Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn)

Absolutely lovely nursery. We’re so happy with how well our baby has settled in. I was absolutely dreading him going to nursery and I’ve definitely found it more of a struggle than he has! He is usually glued to me and I worried about how nursery would handle this as I didn’t want him upset all the time but they give so much love that after only a few weeks he was waving as he left us. Couldn’t thank Dunkys Day Nursery enough.

My son just started this year. Finding a good nursery is so hard and I was nervous for first day but the personnel are really excellent with children. I can say that I am happy that I find them. Everyone is brilliant and my son now loves going there. I recommend this nursery.

My daughter went to Dunkys Day Nursery in Weston Point approximately nine years ago and she still, to this day, talks about it. She grew so much in confidence and learnt so much! My son has just started there and he absolutely loves the baby room. The staff are so professional, attentive and caring and I love the app that keeps me informed of how he’s doing throughout the day, along with the bonus of some pictures.

All staff are lovely, with a friendly administration staff and onsite chef who caters amazingly to our daughter's milk allergy.

I have two children who have started in February in baby and toddler room and there is good communication and updates via the app about all aspects of the day. Friendly staff who helped to reassure and make the transition easy.

Everyone at this nursery is amazing! So welcoming and reassuring. That first week is so nerve-wracking in many ways, everyone, the manager in particular - made everything so smooth. The constant updates on the app and being able to call and not feel like you were bothering anyone! I am so happy but more in particular my little girl is!

Really an outstanding place. The staff are friendly and great with the kids. The nursery really helps with the development of the children. They are also great for catering to allergies such as milk. My baby started at 6 weeks old and has been having the time of her life. Can highly recommend.

Having been anxious about going back to work and my daughter going to nursery 4 days a week, I can honestly say now that I had nothing to worry about. All staff members are absolutely amazing, so welcoming and genuinely invested in the happiness and development of each child. My partner and I are so impressed with the facilities and can't wait to see how our little girl progresses!

Amazing experience with Dunky’s Day Nursery. I was nervous about putting my little girl in nursery after my maternity. However, the staff made me feel so much better after our first visit. Our baby loves her days in nursery!

After looking around six different nurseries around Runcorn this is the only nursery I just got 'that feeling' for. Manager was absolutely amazing, made me feel so comfortable as I was nervous about my little girl going to nursery and answered all questions. My little girl has a speech/language delay, I was concerned she wouldn’t be able to communicate her feelings and may find it hard to settle as she isn’t even 2, I was put at ease from the get-go and made to feel comfortable about her starting as was she. I could watch on CCTV for as long as I felt I needed before leaving and call whenever I wanted. My daughter loves going to nursery and has a great bond with all staff, we work together and communicate each visit regarding her needs, this has helped my daughter come along so much, the staff are lovely and they are very informative and caring. My daughter is predominantly here for her development/social skills, I don't regret my decision to place her in Dunkys Day Nursery. They’ve been fab! Thank you!

My daughter started here a few weeks ago and all the staff members are incredible, nothing is ever too much trouble. She is looked after and they always update me. Couldn't recommend this nursery any more.

Both my children now attend Dunkys Nursery. We moved to the area earlier this year and it was a big change for my older child, but the staff went out of their way to reassure her (and me!) every day when she came in and now she looks forward to going in! This meant when it came to the time for my youngest to attend, I felt confident that she would be happy and settle. All the staff are lovely and really get to know the children, with lots of daily educational activities and outdoor time, when it’s weather appropriate. The staff really listen to what’s going on at home; there was lots of support from them when we first potty trained and with dropping a nap. Another thing I really appreciate about this nursery is the focus on nutrition and giving the children good food, which aligns more with what we do at home and gives the children the opportunity to understand eating healthy. Overall, so far a really positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Would advise anyone looking for a nursery to put your child into Dunkys Day Nursery. The children will also have plenty of fun whilst staff still manage to make it educational for them to be able to learn and progress.

She’s only been there a few months now but already she’s developing amazingly!

My daughter started in April after being with a childminder for nine months. The difference in the last eight weeks is unbelievable, she's settled in, no rush to be collected from the setting at home time. The staff are incredible and meet her individual needs. Always a warm welcome from staff such a lovely environment overall by far the best choice we've made.

Nothing but praise for Dunky's and all the staff there! Been thrilled with the nursery since my little girl started. She transitioned from babies to toddlers before Christmas and has settled really well thanks to the lovely staff in there. Love hearing about all the lovely, creative play activities she's involved in each day and it's lovely to be kept up to date with the newsletters. I know the staff work hard to provide exciting opportunities for the children. So glad we picked Dunkys!

Really good vibe as soon as you walk into the nursery. Staff are really welcoming, caring and clearly compassionate about their jobs. Makes leaving your child a lot easier knowing they are going to be well cared for. Really accommodating when you need to change hours/days etc. Chef is also very knowledgeable with allergies and accommodates for meal times. Good to get updates on the app about different activities your child is doing that day, what they have eaten. Every update is written to let you know exactly what the child is learning when they are completing a task. Helpful for parents to know too if they wanted to copy this at home. Rabbits outside in the garden which is also great for children to see! Very person centred care for little ones. Highly recommend.

I really don’t know where to start. I honestly cannot recommend Dunkys Day Nursery enough. After a really negative experience with our previous nursery, I was nervous and hesitant having to find a new nursery for my daughter to attend. The manager and her team put my mind at ease from the second I made the first phone call, they are welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. They truly have the children at the heart of all they do. The food is absolutely gorgeous, each room has its own pet! The outside space is smaller than I would have liked but they really make the most of it and all of the positives very quickly put weigh that small negative. My little girl settled in there so quickly and talks about her nursery every single day. I am not the easiest customer due to needing flexible days because of my shift pattern but the manager does everything she can to accommodate my needs and I no longer have to worry about childcare. Moving my daughter to Dunkys Day Nursery was the best move for us all!

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 1 year old and I've had no issues whatsoever. She has grown in her personality and learned so much since being at nursery. Anytime she has had a bump I've been informed straight away, the girls are all lovely who work there and are very caring and loving to the babies.

My little boy has been attending Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) since October 2022 and what made me pick this nursery was the nursery manager and all staff! It’s such a reassurance being able to check on him throughout the day via the app and whenever I pick him up, he’s full of smiles. I have full confidence he’s being looked after and I can see he’s progressing and hitting his milestones - so thank you Dunkys for being wonderful.
