Tiddlywinks Nursery at Hill Lane Blackley has been established since September 1994, with over 30 years as a family run business.

The nursery provides care for children aged from four months to five-years-old.
Tiddlywinks Hill Lane has a homely feel. It is a warm, safe and stimulating environment in which children can explore, learn and develop.

The nursery garden has been refurbished and now has an amazing play environment for children which includes a new safety surface, pagoda, astroturf area, a marvellous mud kitchen and several planters where the nursery will be growing herbs, vegetables and flowers.

My son had 2 serious accidents at the nursery requiring A&E attention, one of which could have been avoided. Risk assessments were not followed, communication with staff during the time was poor, notes on the app did not align with discussion and I had to ask for it to be changed before signing the
accident report.
I have real concerns over the stairs the nursery uses to exit the children from the preschool room. (Fire exit)
I have spoken with other parents and found that another child had been injured on them.
The nursery agreed to send out information to the parents and ask how they feel about the children using this means of exit but nothing has been sent out. I worry that other children may be hurt continuing to use these stairs.
Standards have slipped since my son started at that nursery, and app updates are sparse. There has been a huge staff turnaround and regularly my son leaves with missing clothes and sore bum from lack of attention to toilet care.

My daughter is thriving at nursery, every day she comes home she has learnt something new. The staff are very friendly and professional. She is so excited since starting pre-school and she’s forever telling me how she has the best day up the stairs.

The staff at Tiddlywinks are amazing! They never fail to make me and my baby welcome! They go above and beyond wherever they can! I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! My son has developed so much since starting here!

Amazing nursery, the staff always go above and beyond. My toddler has Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and this nursery has brought him on so much. The nursery is always clean and has so much equipment for the children to enjoy and improve on their development. The staff are very patient, caring and kind
which the children do feel making it such a happy place, especially for my child who loves it there.

It’s a brilliant place for anyone to take their child/children. I would highly recommend the nursery to anybody who is anxious about leaving their child. The staff go above and beyond and the new manager is always more than happy to help in a timely manner. I have nothing bad to say about the nursery.
My son has attended since he was 9 months old and has just become a preschooler.

I couldn’t be any happier with the care and support my son receives at nursery. I have noticed such positive changes in him, he is much more confident and is thriving. A few occasions I had to go into nursery due to the lack of care for my child including not having her nappy changed enough to the point she kept getting sore. On one occasion I was standing outside the building waiting to pick my child up and I heard a member of staff screaming at my child which was
followed by her crying hysterically she was only 2 years old at the time (action was apparently taken but it should not have happened in the first place as it’s supposed to be a professional environment not every child responds well to shouting) there were a few more things that added up to not be the best experience it could have been. Having said that the manager of the nursery at the time was very understanding and any problem I had she did take on board and the issues were dealt with. Some positives did come out of the experience my daughter created some lovely bonds with certain members of staff and children.

Tiddlywinks Nursery is a fantastic setting. We have used this nursery for both of our girls. The staff have really helped them bloom from babies into the little people they are becoming. We would recommend this nursery.

Amazing.
Staff is always super available and smiling.
Our child settled down very well.
Garden is really big with plenty to play outdoor.
There are many rooms inside, it feels very homey.
Food is always good and there is good rotations of choices.
There is an app where you can see what is happening
every day.

My daughter goes to the nursery in higher Blackley it is a lovely setting and she has settled in and has come on with everything. She will be sad when she leaves in July. Many thanks to the staff for helping her to grow.

Had a brilliant experience. Sat down and asked questions and they were answered in the correct way. My daughter loves the nursery and loves the staff in the room. The deputy manager answered all the questions. She loved her cake as well.
