My nearly 3-year-old daughter has been going to this nursery for over 2 years and absolutely loves going. We've never had any issues with her being left. All the staff are lovely and push the children to be the best they could possibly be, couldn't ask for a better team. The app keeps us updated on what the children have been doing throughout the day and what they have eaten at meal times. I really look forward to the Friday update as pictures are posted of activities the children have taken part in from each individual room.
Thank you for your lovely comments and for taking the time to provide this review.
The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you and the children.
My daughters learnt so much and the best thing is they wanted to go as they had the best time.
Thank you for your lovely comments and for taking the time to provide this review.
Our son has been attending since he was 13 months. He loves going and loves all the staff. They are very caring and kind with him and I am reassured that he is well looked after while he is there. The app they use is really helpful in getting updates on his food/naps/nappy changes throughout the day and if we even need to communicate with them the messaging service is quick and easy to use and we always get a prompt response. He loves playing outside and enjoys it when they go on trips outside the nursery. He loves the meals they provide and seems to eat more at nursery than at home!

My youngest daughter has just started in Baby Room, and their induction into nursery life is superb and fully involves parents.
An outstanding gem of a nursery, could not recommend them enough!

Excellent childcare facilities. Really puts the children at the heart of everything they do. Caring and compassionate staff who are approachable and friendly. Both of my children love this nursery, both settled quickly and enjoyed everything about it. Would definitely recommend to others

Our little girl has been attending Over The Rainbow since March 2023. After 6 months in the baby room, she’s now really settled in and really enjoys going to the nursery which is wonderful for me to see as a parent. I’d describe the setting as cosy and homely. The warmth is evident. The staff are all lovely, and it’s clear that no matter the room they’re based in, staff are familiar with all the children in the setting. We get daily and weekly updates on the app including lots of photos. We also get to chat to the staff at drop off and pick up. The nursery arrange special themed days, visits and events which the children love and they always seem to be doing different activities. I’ve recently recommended this nursery to a family friend, and I look forward to my girl progressing through the nursery up to starting school.

My little one has been attending Over the Rainbow Nursery since May this year (baby room). He is very happy to go every day. All staff are professional, very helpful. I know that my biggest treasure is in safe hands. Could not recommend more.

After visiting a few settings in the area I decided to go with Over The Rainbow Day Nursery as I felt most at ease that my little boy would be happy here. The staff are all absolutely amazing and friendly and the care offered here is above and beyond. My little boy took quite some time to settle in as he’s very attached to me, however, the staff were always patient and coming up with different ideas to help. The regular updates throughout the day via the App are so reassuring and informative. There is a range of optional activities offered from dance and gym at an extra cost and fun/themed days are offered throughout the year. There is always a good varied selection of meals offered. Overall I have nothing but positive comments for the nursery and the staff 10/10. My little boy is very happy here and speaks fondly of the staff when at home.
Thank you for your lovely comments and for taking the time to provide this review.
I have been using the nursery since 2014, and I have always had excellent service from all staff. Both my children have enjoyed their time at the nursery. All the staff go above and beyond. The nursery has brought on their social and development skills very well. Cannot fault it and would highly recommend it.
Thank you so much; we have loved being part of your extended family and will miss you guys when moving to school in September.
I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough; the way they are with the children is amazing, and they’ve turned my shy baby into a confident little boy!
Thank you for a lovely review; it means a lot to hear how we are doing and that families are happy with our setting.
The management/staff will do anything they can to help/support and have done through some difficult times and are very grateful to them for that.
Thank you for your kind review, we have loved being part of your extended family.
My daughter is currently in preschool and has attended Over The Rainbow Day Nursery from 9 months old, all of the staff have not only gone above and beyond with her care and support but they've always ensured that I'm happy and felt assured that I can contact them at any time with any worries or questions. They understand how difficult it is to leave your child to go to work and reassure me if my daughter is ever upset at drop off, I really appreciate the time that goes into this. Over The Rainbow provide exciting, fun and interesting activities that my daughter loves to tell everyone about and show what she has learnt. The thought and planning that goes into all the activities within nursery and out of nursery are exceptional, I'm just so glad my daughter can experience all of these different things in a fun and safe environment.
Thank you for taking the time to write us the lovely review.
Brilliant nursery, I've had two children there, one has just left for primary and one is still currently there and my youngest will be starting next year. Staff have always been brilliant with them and attentive.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review, it is much appreciated.
My daughter started when she was just 4 months old. I had every faith in the staff that she would be in good hands at such a young age. The staff and management team have been a huge help and comfort in helping me through a difficult patch which I'm completely grateful for. Everybody is friendly, kind and well experienced in the work they do.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review, it is much appreciated.
The updates and personal progress you receive for your child are great and let me see how my child is getting on, not only through the day whilst he’s there but also his overall progress that his key worker has observed.
The app is a great way to see what our children have been up to in the week.
I couldn’t recommend this nursery more and am glad that my child gets to spend many more years here with the wonderful staff and his newfound friends!
Thanks guys.
Thank you for taking the time to write the kind, lovely review, it's much appreciated.
My son was a little delayed in some areas and with early intervention from nursery, he seems to be progressing well.
All the staff I have come into contact with, are very caring and have each child’s best interests at heart.
The nursery has a smaller homely feel, which suits my son very well.
There is always a range of activities planned that all children can participate in. My child thrives better in smaller groups and this is catered for.
The garden areas are safe and very interactive for the children, my son loves this. The food choices are nutritious and varied and if my child has ever refused what was offered, an alternative has been given. I can’t recommend this nursery enough.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review it is much appreciated.
Always available to provide regular updates throughout the day and the care they give our child is so endearing.
Going the extra mile and bringing in princesses such as Moana and Belle gives our little one memories to talk about for weeks.
Highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
There are great activities for the children to get involved in, both as part of the care but also some additional paid-for activities.
Good communication with parents about what’s happening at the nursery. They also provide helpful resources for activities to do at home with children, as well as information surrounding parenting and child development.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review it is much appreciated.
The staff always keep us updated and always have our children’s best interest at heart. The management are also fantastic and we always get a response to any query straight away. The activities which are available are great, our little boy goes to gymnastics and they regularly put on extra fun days or sessions like summer fairs, dressing up days, character visits etc.
Would definitely recommend Over The Rainbow to anyone who wanted a friendly down to earth nursery for their children.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review it is much appreciated.
Our child started with Over the Rainbow in January 2023, although initially she was hesitant to start it's now turned into her favourite days of the week. The staff at the facility get to know the children on a personal level and will go out of their way to help the children learn either by activities inside or outside of the premises. Communication from the staff and managers is brilliant, they keep me informed with my child's developments and what is occurring at the nursery, this ranges from days out to special events inside. Overall an outstanding facility

For the last 20 years, I have been the owner and Manager of a childcare setting in Nottingham. As part of this role, I have gained significant experience regarding the standards of care and education which are required within a nursery setting. As part of my own professional development, I have undertaken an Early Years Foundation Degree in Early Years Studies and am now a level 5 qualified person. My passion for childcare is one of the fundamental reasons that we decided to proceed with the new venture of becoming one of the new owners of Over the Rainbow Day Nursery in Ashton-in-Makerfield, which I am the nominated person for.
After becoming a mother I decided to embark on a new career in Early Years by becoming one of the new Owners and Directors at Over the Rainbow Day Nursery. This was very much the start of my journey and since then I have qualified as an Early Years Teacher so I am now a level 6 qualified person. Qualifying as an Early Years Teacher has proved invaluable to my understanding of early years care and education and to form my own pedagogical views.
