for. The nursery
have been so accommodating with my shift patterns, which has allowed me as a mum of three young children to stay in work full time. I can't thank them enough.

I have been sending my daughter to The Stables Nursery for over 12 months now and the staff have made the whole experience and transition so easy.
The first few months of handing my daughter over to the reassuring hands in the baby room, made my experience going back to work a lot easier. Within a
few weeks of a routine, I knew she was in capable hands and I didn't have to worry when I was in work.
They helped her transition into a toddler at her pace and listened to her needs and comforts.
She has thrived going to nursery and the number of activities she gets up to in a day is amazing. She loves to be involved in everything and I can tell how comfortable she is around the staff because her confidence is growing every day.
The staff are so easy to speak to at every interaction. They provide a summary of the day every day of what she has done and eaten. They always update me over the phone if there has been an incident such as a tumble or if she isn't feeling well. Always informed.

After my son started 6 months earlier, there was no question that The Stables Nursery would make choice for my daughter. Honestly, the children love the Nursery just as much as the parents. After a few valuable settling in sessions, It was like she'd been there forever. All the staff are so friendly,
amazingly supportive and so much more. My daughter enjoys her time at Nursey, all the activities that they provide are thoroughly thought through and work towards enhancing and developing certain skill sets, to extend this, they document it on an easy parent-friendly app.
Nothing is impossible at The Stables, their positive attitude speaks volumes, every child is treated as an individual, and their individual needs are always cared for, with attention to detail being spot on.
The decision to have both my little ones at The Stables was made on the first phone call. The warm, friendly, caring personalities of all the staff, make it feel like you're leaving them with family.

Amazing nursery. We moved our little girl here after being at another nursery and were so worried she would struggle as she had just turned 3 and made friends at her old nursery, but she absolutely loves it here! She's made amazing friendships already and adores the staff. Our little boy also started
here when he was 7 months old and after struggling with medical issues since before birth we were very paranoid about him starting at nursery but he loves every minute of it and we are so comfortable knowing we are leaving him in safe hands. We are always told what amazing food they have eaten and the wonderful activities they have enjoyed!

The whole family feel extremely lucky that our daughter attends this nursery. She has loved it from day dot! We are first-time parents and natural worriers, all the staff have made us feel part of their family, we both enjoy the drop off/pick up and chatting to staff. The kitchen facilities are fabulous,
our daughter loves her grub and she sometimes gets a special cuddle from the chef! I wanted a nursery that had a good focus on being outdoors, the outside space is lovely and we enjoy looking at all the birds, tractor, planes and flowers. Thank you to The Stables team!

We moved our daughter to The Stables when we moved to a new house in the area. We were nervous because she was nearly 3 and had made many friends at her previous nursery so we thought she may struggle to adjust. We needn't have worried because from day one she was telling us how much she loved it there,
and that still holds true nearly a year later! Our 10-month-old has also just started, and has settled in brilliantly. She took her first steps in her first week there after watching the other kids, and her speech is already coming along amazingly since she started. The staff are so wonderful and accommodating. They truly take the time to get to know each child, even if they're not in charge of their room. It's such a friendly atmosphere, and they do a fantastic job of celebrating a variety of cultural holidays which furthers the children's education and knowledge of the world. We can't recommend this nursery enough. We're so happy we found it and will be so sad when the girls leave!

Our son has been attending this nursery since he was 11 months old. We loved the nursery from the minute we walked in and that staff have only cemented our love for it over the months. We were made to feel so welcomed and had complete confidence that our son would be very well looked after. Our son
has come on so well in all aspects of his early development and the staff make us feel like part of the family who are just as excited about each milestone as we are! We couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.

My little girl started at The Stables in April and she has settled in so well! The Stables listened to my concerns about her being upset when I left her and arranged multiple settling-in sessions in order for her to settle in without too many tears! I love all the artwork she brings home to us and I
feel reassured that my little girl is well looked after when I have had to return to work. She is thriving and has changed so much since going to nursery - eating more, talking and walking! My little boy has attended this nursery since he was 14 months old, having moved areas as a family, they helped him settle in and listened to us as parents. We always worked together to ensure he had the best learning opportunities the staff are fab and so friendly. I would recommend it to anyone looking
for a nice setting with lots of wrap-around support! I will miss them when he starts school in a few months!

My son has developed great skills whilst attending The Stables. The teachers and staff are caring and genuinely interested in your child's development.
It's been two years and we are sad to be leaving in September but equally excited in knowing our son has the fundamentals to start big boy school.

Well run nursery with pleasant and engaging staff. My granddaughter really likes going there and loves the ladies who look after her. Lots of activities to keep her entertained and loads of encouragement to keep her improving in her development. The food is great, she loves the pea and ham soup.

Shannon Downs

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

I began my career in childcare by completing my Level 3 qualification in 2015 during my time at college. I joined Evolution Childcare in June 2016 at the Stables site, where I first worked in the Toddler Room. In 2019, I was promoted to Room Manager in the Early Learners Room, a role that allowed me to support all rooms across the nursery and continue developing my skills through extensive in-house and online training.


In April 2021, I transitioned to our sister nursery, The Abbey, where I continued to grow professionally while working alongside a wide range of colleagues and teams. In October 2024, I applied for the Assistant Manager position at the Stables and was delighted to return to the nursery where my Evolution journey began.


Throughout my time with Evolution Childcare, I have received strong support and guidance from management and have taken on several additional responsibilities, including Health and Safety Officer, Events Lead, and SENDCo. These roles have strengthened my understanding of nursery operations and deepened my commitment to inclusive, high-quality practice.


Most recently, I have been promoted to Nursery Manager at the Stables. I am proud to continue my journey here and look forward to leading the team, supporting our families, and contributing to the positive experiences and development of the children in our care.
