Partou Butterflies Day Nursery & Pre-school is a beautiful learning environment set within a converted Victorian property. The setting provides exceptional care and education for children aged 0 - 5.

Following an extensive refurbishment in 2018, the nursery in Prenton boasts an impressive selection of rooms for different areas of learning development. Children at the nursery have access to a Sensory Room, a special Exploration Room, a Dance Classroom, a cooking area and a range of special areas for ICT, literacy, and creative activities.

The nursery has two exciting outdoor areas with plenty of space for children to run around, play and explore. The grassy gardens include a giant pirate ship, planting patches, a mud kitchen, dens and natural areas where children can enjoy the local wildlife. There is also a sheltered part to the outdoor area, which allows children to play outside whatever the weather.

Butterflies' highly-qualified team prepare children for primary school using Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. The nursery's educators put a strong emphasis on learning through play and tailor activities to children's individual interests and needs. Staff have paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and all have undergone enhanced DBS checks.

Children at the nursery enjoy a varied seasonal menu filled with fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables – which can be altered to suit any special dietary requirements. All food is freshly prepared onsite each day.

Butterflies Day Nursery is an excellent nursery which I would highly recommend. The staff go above and beyond on a daily basis ensuring the children gain a high-quality education but beyond all else are happy in the setting.
My little girl thoroughly enjoys going to nursery and would go every day
of the week if she could, down to the outstanding staff who are currently at the setting.
My only negative is communication from senior management. It pretty much seems non-existent and trying to get information is sometimes like trying to get blood out of a stone. Let's hope nursery manager number four is an improvement, same goes for Area Management, pretty much 0 communication.
Huge appreciation goes to three members of staff who have been such a positive influence in the nursery since day one and the reason the preschool room is at the high standard it currently is.

Both of my older children have attended Butterflies, the eldest has just left and the middle has been there since she was 11 months old. The care provided by the team is fantastic, we chose the nursery as it felt cosy and homelike, and not like some of the bigger chain nurseries which can seem quite
cold and impersonal.
The staff form such lovely relationships with all of the children and genuinely care about them. We are planning on sending our new baby to Butterflies when I return to work as we have complete confidence in them and couldn't imagine sending them to another nursery!

Both our children started over two years ago. Like most parents, we were nervous sending them to nursery at such a young age, but the staff and management there are amazing and made us feel so welcome. The kids love it there and we can go to work knowing there are safe and well. The kids know all the
staff and love them (especially one staff member in particular). They eat all the food, unlike at home and wow, the garden is massive, ideal for little people to run around. Great work, girls, keep up the good work.

Moved our daughter here as we were relocating, couldn’t have the usual settling in due to covid but the staff have been brilliant, she LOVES going to nursery and I feel like they know her really well and look after her with such care. She goes off inside with a brief wave to me, it’s priceless to have
somewhere like this so you can go to work know your kids are safe, happy and cared for. The garden is lovely and they do some great activities with them. She eats all the food they cook which always sounds delicious when they tell me what she’s had!

Both of my children have attended this nursery. The staff are absolutely brilliant, they are more like family. The staff are consistent, they always go above and beyond for the children.
Nothing is too difficult even with Halloween requests in January from my son.
The menu is amazing, always home-cooked,
proper meals and always changing. Prices are very reasonable and everything is included (nappies, sun cream, baby milk).
The outdoor play areas are amazing, inside is just as good, my son loved the sensory room.
I'll be sad when my son no longer attends since we have been a part of Butterflies for over 4 years.

Our child has been here now for 1.5 years and I can’t praise the nursery enough. The staff are so friendly and have handled all the recent changes due to covid amazingly. Our little boy comes home from his days at Butterflies so happy. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has attended Butterflies since he was 9 months old and I couldn’t ask for a better nursery for him to attend. I was very apprehensive about going back to work and I was adamant to find the best possible early years setting for my son to attend. My son absolutely loves coming to nursery. His development
has come on leaps and bounds since attending nursery and I believe this is due to the carefully planned learning opportunities by the lovely hardworking, passionate and devoted staff members. I love seeing the bond he has formed with his key person and all the adults that look after him. I feel so reassured leaving my son in the capable hands of the Butterflies staff and I can’t thank them all enough for what they have done and continue to do for my son!

My little girl loves going to nursery. My main priority when looking for a nursery was that my child would feel loved and cared for. I couldn’t be happier with how much the staff care for and encourage my child to grow. She is given engaging activities daily and we are kept up to date through Facebook
and the online learning book. We couldn’t recommend Butterflies enough.

I have found the management very friendly, easy to contact and always trying to please our needs. The nursery nurse staff are brilliant and my little boy loves nursery. Especially through the tough time of covid I have found their communication excellent.

My daughter started in Butterflies in July this year, I had viewed many different nurseries prior to this and have to say we definitely made the right choice! Our little girl loves nursery and always enters with a huge smile on her face. The difference in her development since joining has been massive.

Wow, what a magical place this is! My daughter attends this nursery 4 full days per week and has done for nearly the past year now. Both her and I love it here. The staff are all just incredible they make you feel like part of a big family. There isn't an issue too big for them to assist you with, they
are always going above and beyond. My daughter has had ongoing medical issues and they have been brilliant ensuring her medication is always given correctly and on time. They have really put my mind at ease in making sure I know she is well looked after.
The learning log, where you receive updates with photos or videos telling you what they have been up to/what they have learnt. I especially love this.
The nursery is always of a very high cleanliness standard and the procedures put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic have been exceptional.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their child to feel part of a family.

I have complete trust and faith in the nursery. The team are amazing at their jobs and make me feel comfortable leaving my girls with them. My girls are both a little clingy and often cry when dropping them off but I never worry because I know they’re in safe hands. The girls have developed so much
since starting nursery their speech has improved and they’re learning so much. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough the girls always talk about ‘school’ and especially always talking about a member of staff, in particular, saying they want to see her and play.

My daughter has been going to Butterflies since she was 9 months old and has always loved going in shouting for her Key Workers and her friends. The nursery caters well to her food allergy as well as her medical conditions and I cannot fault the communication between nursery and home if there are any
problems. We are always kept up to date with meals, sleeps and daily activities and my daughter loves to come home and tell me about her day and singing the songs she has learnt. Toddlers staff have been very supportive with toilet training which was a worry of ours and made the transition so much easier. All the staff we have encountered as our daughter has grown through the different rooms have been so supportive and she has taken well to all staff. The manager and her team are a credit to Just Childcare, I couldn't imagine myself feeling as comfortable leaving her in another nursery. I would definitely recommend the nursery to parents looking for a potential nursery.

My oldest daughter started at Butterflies a few years ago and since then has moved on to preschool at our local primary school, my youngest daughter now attends Butterflies nursery and I can’t describe how good this nursery is. My oldest daughter was very shy and found interacting with children difficult,
this completely changed after a few weeks at Butterflies. All of the staff are amazing and my daughter still talks about the staff even though she hasn’t attended for nearly 8 months. My youngest daughter loves this nursery all of the staff make such a fuss of the children and promote their independence massively. I can’t recommend this nursery any more.

My son has attended Butterflies in Oxton since he was 9 months old in the Tinie room. We love it here. He's grown a strong bond with all members of staff and has no problem going in each day. Leaving him at Butterflies is like leaving him with family. I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

Staff and managers are fantastic. Rooms are large and spacious. Amazing outside space, front and back. Have a sensory room in the basement. Staff go above and beyond. We feel very lucky that our child attends this setting. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

Wonderful nursery. All the staff are lovely and friendly. My son loves all the staff and enjoys his days in nursery. He enjoys all the activities they do and loves to play in their beautiful gardens. The food is to a very good standard too and the place is spotless. I recommend Butterflies 100%.
