The staff all seem lovely and my daughter has settled in really well. She always seems happy going to nursery and seeing the staff, especially her key worker. Whenever I collect her the room seems calm and a nice atmosphere to walk in to. I would like more updates and feedback regarding her day.
Sometimes there is pictures but often when I ask what she has done today, it'll be a one word answer or something generic. I'd like a run down of what she is doing for nearly 10 hours when I am not there. This also worries me as I would like to know she is spending time outside etc but it is never documented, her previous nursery she spent time outdoors every day. The food menu is also not very nutritious or varied, almost every day she has cheese & tomato pizza or cheesy beans / chips , this is not food I would be giving her at home and I very rarely see a vegetable noted on the app. I am unable to score many things on the review as there is no handover to know if she is learning.

I do feel even though the ratio of staff across the rooms does reflect the current government specification I feel with the premium fee that is paid there should be a closer ratio. I also feel the meals that are sometimes offered should be looked at, as my child does on occasions does have very low
nourished meals e.g. cheese and beans.

We have been at Kids Planet Southport for 8 years now and onto our 3rd child attending. Our son struggled to settle at first but nursery were supportive of him and me. He has just moved rooms again and has settled so quickly. Sharon now looks after him after him creating such a bond with Edyta.
Sharon is wonderful and after her looking after our other 2 children this provided us with confidence on how well he would be looked after. He loves coming to nursery and we are always kept up to date.

My daughter has attended Kids Planet since September 2025 and she absolutely loves it. The staff in her room are wonderful and have a clear love for the kids that they look after.
Communication is great from the team and overall have helped this very anxious first time mum to feel comfortable with
dropping off her child.
I would highly recommend this nursery:)

We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for our daughter! From the very beginning, all the staff have been absolutely lovely. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, and it's so clear that they truly love what they do.
The activities are amazing, there's always something creative,
educational and fun going on.
Most importantly, our daughter always comes home very happy after her nursery days. She talks excitedly about what she has done. As a parent, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing your ahold is safe, cared for and is happy. We're so grateful to the whole team and would highly recommend this nursery to any family.

My daughter enjoys Kids Planet. The staff are all lovely and we are kept well informed. The place always appears clean. We have had problems in the past with funding, but that has been sorted now. We have absolutely no issues / concerns.

My daughter has been at this nursery since January 2024 and she's absolutely loved it! All the girls are so welcoming and make my daughter's day so special when she's there. They go above and beyond and my daughter has learnt so much. I always recommend this nursery to everyone.

All three of my sons have attended here and I would recommend them to anyone. The office team are approachable and friendly. They are quick in responding effectively to any queries which is always reassuring when for example, free hours submissions (which appear daunting at first).
I find the
ladies in the rooms are warm, enthusiastic, genuine and friendly and my children have always loved them.
They are accommodating where possible, the facilities, nappy rooms and playrooms have always looked clean and the staff turnover appears low. Some of the ladies have been there for a long time which to me is a good sign.
Oh and the macaroni cheese they make there is famous. Our boys love it!

Staff are absolutely amazing. My daughter has settled in really well and they always put both myself and her at ease. Lots of photographs and updates throughout the day. I can already see how happy my daughter is here.

Staff work really hard to create a very welcoming calm space for children and adults.
They make children feel as comfortable as possible and are very reassuring to parents when leaving children for the first time.

As soon as we walked into the nursery we knew it was the one for us. All the staff we met during our show around was all polite, friendly and you could tell they loved there job.
Rueben came for 3 settling in session in August 2025 and all the staff was great with him and us!
September 2nd was
Rueben's first full day and even tho we had tears in the morning we knew he was in safe hands.
Photos where uploaded to the app which we love.
When we collected him at home time we could see how happy he was and that he had a fabulous day.
Rueben would also love to give the chef a huge high five as he loves the food at nursery.

This is such a lovely nursery. My daughter really enjoys her time here and the staff are wonderful, she seems really comfortable with them. Thanks to the team at Kids Planet for all their hard work, including Laura and Tracey in the office who are always helpful and polite.

Great experience with recently starting nursery. Feels very welcoming and supportive of my anxieties towards my child starting nursery. Great support from everyone. Beautiful presented nursery with different sensory inputs for all ages.

Good Nursery in general- My little boy is happy to go and happily walks in the room without any hesitation. As others have said, the communication is poor and needs looking into. There are never any updates regarding his day, we get the odd one about what food he's had but nothing else. It would be
good to see more pictures/updates of the things he's doing during the day. This seems to have been lacking the further up the nursery he goes. The staff are always lovely and work extremely hard. Overall a good experience so far just needs some tweaking.

I couldn't have picked a better nursery for my son! He's been since 10 months old and he is now nearly 2 and a half and thriving! He doesn't like leaving my side but runs into nursery happy, and that's because of all the hard work, compassion and dedication the staff put into their children. He's in
the 4th room now and each key worker he has had he has bonded with and loved. No matter what, we are always greeted with happy staff and I think that is so wonderful! They all seem happy to be there and happy to be around the children. I hope my son is there till graduation! The management are also super friendly and always happy to help no matter how busy they are and I call a lot! HIGHLY recommend this nursery! The best out there!

This nursery is outstanding, each person at Kids Planet are amazing, kind and friendly and I wouldn't have my son anywhere else. We love the different trips, different celebrated days like, pyjama day, Chinese new year, and a lot of the other inclusive days. My son is extremely happy going to school
to see his teachers and friends, the app is always updated so I am aware of what is going on, what he has eaten and seeing pictures of him playing. I couldn't be happier to have my son in this nursery and we will forever miss them when he moves on in September!

Iam fairly pleased with the nursery in general, my daughter has really grown confidence in the time she's been there and got to know the staff well. I do feel communication could be better in terms of what's she's eaten and drank as it's only a vague description and not a lot of variety offered.
They are Very supportive with new stages in her life for example potty training and getting rid of her dummy.
I'd say the only negative is staff not manning the door which leads to tailgating even though there is clear signage up discouraging this.

My child has attended this nursery in Southport since he was 9 months old and is in his last few months now before he starts achool in sep, he has developed so much and has loved coming here, staff are attentive and loving and will Listen to any needs and I can't fault this place at all

We sent our now 7 and 10 year old children here and our toddler is currently attending. Even 6 years later there are still so many familiar staff members, many who were key workers for our children the first time round, it's so lovely to see. We feel totally confident and secure with this nursery
and all the staff, our youngest has extensive allergies and the kitchen are absolutely fantastic at catering to his needs. I also love how everything is provided within the fees, so all I have to send is a change of clothes, it really takes the pressure off. Staff are communicative, super friendly and always professional, I would recommend Kids Planet YarrowHouse without hesitation.

My daughter started Kids Planet Southport in April 2025, they have been a 5 star service from the start! So accommodating with all my nervous parent questions and provided extra settling in sessions which really helped her transition. Since starting her full sessions she has settled so well, a
couple weeks of upset at drop offs, which is to be expected, but the past few weeks she has happily gone in with no problems. The app updates are wonderful for parents to check throughout the day and the staff are so warm and welcoming. Security at the nursery is also great! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in Southport looking for a professional and friendly nursery!
