All 4 of my children have attended General Day Nursery and all 4 have loved it.
I can’t thank the nursery enough for what they have done for my kids, especially helping me through the long hard process of getting my boys ASD diagnosis, which I couldn’t have done without them.

The staff at General Day Nursery are 2nd to none. There is nothing they won't do to help and strengthen a child's development. My 4-year-old daughter absolutely loves going and has done since she was 6 months old. At Christmas, the staff went out of their way to arrange a lovely evening of holding the
Christmas fayre followed by the children, parents and staff getting dressed into their PJ's to read Christmas stories and sing-song while enjoying hot chocolate.

Perfect nursery lovely setting.
My little girl has gone there from being 9 months old, she loves all the staff and enjoys being in nursery!
She has come on loads and has learnt lots since being here.

My child has been attending General Day Nursery now for over a year. I couldn't imagine ever sending her anywhere else. She is so happy and bonded with all the staff and has made such good friends there. The staff are amazing at what they do and I feel very comforted knowing my daughter is so well looked
after when I have to leave her to go to work etc. General Day was recommended to me and now I recommend it to others. Thank you girls!

My daughter attended General Day Nursery in 2008 from being 6 months old right up until reception (now 11) and now my son attends. Lovely staff, very kind and caring. Never had a tear from either of them going in a morning, so it just shows how much they love the place.

Both my daughters have been to the nursery, one of which is still there. I can’t thank the girls at the nursery enough for their contribution in making my girls the amazing people they are. The nursery work so hard and really have a bond with my daughter. She loves going to nursery which is a credit

The manager and the team are always on point. My daughter has never been happier and has flown in their care.
The meals are nutritious and all the staff are polite and understanding of different cultures and demographic backgrounds.
The nursery is clean and has good pastoral care. And you don’t
just feel like a number.
General Day is a family, built on a foundation of trust and experience.
My new daughter will be attending their also too.
It’s a hidden gem that shines above the rest.

My little boy was so shy when he started General Day Nursery in June last year. Now he is more confident and loves meeting new friends. The staff are patient, kind and fun and go above and beyond every day. My children are excited to go to into nursery in a morning.

I am very impressed with this nursery for many reasons: their ability to cope with toddlers with complex health and learning issues.
Their care for parents.
Their absolute total humanity in fundraising for charities and for a memorial for a past little one and his parents.
Their continued encouragement
for mundane tasks - feeding and toilet training.

I would highly recommend general day nursery.


The staff went above and beyond to help my son and I settle when he initially started attending. My son is now extremely happy and content when there and often gets upset when his day is over and has to leave.


The team there have also been a great

with supporting his dietary needs and exploring his intolerances.

The staff do an amazing job and I feel I can go to work and leave him in their safe hands.

Due to being premature, my grandson had lots of special needs these were managed by the staff to enhance his experiences and give his mother the confidence to enable him to achieve all his abilities. It wasn’t easy sometimes to maintain a normal day as part of his problem was respiratory but staff
were well trained and quickly picked up the signs early enough for appropriate action to be taken. He left the nursery environment a confident well mannered and open to learning which has been good for his entrance to big school. Thank you all at General Day Nursery.

This is an excellent nursery. The staff have been brilliant with our son and his development and social skill have come on in leaps and bounds since he started almost 2 years ago, He is happy content and settled and we feel he is in the best possible care whilst he is there. Communication is first class
and the nursery is very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this nursery, the girls are amazing and do a fantastic job. My son has the best people teaching him and getting him ready for school, he has come on so well since the day he went to nursery at nine months old. I very much doubt he would be the clever little boy without these amazing

This nursery is by far the best I've had, all three of my children have been here and all three have special needs. My daughter is currently here now, the other two are in school. My daughter, I can't fault the girls who deal with her and are always there for me whenever I need them, amazing girls,

This is such a lovely setting and I’m so glad I chose General Day Nursery for my boy. Being a shy child, it was obviously going to be hard for him to settle anywhere, but the staff at General Day Nursery are so kind, patient and caring that we felt welcomed immediately. When changing rooms, the staff
make the transition as easy as possible for each child, tailoring the visits to suit them. They work with the children and parents to ensure they are comfortable and not distressed by the situation. Food is varied and my son eats all kinds of things at nursery, even things I wouldn’t make at home! Activities are always based around what the children enjoy and are interested in. Staff take the time to learn about each child and what they like/dislike and use this to engage them in their learning. Management and team, I cannot thank you enough for providing a safe, happy place for my precious little ones.

All three of my children attended General Day Nursery, it’s almost a home from home. The staff are caring, compassionate and helpful. I’ve always felt happy going back to work as I know my babies are in the best of care. Everything they do is focused on the children with professionalism and warmth.
