Kids Planet Southport is situated in a residential area close to Southport town centre and caters for babies though to pre-school.

Working in partnership with parents and carers the nursery aim to mirror the care that your child receives at home which provides continuity at the nursery.

The nursery has large, bright and colourful rooms, with each room designed to meet the needs of the child at their specific development stage.

It also benefits from two large secluded gardens, both of which are specifically designed for children and their early development.

My little girl is in Rising Threes. We moved her from a nursery in Leyland to here when she was 2. Since the minute she arrived the staff have been nothing but amazing! They absolutely adore her and know her inside out so I know when I drop her off she's in safe hands. The communication is excellent
and they are always so patient when I need to ask questions. They provide so many activities for the children, my little girl is never bored! The app is also a fantastic way to see what she has been up to and they do this often! The building is very clean and well presented. The food is great but our favourite thing is the staff! They are just brilliant. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son attends the tot's room, and we couldn't be happier with the service they provide.
All staff go above and beyond to ensure that he is healthy and happy, going out of their way to meet his medical needs and provide extra care when he is ill.
My son has a great relationship with all the staff
in his room but particularly loves his key worker and frequently chants her name in excitement prior to going in. We appreciate how much she seems to genuinely care about him, and we feel very lucky to have her in our son's life.
The staff make sure he has lots of different activities to engage in each day, and he seems to be learning more and more as time goes on.
We love seeing everything he gets up to on the app.

Both of my children attend this nursery and I am consistently impressed with the high level of care my children receive. This is consistent throughout all rooms, varying at different ages. My children are extremely happy to attend, every day of the week. I think this says a lot! Activities are planned
weekly across all rooms and these themes and activities are initiative and very well thought out. All staff are approachable and extremely great at what they do. Thanks for everything you do and have done!

The staff are brilliant and always have time to tell me what she has been up to. I feel that my little one is in safe and caring hands, and she loves nursery. It’s lovely to get the updates on the app to see what she has been doing, what meals she has had and see photos of her having a great time throughout

This nursery is amazing. It was my son's last day today. Feeling very emotional. The staff really are fantastic and professional. I fully trust them with my son. They helped him so much with his speech. He's come on so much. He comes home every day with a big smile on his face. All staff have been amazing
with certain staff members going above and beyond building a close relationship with me and my son. I would recommend this nursery. Management very good too. Thank you all.

Our daughter loves nursery and is happy and settled. The staff are all lovely and always make time to chat at hometime about my daughter's day. They have themed activities and focus weeks for the children and clearly a lot of thought goes into making them fun, interesting and relevant. I get regular
updates on my daughter's progress and lots of pictures throughout the day showing what she is doing.

Yarrow House has been great with my son, his speech has really come on and he loves going there. All the staff are friendly and really care about your child and take the time to help them learn. The app is constantly updated which allows us to see how he is getting on.

Great nursery, friendly staff. Brilliant outdoor space for the kids. Put your mind at rest when at work. The app may not work all the time but great tool for seeing what your child had been up to on a daily basis.

All of the staff have been very welcoming and supportive of my child. They are always happy to accept phone calls if feeling worried that he isn’t settling. He always gets upset with the drop off process especially with the coronavirus set up but staff are always very reassuring with him. I feel
like he has progressed a lot by being there and he always seems to have done a lot in a day. Thank you.

Overall we have a positive experience with the nursery and the staff are so helpful and caring towards the children. The covid rules have made things more challenging in terms of drop off and collection - I do feel children are more unsettled with having to wait outside (often stood in the rain) and
then handover to the staff is a lot more rushed. Also, the collection is a lot of waiting outside for parents before they bring children out - I understand that the safety of all staff and children from covid is a priority but I do feel there could be some improvements to help make this experience smoother all round.
The app the nursery uses is fantastic to allow parents to know what is going on throughout the day and to see updates. However recently the pushing of notifications to parents is dreadful - often not getting any updates until the next day when the child isn’t even in nursery. This is distressing when knowing my child has gone in upset to not hear anything for so long.

The staff are welcoming. When I pick my daughter up from nursery she is happy, she loves going there. She has a lot of fun when she goes. It makes me feel happy as she is happy to go. The staff tell me what she has done in a day at nursery, how she has been and has she been for a sleep. She has settled

My little girl has been going to Kids Planet since she was 10 months old. From the moment I looked around the nursery, I immediately felt like it was organised, safe, clean, well resourced and above all, the staff were lovely. My little girl absolutely loves coming to nursery. She adores her key worker
and I get regular updates via the app which is great. I’d recommend this nursery to anyone!

My daughter enjoys going to pre-school at Yarrow House Southport. She is always excited to go and is happy when she is picked up and always has lots to say about what she’s been up to during the day! Having only been at the nursery since July she appears to have a good relationship with her key worker
and has made some friends. All the staff are very pleasant and the staff in the office always reply to any questions etc in a very timely manner and are always happy to help.

I've been so happy with Kids Planet Southport since my little boy started there end of 2019. Sending my son back to Tots in Aug after national lock-down I'd a lot of anxiety for his well being but it's given me peace of mind seeing all of the provisions they have in place to safeguard the children
and those that care for them every day. The drop-off and pickups are more restricted but were well managed when we sent him back. My son still comes home happy and looks forward to going back next the day. He is developing well and I can see he's learning new things. The app has been amazing too, I can see images of my child throughout the day, and receive updates on his activities and learning milestones and know he's ok. This was even more important in Aug when I sent him back after lock-down and found there was an extra effort added to these updates which really meant a lot, thank you for keeping my son safe, and giving me peace of mind, now more than ever.

I would highly recommend this nursery, the staff have always been amazing and my daughter has always been delighted to attend. She has suffered with severe allergies to milk and egg and they have always gone above and beyond with her care. I have always felt safe leaving her in their care. They also
keep us regularly updated by phone or via the app, it's really nice to get photos during her day to see how she is doing. She has gone through every room from baby to preschool and I can honestly say every room has been great.

I have worked in early years for the past 13 years, the last 5 years being at our Kids Planet Southport Nursery as the Early Years Teacher with a BA HONS in children, young people’s learning and development and a BA Hons Degree in Early Years with QTS. Laura is also Level 3 SENDCO trained.
