Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) offers 93 childcare places in a supportive, fun setting. The nursery is open from 8am to 6pm 51 weeks of the year except for bank holidays.

The nursery has a team of skilled, caring staff who work hard to ensure children are having lots of fun while developing new skills.      

The garden area has a soft play area along with a nature trail and gardening area where fruit and vegetables are grown.

Children are offered the same opportunities outdoors as well as indoors to ensure that they have the best possible start in the indoor/outdoor classrooms.

Healthy food is offered to children each day.

They also offer holiday club which is open from 9am-3pm Mon-Fri and children must bring a packed lunch. The cost for the day is £29. If parents would like additional hours these are charged at a rate of £7 per hour.

After looking around six different nurseries around Runcorn this is the only nursery I just got 'that feeling' for. Manager was absolutely amazing, made me feel so comfortable as I was nervous about my little girl going to nursery and answered all questions. My little girl has a speech/language delay,
I was concerned she wouldn’t be able to communicate her feelings and may find it hard to settle as she isn’t even 2, I was put at ease from the get-go and made to feel comfortable about her starting as was she. I could watch on CCTV for as long as I felt I needed before leaving and call whenever I wanted. My daughter loves going to nursery and has a great bond with all staff, we work together and communicate each visit regarding her needs, this has helped my daughter come along so much, the staff are lovely and they are very informative and caring. My daughter is predominantly here for her development/social skills, I don't regret my decision to place her in Dunkys Day Nursery. They’ve been fab! Thank you!

My daughter started here a few weeks ago and all the staff members are incredible, nothing is ever too much trouble. She is looked after and they always update me. Couldn't recommend this nursery any more.

Both my children now attend Dunkys Nursery. We moved to the area earlier this year and it was a big change for my older child, but the staff went out of their way to reassure her (and me!) every day when she came in and now she looks forward to going in! This meant when it came to the time for my youngest
to attend, I felt confident that she would be happy and settle. All the staff are lovely and really get to know the children, with lots of daily educational activities and outdoor time, when it’s weather appropriate. The staff really listen to what’s going on at home; there was lots of support from them when we first potty trained and with dropping a nap. Another thing I really appreciate about this nursery is the focus on nutrition and giving the children good food, which aligns more with what we do at home and gives the children the opportunity to understand eating healthy. Overall, so far a really positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Amazing nursery! Always ensuring they can meet most if not all wants/needs for each individual child. So homely, everyone’s very warm and welcoming.
My little boy was a bit unsure of starting nursery, however the staff in Dunkys toddler room was great with getting him settled in.
Would advise anyone
looking for a nursery to put your child into Dunkys Day Nursery. The children will also have plenty of fun whilst staff still manage to make it educational for them to be able to learn and progress.

Always amazing! Our daughter always comes home so smiley and happy and cannot wait to go in in the mornings! All the staff keep us up to date on the app regularly with feeds/nappies/naps and some pictures too!
She’s only been there a few months now but already she’s developing amazingly!

My daughter started in April after being with a childminder for nine months. The difference in the last eight weeks is unbelievable, she's settled in, no rush to be collected from the setting at home time. The staff are incredible and meet her individual needs. Always a warm welcome from staff such

Nothing but praise for Dunky's and all the staff there! Been thrilled with the nursery since my little girl started. She transitioned from babies to toddlers before Christmas and has settled really well thanks to the lovely staff in there. Love hearing about all the lovely, creative play activities
she's involved in each day and it's lovely to be kept up to date with the newsletters. I know the staff work hard to provide exciting opportunities for the children. So glad we picked Dunkys!

Really good vibe as soon as you walk into the nursery. Staff are really welcoming, caring and clearly compassionate about their jobs. Makes leaving your child a lot easier knowing they are going to be well cared for. Really accommodating when you need to change hours/days etc. Chef is also very knowledgeable
with allergies and accommodates for meal times. Good to get updates on the app about different activities your child is doing that day, what they have eaten. Every update is written to let you know exactly what the child is learning when they are completing a task. Helpful for parents to know too if they wanted to copy this at home. Rabbits outside in the garden which is also great for children to see! Very person centred care for little ones. Highly recommend.

I really don’t know where to start. I honestly cannot recommend Dunkys Day Nursery enough. After a really negative experience with our previous nursery, I was nervous and hesitant having to find a new nursery for my daughter to attend. The manager and her team put my mind at ease from the second I made
the first phone call, they are welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. They truly have the children at the heart of all they do. The food is absolutely gorgeous, each room has its own pet! The outside space is smaller than I would have liked but they really make the most of it and all of the positives very quickly put weigh that small negative. My little girl settled in there so quickly and talks about her nursery every single day. I am not the easiest customer due to needing flexible days because of my shift pattern but the manager does everything she can to accommodate my needs and I no longer have to worry about childcare. Moving my daughter to Dunkys Day Nursery was the best move for us all!

My little boy has been attending Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) since October 2022 and what made me pick this nursery was the nursery manager and all staff! It’s such a reassurance being able to check on him throughout the day via the app and whenever I pick him up, he’s full of smiles. I have full confidence
he’s being looked after and I can see he’s progressing and hitting his milestones - so thank you Dunkys for being wonderful.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 1 year old and I've had no issues whatsoever. She has grown in her personality and learned so much since being at nursery. Anytime she has had a bump I've been informed straight away, the girls are all lovely who work there and are very caring and loving
to the babies.

After trialling a few local nurseries, Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) is a cut above the rest. The staff are so friendly and approachable, my little girl loves going here. Sometimes she even picks up her nursery bag and walks to the door at home to go! The platform/app they use is so informative, I can
see hour by hour what my child has done/eaten etc. The main benefit Dunkys offered us is flexibility, as an NHS worker this is important too, it’s so hard to find childcare that doesn’t require set days.

My daughter started here at 8 months old and she’s come on leaps and bounds. She loves all staff, everyone is so friendly towards parents and the children. Always welcomed with a huge smile and the babies always smile back to the staff which is nice to see. I like how we are always updated via the app
and if there’s any problems the girls on the desk are quick to inform you! My niece and nephew attend this nursery so I knew I was sending my daughter to the right place.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Everyone goes the extra mile to help and they really make all interactions personal. You're kept updated with pictures and what the children have eaten. My son settled in so well.

I had a lot of anxiety over sending my son to nursery as he was a lockdown-born baby and had only ever been with me. But the staff at Dunkys in Runcorn has always been amazing, they take really good care of the children in their care.
They made me at ease and they keep you up to date on everything
your child has done on their day in nursery.
My son has come on in leaps and bounds, his speech has improved massively since starting in September.

My 18-month-old attends and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better nursery in the area. The manager is fantastic and so understanding and accommodating to my son's wants and needs, the girls in babies are fantastic with him and he has no issues in leaving me to spend the day at Dunkys. The food is
always varied and if he’s being fussy he is prepared an alternative meal.
The app is brilliant and I love seeing updates of what he’s up to and ate, even nappy changes it puts your mind at ease to know your baby is being cared for so well.

Both my children, ages three and one attend Dunky’s currently. They both love it and have come on leaps and bounds. It’s fantastic for us as shift workers to have a nursery that is flexible with our days, takes away all the stress of finding childcare and reduces our costs compared to other local nurseries.

Amazing nursery. My son loves going to nursery and most days doesn’t want to leave! He is currently transitioning to the next age group room and all staff have been amazing in helping him to adjust. His development and welfare are their top priority. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter attends Dunkys Day Nursery and she absolutely loves it! She has formed amazing relationships with the staff and her friends.
All staff are friendly and supportive.
My brother and cousins (who are now 17) attended this same nursery and loved it.
My daughter is such a fussy eater and
the staff have helped so much to help her try new things! (Love the regular recipes that are posted by the chef).
They do so much with the children and take trips out to the local park, I feel my daughter is safe and receiving a high level of care.

She has the following City & Guilds catering qualifications. They are 705 1 & 2, 706 1 & 2, 707 1 & 2. Nwrac advanced patisserie work and pastry. Julie also has level 5 food hygiene and safety.


Julie is also our Health & Safety Coordinator at the nursery.
