I love my daughter's nursery. Every member of staff knows her name, they are caring, they love her like she’s their own and she is very well cared for which reflects in how she feels about nursery. Every week she cannot wait to go and spend time with her friends. From the moment she walks in she is
greeted with a smile and if she’s ever sad there’s always a comforting arm for her to go to. My child has just turned 2 and without nursery she wouldn’t know half of what she does already. She knows the days of the week, she can count unaided to fifteen, she knows a handful of shapes and she can recite any nursery rhyme you ask for. The time the staff put into their development to get them ready for school is fantastic. It may not be the most modern nursery with state of the art amenities, but the children are all well cared for and that reflects in their happy faces.

My daughter has been going to Stepping Stones for a year and a half. She really struggles socially and had a bad experience previously. Since going to Stepping Stones they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and fits in. They have all the time in the world for her and understand
her character and quirks. She is always happy and chatty on the way and when leaving and they really have made her feel special. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. My son will certainly be attending when he’s old enough too.

We have been a family of Stepping Stones for 5 years now and I would more than recommend them. We have had nothing but positive experiences with the nursery and the staff that work there. My children have made some amazing bonds with the staff and the care and support that is given is fantastic. They
always try to accommodate every situation and help in times of need, my son was going through a very clingy stage not long ago and they did absolutely everything to try and make both him and myself as a mother feel comfortable and in no time at all he was back to his normal self. This was a difficult time but I was quickly put at ease with the support they provided.
I have nothing but love and appreciation for everyone at Stepping Stones Worsley and will be sad to leave when the time comes.

My eldest daughter has been attending Stepping Stones for the last two years. She thoroughly enjoys her days there and has made some brilliant friends who she will be starting school with. The ladies who work in my daughter's room are incredibly friendly and clearly care a lot about the children. The
manager is a huge credit to the nursery and makes everything run smoothly.
My youngest daughter is due to start the nursery next year and we know she will be left in good hands!

I’ve had two children attend the nursery. One has moved into school and my youngest now attends. My youngest moved out of baby room recently. I can’t shout loud enough about the ladies in baby room. The activities are varied and they really care about the children. Now, my son is in toddler room and
he loves it there too. The girls invest themselves into the children’s likes and dislikes and what they need. They get to know them so well. My son loves it and I’m glad he attends somewhere that makes him feel so comfortable.

Both my boys have attended the nursery and have developed and enjoyed their experiences. When there have been any concerns, staff are fast to act upon them. The manager cares for the children as her own and they all feel valued. I wanted a small nursery with a personal approach to the children and this
is exactly what Stepping Stones offers.

My daughter has been attending Stepping Stones since she was thirteen months. She is now three, so she’s moved through all three rooms. In all cases, I can say that our experience at this nursery has been fantastic. Our daughter has flourished since she started attending Stepping Stones. She is an only
child, but her social experience has been so excellent that nobody could tell that she has no siblings. She is happy every day that she gets to attend and has really strong relationships with many of the other children and several of the nursery workers. Every week they set up some new and innovative activity for the children to enjoy, often using natural/recycled resources. The meals they serve are varied and nutritious and our daughter always eats everything! I cannot say enough good things about Stepping Stones and it will be a sad day when it’s time to leave!

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.839 for Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Worsley is calculated as follows: ( (305 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 347 Ratings = 4.839
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Worsley is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
