My child has attended Footsteps Nursery for the last 9 months following my return to work post maternity leave. The care he has received by the staff there has been wonderful. I have watched his learning and development continue to advance and this is all supported by the dedicated team and the activities
they share.
I couldn't recommend this nursery more. My child is excited to attend and has developed some lovely relationships both with the other children and the team. It is a joy to pick him up and listen to all the things he has done in his day filled with learning, fun and imagination.

Footsteps treat our son like family. We always know when it's a nursery day as he is always excited to go. He comes home so happy and with lots of new words and skills. All the staff are so kind, caring and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.

I have nothing but good things to say about Footsteps Wilmslow. I viewed several nurseries before seeing Footsteps and for me, Footsteps was a cut above the rest. I especially loved the outdoor space, the bright and clean building and the staff. Most importantly, our daughter also loves it and every
morning she runs happily inside with a big smile on her face. The staff are very invested in her development and well-being and I can't thank them enough for that.

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough! My little boy started at age 9 months and they have put my mind at rest from day one and he has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He loves going and gets excited to see the staff every morning. They keep me updated throughout the day which is amazing!
The staff are fab and always happy to help with any changes or issues that occur.

Sending our daughter to Footsteps has been one of the best decisions we've ever made since becoming parents. She has been there since she was 4 1/2 months old and we honestly believe that a huge part of her overall development into the cheeky, adventurous, happy and friendly toddler she is now is in
huge part thanks to the incredible staff at Footsteps and the environment they cultivate.
In every room she has been in so far (3 in total) the staff have welcomed her with open arms and have really made me feel safe and confident that she is being looked after by people who genuinely care about her. We are relocating to another part of the UK in the next few months and I am going to be so sad to have to take my daughter out of this incredible setting because I'm just not sure we're going to find anywhere else that even begins to compare to the magic that is Footsteps Nursery.
I couldn't recommend them highly enough and will be very, very sad to say goodbye.

A fantastic nursery which we would happily recommend to anyone in the area. The purpose-built building is well designed with plenty of lovely indoor and outdoor space for the children. The staff are wonderful and have really looked after our children and supported our whole family, and the manager
and the team are very quick to respond to any questions we have. We are kept well informed through the app and love to see the pictures of what the children are up to each day. There are so many excellent activities including learning sign language and Spanish, trips out on nature walks and to the local care home, and really inventive play and sensory sessions. The menu appears well-balanced and varied. Overall we are very happy with Footsteps.

I have heard so many great things about this nursery and the way my Grandchild has come along these past few years has been exceptional, from singing songs, playing, dancing, and sharing, it's amazing. I would recommend Footsteps not just for how my Grandchild has come along but for the men and women
who have been dedicated to their jobs and spent 1 on 1 time with him.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough. My nephew has attended this nursery for 2 years now and he has developed so many skills along the way. I love seeing the activities he gets to do and the nursery caters to every learning need. The staff are amazing with the children too.

We now have our second child at Footsteps and believe this is the best nursery in the Wilmslow area.
The staff are great with parents and children and our dietary requirements are catered for.
Communication is excellent face-to-face or via their app.

I honestly can’t rave hard enough about footsteps - in fact whenever I talk about them to my friends I’m pretty sure I make them jealous compared to the other nursery experiences they are having.
1. Staff: the people who run this place care. They are truly an extended part of our family. They are
caring and careful and deeply involved in our baby’s life and development. They update us when he does something new or makes a leap and share in our highs and lows. They also check in when they’re worried or haven’t seen us for a while.
2. Food: My son eats such an incredible variety of food and he is not a fussy eater now at all! It’s all fresh and lovely and he comes home full and happy.
3: Activities: they are always doing something new creative and interesting! There’s a fantastic mix of outside and inside play as well as structured versus unstructured
4: Communication: they use an app and update it every single day. It’s amazing.
I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We are so pleased we chose Footsteps Wilmslow for our little one. The quality of care is amazing and he is so happy here, often skipping in and hugging the lovely team that works there. Many aspects set it apart, namely how inclusive it is with BSL lessons, the support and information you receive about
progress, and the kind, patient, and highly skilled staff. The main reason we chose Footsteps is that we wanted a home-from-home for our little one and Footsteps has certainly delivered this. We feel very lucky to be part of the Footsteps Family and highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been going footsteps since January 2022 and I can safely say the staff have been incredible. Her development has gone from strength to strength and as much as I would like to take credit it is down to the vast activities and games the nursery does with her.
The food is fantastic and
my daughter always comes home having had a great day.
The manager is great and has a fantastic team by her side. The rooms are set up brilliantly and the team is always available for questions.
Couldn’t recommend the nursery more!

We cannot recommend footsteps enough. The building is stunning, purpose-built and so many considerations taken into account. The garden area is fantastic, with so much to do and ever-changing and developing. The care and compassion the staff show are incredible and you feel as though you are part of
one big family. My children have had some health problems and again the staff have accommodated and cared for them, acting appropriately and diligently. The EYFS is followed and you are regularly updated via the app and at parent's evenings. The App the nursery uses is fantastic letting you upload info and pictures and is a good way to communicate with the staff. My children have come on so much and constantly amaze me with what they have learnt including greetings in a variety of languages and songs/phrases in sign language. My children have absolutely loved their time there, they have made some great friends and the whole family are so sad that our Footsteps journey has come to an end.

Our daughter has been at this nursery since she was 9 months old and she is so very happy there. The staff are great and she is coming on leaps and bounds in her development. The new building is absolutely lovely with so much for the children to do both inside and outside. Would highly recommend.

Extremely happy with the care provided, I need early morning starts which have been accommodated by the nursery. Both my children are happy and making progress there. Both are excited to go and have made friends and are confident and happy.

I can't praise Footsteps enough for their amazing team, fantastic new building and for their ability to have changed mine and my daughter's experience of nursery. My daughter was at another local nursery where each drop off was as painful as the last with an inconsolable little girl, a thereafter, very
guilty drive to work and a huge sense of sadness as to why she was so unsettled and unhappy.
She only started Footsteps in September last year but after a week of attending this nursery there were no tears, there were instead big smiles, new friends (who are so kind- she's already had 4 party invites!) and she now asks to go all the time. I honestly never thought I would reach this point! The staff at Footsteps are so kind and caring and their empathy towards my daughter and I and our past experience was amazing. Footsteps have completely changed mine and my daughter's life. We couldn't be happier and we couldn't be more thankful. I only wish I had found them sooner.

Excellent nursery little one is very happy, magnificent new facilities! Little one loves the new toys especially the wooden kitchen, staff are friendly, the building is clean and very secure, management are prompt to answer any questions.

My daughter really enjoys her time at Footsteps. The new building is amazing and the staff in Owls room have been brilliant in helping the children settle there. I will be sad to see my daughter leave in September.

I have a child in each of the nurseries and I feel that they are both very good. Both of my children love going to their nurseries, they both enjoy the wide range of activities that are offered to them. The children enjoy trips out into the community and to the local feeder school to visit various different
environments. The nurseries are multicultural, ensuring that they introduce the children to a wide range of cultures and beliefs. All of the food that is offered to the children is real, homemade meals.
The staff are amazing. They have a very good knowledge of each child, they communicate extremely well with both the parents and children. They try and encourage all of the children to undertake activities but also allow them the freedom to make their own choices.
The nursery never feels of crowded, there are always plenty of staff to talk to and my children are more than happy to seek out the staff.


I would highly recommend these nurseries, I did look at other nurseries in the area but they seemed to be about "ticking boxes" rather than caring for children and getting them ready for their next big challenging -primary school.

About Me


My name is Tanya, and I am a dedicated Early Years practitioner with over 23 years of experience working in childcare. I have a genuine passion for supporting young children as they learn, grow, and develop into confident individuals.


I hold a Level 4 qualification in Early Years, along with training in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), SENCo Level 3, and I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). These qualifications support my commitment to providing high-quality care and ensuring every child’s well-being is at the heart of my practice.


I strongly believe in the importance of learning through nature and the environment around us. By exploring the outdoors and engaging with real-life experiences, I help children build essential skills for life in a meaningful and enjoyable way.


I have extensive experience supporting children with neurodiversity and additional needs, and I am dedicated to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, understood, and supported to reach their full potential.


Building strong relationships with children and their families is at the heart of everything I do, ensuring each child feels safe, happy, and inspired to learn.
