I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and her team at House of Rompa. Both of my children have attended from being about a year old. They (and we) have just had a brilliant experience.

The team are all incredibly hard working, welcoming and above all, kind.

The range of activities on offer

for the children is fantastic. My son particularly enjoys his Spanish and Pilates lessons, and the impact that activities such as these (and others) have had on his ability to listen, concentrate and participate is brilliant. I have no doubt that the Rompa team are setting him up well for school life.

Communication has always been good. The new Tapestry system has been implemented seamlessly and gives a great 'live' update.

The kids enjoy fabulous home cooked food, and I love that they are engaged in sometimes choosing and preparing what they eat.

I could go on and on! Rompa is a really special place with an amazing team. We are so very lucky to have them!

In the time our Daughter has been attending House of Rompa Day Nursery, I have seen that their care for the young people is outstanding. Our Daughter's development has already improved, she is more interested in play at home and seems to explore more with her toys than previously, her speech and understanding
of language have also drastically improved since attending nursery.
Her allocated key worker provided exceptional care for her. It has been clear that she feels safe and secure in this relationship. Furthermore, we have been incredibly impressed with how all members of staff know our daughter already and us as her parents, this has been very reassuring that she is safeguarded well during her time at the nursery.
There is fantastic home/nursery communication through an app which provides us with pictures, videos and details of what she has done during her time at the nursery. Furthermore, we are provided with feedback on each pickup.

Our 14 month old started at the House of Rompa in January and we could not wish for a better nursery. We are so pleased with how well he has settled and we are sure that is largely due the nurturing and warm staff/environment. It really has a home from home feel. It gives us so much joy to see him smiling
when he arrives. We particularly value the communication between the staff and us parents, they take the time to inform us about how his day has been and his development. It is clear to us that all the staff (even those not directly working with him) enjoy getting to know him & genuinely care about his wellbeing and development. We also really value the home cooked food & the creative and engaging activities they do with him. The artwork he brings home each week really makes us smile!

As a mum of a toddler and twin girls (all attending House of Rompa), I couldn't be more thrilled with our choice of nursery. The nurturing environment, range of activities and personal support tailored to each individual child is testament to the hard work that goes into making everyday so enjoyable.
Our son, who is now in preschool, has developed such a strong bond with the staff and his friends. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending House of Rompa to other families (we did in fact recommend it to our friends who now have a son in tots!), as it really does go above and beyond.

I have two children currently at house of Rompa. Our eldest has been there for the last three years and is now in the preschool class. We have always been so impressed with all aspects of the Nursery from the food that they give the children to the learning that they do and the all round care. All of
the staff show a great interest in all the children and you can see they have a real passion to develop the children in all areas. Our eldest has developed so much over the 3 years during her time at the nursery and now that she is in preschool, we have seen a huge improvement in her writing, letters, numbers and other skills she'll need for school. There hasn't been a single day where she hasn't wanted to go to nursery - she loves it which is so good for us as parents. Our other daughter has just joined the nursery in January 2025 as a 9 month old and I have been really impressed with the communication and the care for her so far as she settles into her nursery life. A fantastic nursery

House of Rompa has made the transition from maternity leave to work so much easier. The staff have made my child so happy and she has developed so much since starting in September. The nursery provides her with so much professional love and support that she literally runs in there every morning. We
are beyond grateful for this nursery and the staff that work here.

My daughter has thrived at the House of Rompa developing confidence, social skills, and a love for learning. My son has settled in well in both babies and tots and loves the staff. The staff are nurturing, attentive, and create a safe, stimulating environment. The nursery's commitment to early years
development is evident in the engaging activities and strong focus on individual needs. I have complete trust in the care provided and highly recommend it to other parents. As an OT myself, I appreciate and am impressed, at the diversity of activities they offer the kids to help develop specific motor, communication and sensory skills through play and promote skills in independence and self-efficacy.
The manager has impressed us with going above and beyond to reach out to us to provide specific feedback about my daughter's achievements which is greatly appreciated. The team make an effort to celebrate each child individually for example playing my daughter's favourite music for her birthday.

We have now been at House of Rompa for 6 years as all 3 of our children have had the privilege of being able to attend the nursery. We have always been absolutely bowled over by the kindness, attentiveness and dedication from all the staff put in on a daily basis. All 3 of our children have loved every
day they have attended nursery and we have never had tears at drop off! A testament to the fantastic and always caring ladies who work there. There is always a new activity or experience that our children have come home telling us about, and the staff seem to perfectly balance a settled routine with new and exciting things for the kids to take part in. Over the years we have always recommended the nursery to others and we will continue to do so. Our 3rd child is due to finish nursery to start school this summer and there will be very bittersweet feelings for us as none of us feel ready to say goodbye. Thank you so much to all the staff at House of Rompa for their continued brilliance!

We feel so lucky that our children have attended the House of Rompa. Every member of staff works so hard to ensure the needs of each child are met. We love that because the nursery is so small, every member of staff knows the children really well and my children have always run in each morning, excited
to start their day. The staff are all very supportive and have offered guidance and advice as we have navigated parenting young children. An incredible amount of time, effort and thought goes into all of the activities and my daughter loves showing her brother, the photos of her day. When he started school, my son's teacher commented on how impressed she was with the way nursery prepared him for school and he took transition in his stride with the encouragement of his nursery friends. I have always recommended the nursery to friends and know that they too have been very impressed with the care given.

Both of my boys have attended House of Rompa since they were 9 months old and I couldn't rate the care enough. My boys run into nursery every morning. The staff are amazing and I feel they truly know and understand and cater for my children's individual needs and interests. They provide creative learning
experiences and I feel this has helped my children's development and social skills.
The boys just love it here, they have lovely relationships with their key workers have made great friends and have lots of fun! I would definitely not hesitate to recommend the nursery to the other parents.

House of Rompa have always offered outstanding care and support for my three children. Things continue to improve with supporting children's literacy and numeracy. They actively encourage children's passions, for example they facilitated my son to 'read' (recite) a book to his younger sisters group.
They even purchased him a book for nursery and lent it out to further foster his passion.
The children happily engage and attend nursery, often coming home with lovely artefacts from their creative play.

Our Daughter started at the House of Rompa when she was 16 months old and we were slightly nervous about moving nurseries. But we really didn't need to be as it was definitely one of the best decisions we've made. She has developed wonderful relationships with both the other children and the staff working
there. So much so that if she is sometimes not feeling herself I know that she has bonds with members of staff that she can truly get comfort from and as a parent that is so reassuring to know.
It really is so impressive the activities that they get up to every week and to watch our daughter develop in her speech, drawing skills and phonics is such a joy to watch. We can only put this development down to the caring nature and patience that the staff here show week in and week out!

House of Rompa is an exceptional nursery. We got my son a place here after a really horrible previous experience. The staff were so understanding and restored my faith in nurseries! My little boy absolutely flourished at House of Rompa. He quickly became very independent and the staff really understood
his little personality. The mix between learning and fun is exactly what a nursery should be. All the staff are all 10/10, so caring and kind. The food provided was incredible also, we'd all often be jealous of what was provided that day! Couldn't recommend it anymore.

For the past six years, House of Rompa have cared for both of my daughters with such love and dedication.
We have been so happy to see our girls excited to attend nursery every morning and return in the evening to chat about their fun-filled day. And to know that they have received such delicious,
nutritious meals has been fantastic.
They have progressed so much during their time at House of Rompa, and this is due to the high-quality care they have received from the manager and her team.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful nursery to anyone.

My son started at nursery when he was 3.5 months old. Since starting he has received the most amazing care that he can be given and loves his key person. He is now getting ready to move up to tots and I know he is already building some special bonds with the staff in the next room.
The food prepared
for him is exceptional and he often comes home after eating all or seconds.
The encouragement for his language from the staff is amazing and he comes home saying new words daily.
The activities and work the staff do is amazing and I love looking through the pictures in his file and on their social media.
I can't thank the staff enough for the love and care they give my son.
I look forward to our next son starting here later next year and I would recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.

Ever since our eldest began at House of Rompa we have been made to feel like part of an extended family. The care, support, and encouragement our son has received is so clear to see and explain his love of going to nursery. Not to mention the fantastic food he devours and the varied daily activities
he can't wait to tell us about. As our youngest now begins the journey into her nursery life we have already been shown the same level of care and support. The House of Rompa team always goes above and beyond and we couldn't have wished for a more caring, professional, and passionate team to look after our children.

Both of my children have had an absolutely amazing time at House of Rompa. They have always been so happy to go to nursery, and that is a testament to the staff who are all so kind and caring. Over the past 6 years, the core staff have been the same which says a lot about the organisation.
The facilities
are fantastic, the learning activities are varied and appropriately pitched, and the range of resources is excellent.
The food offered is outstanding, both in terms of nutrition and variety. My children are both fussy eaters, and they ate everything at nursery, always!
The nursery is always pristinely clean, and communication between nursery and home is excellent. Overall, the nursery is great value for money.
As a parent, I feel quite emotional that today is the last time we will pick up a child from nursery after 6 years of drop-offs and pick-ups!

House of Rompa has been an extension of our family for the past two years. Having moved to the area, we know no one, the staff became our new 'safe space' where I felt at ease leaving my child every day. The love they have for the children is evident not only through daily routines and expectations
but also through the rate at which the children develop. My daughter has thrived within this setting. She is thrilled to come home each night to show her latest makes/classwork/baking. We have been blessed to have had such a wonderful nursery experience.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.965) out of 10 for House of Rompa Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 41 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 41 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.965 for House of Rompa Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (475 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 492 Ratings = 4.965
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for House of Rompa Day Nursery is based on 41 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 number of registered child places is 8, which has been reached with 41 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

I began my childcare career back in 2005, working in a nursery as a Qualified Early Years Educator. After working extremely hard, I was promoted to nursery manager and over the past 21 years, my passion and love for my job have grown too. I joined the House of Rompa in January 2024, and I am thoroughly enjoying my time here. As well as managing a nursery to the best of my abilities, the welfare and education of the children are paramount to me, ensuring that each one of them is given the best start in not just their education, but in their lives too. This was seen in our latest Ofsted report in January 2025, and I am so pleased to say that we are ‘OUTSTANDING!’ A huge achievement in my childcare career was being one of six finalists in the county to be nominated for Nursery Manager of the Year 2021. I have always said, it’s so heart-warming to know that the emphasis I place on ensuring the children are cared for, thrive in their environment, become confident individuals, learn to the best of their abilities, are taught through the best practice and by also making sure that each and every one of them is ready for their next adventure at school is recognised by others; this will always be imperative to me.
