S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery is set in a converted Victorian farmhouse that provides an excellent interior and surroundings for children to learn and play together and independently.

The nursery aims to offer a home-from-home environment that stimulates learning potential and creates an atmosphere where every child feels secure, valued and confident.

A huge south-facing rear garden and ample parking make up the grounds, while the nursery's owners are very security conscious, with CCTV and a door entry system.

Children are cared for by experienced long-serving professionals, giving parents further peace of mind.

My child has been attending Hooton childcare since March 2025 in the toddler room. The staff were so welcoming and warm when we attended our look around and understood when my child was a little bit nervous to be somewhere new. They also helped me to understand the signing up process and all the adult
in-betweens which I truly appreciated as a clueless first timer. The ladies who look after this room are fantastic. They are attentive and supportive to the children. They've helped guide through potty training with us, build confidence and socialising massively since the beginning. My child has come a long way in the 8 months they've been attending and I am grateful for their aid. It's always nice to have a little natter at pick up time to find out what they have been up to, and a friendly catch up week upon week. I will be sad to say bye to Hooton for a school environment but I would happily recommend their services to any upcoming parents who are looking for a welcoming nursery.

Our baby started nursery earlier in the year & we couldn't be happier with the transition. It's hard to go back to work after your 1st baby but the staff here have made it so much easier for not only our daughter but for us as parents, they keep in contact & send updates when needed. Thank you to everyone
there for all their hard work, the place has had a revamp too which is looking fab!

Our little boy has been at Hooton Day Nursery since 2023 and he has moved up through Tweenies, Toddlers and Preschool where he currently sits as he prepares for Primary School in September 2026.


Jo and her team are the very best at what they do. Jo manages her team well and with 20+ years of experience

her care and devotion to the children and parents alike shines through.


The staff are always welcoming and care for the children in their charge. Our little boy has grown to be a very confident, smart funny little individual which has been nurtured and encouraged by the staff every day.


I always feel safe and confident that when I drop off I'm leaving my child in the very best hands and look forward to hearing all about their day.


Their use of he dojo app has been a great benefit as it keeps parents updated through the day and we look forward to updates and ohotos.

Our daughter loves coming to nursery. The girls are always so welcoming to her and settle her straight away! We have updates throughout the day which i personally love and when she first started this was something that helped me feel reassured in those earlier days. Shes come on leaps and bounds thanks
to the staff, from babies through to toddlers where she is now we've had nothing but an amazing experience. We love seeing her out in the garden and are so grateful for the big open space you have there. Would recommend hooton nursery to others!

Our daughter has been with Hooton Day Nursery since September 2023, from 11 months old, and attends twice a week and looks forward to going each time. Every drop off and pick up we are welcomed by friendly staff who are all so personable which is lovely! Communication is excellent and we are always
informed about how she's gotten on throughout the day. Receiving images on the app during the day with what she is up to is just lovely and gives reassurance that she's having a good time. Overall, we are so glad we picked this nursery for our daughter and wouldn't put her anywhere else. When we were viewing various nurseries, I loved how this one had a homely feel and instantly got a good feeling when we walked in. Her development has come on well and we can tell how comfortable and confident she is when we drop her off.
We looking forward to seeing her transition through each room as she gets older.

My son has been attending S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery since he was 7 months old. I can’t fault all the girls here, they know my son inside out now. I wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else - the bond he has with the girls is great. Each room he has been in has been fantastic, he’s been welcomed and always
had a smooth transition. The staff give us a handover at the end of the day to what he has been up to and what he’s eaten. I enjoy receiving photos on the app throughout the day too.

Hooton Day Nursery is outstanding. Our little boy has been going since he was 11 months old, and he loves it. He’s now in the preschool room, and he comes home and tells us how much fun he’s had, about new activities he’s been up to and the friends he’s been playing with. All of the staff are lovely,
and he has been able to make special bonds with his key workers in each setting he’s been in. The one thing I thought the nursery was lacking was communication and daily updates (although you’d always get a handover on pick up); however, they have now introduced an app which has solved this issue, and I can now look forward to updates whilst he’s there. I would highly recommend the nursery.

Our daughter attends nursery once a week, and every week, we are welcomed by friendly staff, who are lovely with my little girl. They are very patient with both our little one and us, and we get a full rundown of her day at the end of every session. We wouldn’t want to take our daughter elsewhere! She
has come on so much, and you can see how much support she has from her nursery teachers, and they are always so proud to tell us how she’s got on! Whenever we are told about what she’s eaten that day, we are always happy with the choices.

My son joined Hooton Nursery beginning of January and it has been the best decision ever! He has settled in so well, you would think he has been there forever. The staff are outstanding! They are so welcoming, friendly, caring and you can see how passionate they are about their job and the children.
I will be highly recommending Hooton Nursery to everyone I know.

My little boy loves going to the Hooton Day Nursery! The staff are amazing with him and he goes in smiling and comes home smiling. I also love that we also get updated with photos on the app throughout the day. They treat my little boy like he is their own and it’s great peace of mind! Huge shout out

Absolutely love the whole team at Hooton Nursery, my daughter has been with them since she was a baby and now she turns 2 shortly and I have nothing but praise for every staff member who has worked with her. Everyone is so friendly and positive and it puts me at complete ease when I drop my daughter
off and I see how happy she is to see all her friends again (staff included!). I also love just chatting with the staff and hearing how proud they are of my child and the other children too, it highlights to me how passionate they are about their roles and that's truly special. There's always such a happy, relaxed atmosphere even at the busiest of times and I am always so impressed when my child comes home with new songs learned, stories of her day and even dances. I see firsthand all the learning she is doing whilst there and it is an absolute joy, thank you to the team for all their hard work and positivity.

My child has been going to the nursery for almost two years. My child really enjoys going and has a fantastic relationship with all staff members. My child eats loads and always comes home clean and tidy. I have never had any issues or concerns regarding my child’s well-being whilst he is in the care

My daughter has been going to S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery since she was 1. She’s now 2.5 years old and couldn’t be more excited to get there each morning! She’s moved through three rooms so far and we have both loved each and every one of them. As she attends nursery five days per week it was essential
that we got the right ‘feel’ for the nursery we chose. From the nurturing ‘home from home’ baby room to the more adventurous toddler room we couldn’t be happier with Hooton! All of the staff are attentive and I can tell that my daughter knows them and trusts them. She is more than happy to walk in herself each morning (she doesn’t even say goodbye anymore!) and never wants to leave when I pick her up. They also offer lots of different activities inside and outside and my daughter is always mucky when she comes home which I see as a sign of a good day! We also get regular updates on their new app which include photos of what she is up to. Overall we can’t fault Hooton, book a visit and see it for yourself!

My little boy has been at S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery for one year now. He started at 10 months old in the baby room and is currently in tweenies. He has come on leaps and bounds since he started. He has learnt so much in such a short space of time and most pick-ups I've noticed he has learnt a new word.
The girls are lovely and let me know what my little boy has been up to by sending photographs of him throughout the day. You are all great!

My little boy has been coming here since he was one, he’s now two and a half and I can’t recommend S4YC @ Hooton Day Nursery enough! He has come on so much since being here. All the staff are super friendly and helpful.

This nursery has totally gone downhill since it’s changed hands. The previous owners were absolutely lovely and the whole place was always filled with joy!
Since it’s changed hands, it’s run like a business and not a warm comforting nursery.
The management is rude, they don’t explain their costs
upfront clearly. Be careful if you are using this nursery for two-year-old funding, they charge nearly £10 per day for a two-year-old lunch. When I have queried this they finally agreed I can take a packed lunch, however, they will still charge the fee for crafts and other items. The lady who is the face of the nursery in the office is absolutely lovely and has been there a long time, really nice person. My son only lasted there 6 weeks when all of this came to light, I had unfortunately also had to raise twice with staff upon collection as my son's nappy was dirty and full and had not been changed, when you have to provide the nappies and wipes I can’t see any excuse. Be aware!

S4YC at Hooton is a lovely welcoming setting. All the staff are so caring, my little girl settled in well and always loves telling me about her day and how much fun she's had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery, and I've got nothing but good things to say.

We are really happy with the nursery and they have settled my daughter in beautifully. She always comes home happy and seems to have had a lovely time. I think communication could be slightly better as I would love to have updates on how she is doing throughout the day hopefully this will happen soon.
