A lovely little nursery where the staff care so much for their children and everyone knows the kid's names. The activities are tailored to not only the needs of the kids in the room but also the time of year they are in keeping a wide variety of activities going on for the children. The staff are very informative when they do drop off as to what has happened that day and the online journal is great to see. I would highly recommend. They also have an on-site chef who prepares the meals and menus!

Buttercups Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Ellesmere Port, is a fantastic nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was 10 months old. The staff are excellent, approachable, down to earth and extremely capable. The nursery is very welcoming to both parents and children and it is easy to address any questions or queries about my daughter's day to day. The children also play outside in the fresh air every day which I think is extremely important.
It is a home from home environment where they treat children like their own. I would highly recommend Buttercups to any parent.

As a parent it is hard to leave your child and go back to work, but the staff at Buttercups Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Ellesmere Port made it so much easier to do that. From the first visit they were warm and welcoming, they answered all my questions and engaged with my son on his settling in sessions. They gave him time to adjust and worked around his needs, he even gives a wave now when I leave which is so lovely. The best part of the day is picking him up and seeing a great big smile on his face and hearing all the things he has been doing. The Learning Journey is great as we can see pictures of him playing with other children and just having fun.

My daughter first started at Buttercups Private Day Nursery and Preschool, Ellesmere Port, in January 2019. Initially, for the social aspect, it was for 1 day a week. My daughter loved going to nursery as she met so many new friends and her confidence grew. She has learnt so much and is very good with her words, numbers, colours an shapes. My daughter has an understanding of words that go together. I would highly recommend the nursery, the staff are lovely with my daughter and us parents. The staff are very helpful if I have a question and they fully update us on how her day has been from diet to leaning curves. I feel very reassured that my daughter enjoys nursery and the staff are very caring towards her. I would highly recommend Buttercups and am happy we chose the right nursery for our 3-year-old. My little girl has been here since she was 18 months old. She's not long moved into the preschool room and she loves it, always comes home telling me what she has done that day and tells me all about her friends. She adores the girls that work in the preschool room and the rest of the staff across the nursery. They are always kind and caring and my daughter has learnt so much, she comes home singing the days of the week song every day.
Staff are a real credit to the nursery and the manager and deputy manager always go above and beyond.

We can't recommend Buttercups enough, our son was shy and nervous around new people when he first attended the nursery, but since attending and graduating to preschool class he has come on leaps and bounds. Our son has attended Buttercups since he was nine months and I can honestly say the nursery have been fantastic. He had a dairy allergy when he first joined and nothing was too much trouble for them, they made sure to order his specific formula in.

He is now in preschool and he loves it. Throughout this difficult time nursery has been the one normal thing for him and I can not thank all the staff enough for all they have done! Keep up the good work, it’ll be a sad day when leaves for school!

We will always be so grateful how they have helped him develop into the polite and friendly little boy that he is now. We were a little worried about signing our son up for nursery as he was quite shy and didn't really spend much time outside of me and his Mum. We saw a couple of nurseries before settling on one and I'm so glad we decided to go with Buttercups. The first time we went for a visit the manager got down on her knee to get to his eye level to talk to him before talking to us. I absolutely loved this, it was all about our son and not about us, or money, or anything other than fun things to get him excited and then she went on to tell us all the things they do each day. We actually felt like the staff loved working at the nursery and we weren't being an inconvenience visiting. Our son was very apprehensive and upset the first few times but it didn't take long before he felt comfortable enough to be there and now I barely get a goodbye before he runs off to play.
He's developed so much more there and he loves all the girls. I can't recommend Buttercups enough!
