S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery

Absolutely love the whole team at Hooton Nursery, my daughter has been with them since she was a baby and now she turns 2 shortly and I have nothing but praise for every staff member who has worked with her. Everyone is so friendly and positive and it puts me at complete ease when I drop my daughter off and I see how happy she is to see all her friends again (staff included!). I also love just chatting with the staff and hearing how proud they are of my child and the other children too, it highlights to me how passionate they are about their roles and that's truly special. There's always such a happy, relaxed atmosphere even at the busiest of times and I am always so impressed when my child comes home with new songs learned, stories of her day and even dances. I see firsthand all the learning she is doing whilst there and it is an absolute joy, thank you to the team for all their hard work and positivity.

My child has been going to the nursery for almost two years. My child really enjoys going and has a fantastic relationship with all staff members. My child eats loads and always comes home clean and tidy. I have never had any issues or concerns regarding my child’s well-being whilst he is in the care of the nursery staff.

My daughter has been going to S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery since she was 1. She’s now 2.5 years old and couldn’t be more excited to get there each morning! She’s moved through three rooms so far and we have both loved each and every one of them. As she attends nursery five days per week it was essential that we got the right ‘feel’ for the nursery we chose. From the nurturing ‘home from home’ baby room to the more adventurous toddler room we couldn’t be happier with Hooton! All of the staff are attentive and I can tell that my daughter knows them and trusts them. She is more than happy to walk in herself each morning (she doesn’t even say goodbye anymore!) and never wants to leave when I pick her up. They also offer lots of different activities inside and outside and my daughter is always mucky when she comes home which I see as a sign of a good day! We also get regular updates on their new app which include photos of what she is up to. Overall we can’t fault Hooton, book a visit and see it for yourself!

My daughter loves going here, always happy when she goes in the morning. The app is also great with updates during the day of my child's activities. My daughter has also bonded very well with her key worker.

My little boy has been at S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery for one year now. He started at 10 months old in the baby room and is currently in tweenies. He has come on leaps and bounds since he started. He has learnt so much in such a short space of time and most pick-ups I've noticed he has learnt a new word. The girls are lovely and let me know what my little boy has been up to by sending photographs of him throughout the day. You are all great!

Feel completely reassured when leaving him there.

The management is rude, they don’t explain their costs upfront clearly. Be careful if you are using this nursery for two-year-old funding, they charge nearly £10 per day for a two-year-old lunch. When I have queried this they finally agreed I can take a packed lunch, however, they will still charge the fee for crafts and other items. The lady who is the face of the nursery in the office is absolutely lovely and has been there a long time, really nice person. My son only lasted there 6 weeks when all of this came to light, I had unfortunately also had to raise twice with staff upon collection as my son's nappy was dirty and full and had not been changed, when you have to provide the nappies and wipes I can’t see any excuse. Be aware!

S4YC at Hooton is a lovely welcoming setting. All the staff are so caring, my little girl settled in well and always loves telling me about her day and how much fun she's had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery, and I've got nothing but good things to say.

We are really happy with the nursery and they have settled my daughter in beautifully. She always comes home happy and seems to have had a lovely time. I think communication could be slightly better as I would love to have updates on how she is doing throughout the day hopefully this will happen soon. Other than that we are very happy.

Excellent nursery, very friendly and welcoming and tailored and children's individual needs. The staff have encouraged social development in my son and supported him as he has progressed to the next room and developmental stage.

Hooton Childcare have been outstanding in their service. Detailed events for the children, plenty of activities (indoor and outdoor). Really helpful and supportive when needed. The staff in each age group have really excelled in helping the children's development. Any questions or problems then the staff are on hand to assist.

Caring, happy nursery in a lovely setting which my little girl is thriving in. Both myself and my daughter have good relationships with her carers and the wider team. Her carers are mature and professional, the owners are visible and approachable, and overall they are very proactive in the care and support they offer.

My little girl joined Hooton a year ago and absolutely loves it. The nursery has been making great improvements and it really shows throughout. So glad we chose this nursery after our last one closed. Would definitely recommend to others.

Hooton is an excellent family run nursery. The staff are so friendly and very informative with regards to your child. The environment is like home from home and it makes your child feel safe and happy to play, learn new things and generally enjoy their time there.

I can't recommend Hooton Childcare highly enough. It has a really friendly, homely feel. All meals are home cooked and nappies are included in the price. They offer flexible care which is invaluable to us and isn't offered at many nurseries - you have to give the hours you want in advance but the day and whether you want AM, PM or a whole day can change week by week. The children always seem to be really happy and there are planned activities which keep them engaged and having fun whilst learning. The staff are fantastic, they get to know each child individually and always appear to be genuinely pleased to see everyone. Many of the staff have worked there for years, so there is continuity of care and there is a really low staff turnover which I think speaks volumes. Well worth a visit at if you're looking for childcare for your little ones.

The managers are very visible about the nursery and the children are very fond of them.

Although the prices of this nursery are higher than others, I believe you get what you pay for and so far the love and care they provide my daughter with shows!
