General Day Nursery

This nursery is by far the best I've had, all three of my children have been here and all three have special needs. My daughter is currently here now, the other two are in school. My daughter, I can't fault the girls who deal with her and are always there for me whenever I need them, amazing girls, amazing nursery.

This is such a lovely setting and I’m so glad I chose General Day Nursery for my boy. Being a shy child, it was obviously going to be hard for him to settle anywhere, but the staff at General Day Nursery are so kind, patient and caring that we felt welcomed immediately. When changing rooms, the staff make the transition as easy as possible for each child, tailoring the visits to suit them. They work with the children and parents to ensure they are comfortable and not distressed by the situation. Food is varied and my son eats all kinds of things at nursery, even things I wouldn’t make at home! Activities are always based around what the children enjoy and are interested in. Staff take the time to learn about each child and what they like/dislike and use this to engage them in their learning. Management and team, I cannot thank you enough for providing a safe, happy place for my precious little ones.

All three of my children attended General Day Nursery, it’s almost a home from home. The staff are caring, compassionate and helpful. I’ve always felt happy going back to work as I know my babies are in the best of care. Everything they do is focused on the children with professionalism and warmth.

I have two children here who both absolutely love it. The staff are very supportive and have good relationships with the children. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing in every possible way.

My little boy has complex health needs and the nursery didn't have an issue with this at all. They did all the relevant training and looked after him in the nursery.

The fact that the staff actually wanted to do all the relevant training, so they could look after him themselves, I thought was absolutely amazing. It shows their dedication and focus was all about all of my little boy's needs and that they looked at the whole picture.

The care is very personal, it's like a family. My little boy loved going to nursery it brought him on so much, he had so much fun and didn't like leaving at the end of the day.

I would recommend General Day Nursery to anybody and I already have my little girls name down to attend as well.

My little boy has attended General Day Nursery since he was nine months old. He's gone throughout the nursery from baby room and is now in the preschool room. He has multiple food allergies and both management, staff and the cook manage this well, and his allergies are well managed by all. This is a massive peace of mind for me, as both the manager and deputy managers are very approachable and always happy to help. He has his own menu, which the cook and managers put together for him, which is nutritional, healthy and is allergen free for him. His development has come on massively throughout the years and the girls provide lots of fun, stimulating, educational activities for the children to build upon, both the children's needs/development and their interests. He is always well cared for and he enjoys playing outside in the nursery garden which has recently had new resources and is all ready for the warm months, however, the children access the garden both throughout the warmer and colder months.

All four of my children have been here, one is still there, lovely staff and so helpful, they have been amazing with my children meeting their needs and medical needs. Recommend them to anyone.

My little boy has been attending General Day Nursery for almost a year now and we are all absolutely delighted we chose them to look after our most precious boy.

General Day Nursery has never been phased by the challenges of my son's cardiac condition and he has flourished under their care, both developmentally and with confidence. The staff nurture the children as if they were their own, and although my son's condition is serious, I feel incredibly safe leaving him in their care. The nursery is also incredibly accommodating to your requirements.

I would not hesitate in recommending General Day to any parent looking for a nursery.

As I have a child attending the nursery and the progress he is making I am happy with the services given at this nursery - he has been attending since Jan 2015, has multiple allergies that the staff have been very supportive with and so far he really enjoys attending.

If there ever is an issue Management there have plenty of time to listen to you and go out of their way to help resolve it.

My child has been there since a baby. The staff have been excellent with him all the way through, to helping him with potty training to supporting him with his fussy eating. He loves coming to nursery and always runs to give the staff cuddles.

My son has attended General Day Nursery since 9 months old and is now due to start school in September, he has loved every day at nursery and will miss it. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and great with the children.

This nursery provided so much support for me when I was going through a tough transition of going back to work full time. I had previously had a bad experience at another nursery and was assured and comforted by the manager and nursery staff here. The care and time they put into my little girl and us as a family is outstanding... My little girl has flourished in all aspects and loves going to the nursery. I couldn't be happier.

Terrific nursery. Wellbeing and education of children paramount in importance. Would highly recommend this nursery to any parent. Variety of food and snacks is excellent. Opening hours are good too.

My daughter has attended General Day Nursery since 2014. I can honestly say that the staff are brilliant, children are happy and I have never had a problem or complaint. I have recommended the nursery to a colleague and her son now attends too!!
