Kids Planet Southport is situated in a residential area close to Southport town centre and caters for babies though to pre-school.

Working in partnership with parents and carers the nursery aim to mirror the care that your child receives at home which provides continuity at the nursery.

The nursery has large, bright and colourful rooms, with each room designed to meet the needs of the child at their specific development stage.

It also benefits from two large secluded gardens, both of which are specifically designed for children and their early development.

The Tots room at Kids Planet Nursery have been fantastic with my son. They are caring, compassionate and dedicated to the children and their key worker roles. My son struggled to settle when he started but a particular staff member and the team showed patience and knowledge to put my son and me at ease
and now he loves going every day. I couldn't recommend the nursery enough.

In love with this nursery my boy loves going there he literally grab his bag every time I ask him to put his shoes on thinking he's going there this is how much he enjoy his time and the staff are really good they do their best and they keep you updated with all the activities that ur child's doing
the food the nappy .. etc I do recommend this place for parents your kids are safe there and the most important thing is they get to learn and enjoy their time , kids planet is a five star nursery

Since moving to the area and bringing my son to Kids Planet, I have seen him grow and develop.


After 14 months at the nursery, my son has been located in three different different learning environments (rooms). This has allowed activities and the setting to advance with him.


The team at the nursery

have been fantastic. Not only do they have a strong enrichment environment that allows the children to learn and express themselves, but they also take on board queries and questions from parents. I have discussed current home learning my son has been involved in (colour identification or physical development). At pick-up on the following days staff have informed us how my son has done in those areas, and what they have done to encourage further development. For example, when concerned about coordination they told us they had watched him during circle time and saw him jumping well. Subtle additional actions like this show how engaged the staff our with the children.

I cannot fault this nursery and it's staff! My Son is very happy here and the care he receives is excellent.
The staff are all lovely and warming. I get detailed feedback of his days there, which puts my mind at ease.

The staff cannot do enough to support the children and parents. When going through lots of changes, the team has been really supportive of my child and accommodating to us as parents. My child has come on leaps and bounds with his development and is always so happy while he's in nursery. The environment

My son started in babies and has since moved up through tots and is about to start in toddlers room. I cannot sing the girls' praises enough for their hard work so far. My son has continued to grow so well and grows bonds well with the girls in there. I love receiving updates and I'm so happy with everything.

My daughter loves coming here. The staff are absolutely fab, they are so attentive and caring. Every room she has been in has been amazing, from staff to facilities. I have absolutely no concerns about leaving her here. By far the best nursery around.

My little boy has been going to Yarrow House Kids Planet since January 2024. He has progressed from Babies to Tots and is soon to move up again to another room. All of the staff are so caring and attentive, they know my little boy so well and he absolutely loves going to nursery. It was a hard decision
to make to put him in 3 days a week but I'm so glad we chose to as he is thriving.

The staff are fantastic, they are attentive and caring. The kids get to go out on lots of trips, which is great, they also get to play outside a lot too. The preschool could do with updating the app a little bit more. Overall, it’s a lovely nursery. My children love it here.

I couldn’t recommend Kids Planet enough. We’ve sent our daughter from 10 months- to school and our son is also attending and in Tots. Each room has been fantastic with so much stimulation and lots of trips. Very comfortable leaving them when little in Babies two particular members of staff. The key
workers are all kind and caring.
I particularly want to highlight the amazing Tot's room team. I am so comfortable leaving my son and he loves nursery. Thank you to all the staff. I would 100% recommend it for all ages.

I cannot praise this nursery highly enough, they are absolutely phenomenal. My daughter loves going to this nursery. I was very nervous about finding the right nursery for my daughter, when I first attended I knew instantly that I had found the perfect nursery. The staff go above and beyond for you
and your child, they are so attentive and caring that it really does move you. My daughter found the whole transition so easy, she adores the staff and the activities they do are amazing. Staff will update you on their needs via the app, providing constant reassurance but I know when my daughter is at nursery, that she is in the safest hands. So yes, Kids Planet Southport is the best nursery and I recommend them to all parents. Can't thank you enough for all the support you give families.

We moved our son to Kids Planet Southport from a different nursery and it was the best decision we've made. We have been so impressed by the level of professionalism and care the team has provided. Our son is extremely happy and is being given the support he needs to develop further. He has come on
leaps and bounds since he moved to this nursery. We are kept informed daily about the learning taking place via the app and this is varied each session. The environment our son learns in is bright, clean and welcoming. We're always asked how he is at drop off, you feel a genuine sense of care towards him from the staff. We 100% recommend this nursery provision.

Such a welcoming warm safe environment.

The best! I was hesitant to send my child to nursery, after a bad experience from her last nursery. As an extremely fussy and anxious parent, I wasn't sure. After I was taken round, I soon realised what a welcoming, safe environment Yarrow House is.
The staff in rising threes, are all so friendly,
welcoming, caring and are an absolute credit to the nursery. My child looks forward to nursery and is exceptionally well looked after by the staff. I know she is completely safe and enjoys her time at nursery and she has learnt so much during her time there. From learning the basics, playing games, singing, dancing, to teaching manners, Yarrow House has covered everything and more.
The staff go above and beyond, I'm forever grateful they've all attributed to my child's development. I feel reassured with the constant pictures and comments on how her learning is progressing and activities she does during the day. I will always highly recommend Yarrow House to anyone who has children!

We have two daughters, both of whom have been in nursery since they were infants. We have moved around the country a lot for work and now have experience of various different nurseries. Our youngest started in Rising 3's at Kids Planet Southport in September of this year. I can honestly say that what
we have seen so far of this room and the setting more widely suggests this is hands down the best nursery we have attended as a family. The staff in the room are unfailingly interested, caring, and attuned to the needs of each and every child individually - it's clear that the room leader leads a very happy and cooperative team. They plan and deliver a wonderful range of activities that excite the children and allow them to develop mentally, socially, and physically through play. The team deal with challenging behaviour (inevitable in this age group) seriously and responsibly, engaging parents at every stage of the process. A fabulous place, which we are delighted to have found.

I have worked in early years for the past 13 years, the last 5 years being at our Kids Planet Southport Nursery as the Early Years Teacher with a BA HONS in children, young people’s learning and development and a BA Hons Degree in Early Years with QTS. Laura is also Level 3 SENDCO trained.
