We couldn't be happier with Stepping Stones, Worsley. We are so happy that we have chosen to send our son there. The staff are amazing, attentive and you can really see that they care for the children. Our son's development, social skills and confidence has come on so much since he started. The food
provided has lots of variety, the menu is sent out each week for parents/carers. The communication is excellent. We get updates, pictures and messages through the app. As well as thorough handovers at the end of each day. We would highly recommend Stepping Stones.

Staff are nice and professional. We were a bit worried at first since my son does not speak English, but he is happy and enjoys his time in Stepping Stones. On the other hand, we want to receive the weekly menu every week, so we can ask our son and talk about it with him after the day.

My child started at Stepping Stones in October 2024 and I couldn't have asked for a smoother start. The care and love they show her are excellent and my 11-month-old can't wait to get into nursery some days! I have noticed a marked improvement in her eating, I am kept up to date with her development
and communication is great.

We've had a great experience at Stepping Stones Worsley since our baby started a couple of months ago. The staff are incredibly warm, caring, and attentive. We have noticed our baby has developed a lot socially and developmentally since starting. I love receiving photos of all the creative activities
our little one gets up to. Highly recommend it to any parents!

We have been so impressed with Stepping Stones so far. Our son started in April 2024 and though he took some time to settle into a new routine, the staff were so kind and considerate and have done everything to ease our son into a new setting. They have communicated effectively with us as parents and
fully understand exactly what our son needs and enjoys. We get regular updates and staff form real effective bonds with the little ones. Our son loves his key worker and his time spent there, engaging in fun activities and lots of outdoor play. We would highly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone.

All the staff at Stepping Stones are so caring and knowledgeable about child development. The relationship my daughter has with the staff is so warm to see and hear about, she definitely has her favourites who always calm her down and settle any nerves. She loves going to nursery and has developed her
skills vastly in such a short period of time. The staff always have time to answer my questions and tell me all about her day. I honestly couldn't be happier with the care and support that she receives. She has also tried so many new foods that she won't even entertain at home so big thanks to the catering staff too.

My little boy has been at Stepping Stones for over a year now (since 7 months old) and I can honestly say I would (and do) recommend to everyone. The staff are all absolutely fabulous, I feel like everyone, regardless of age group they work with, knows everyone, and the love I feel they have for my
son makes everything so much easier.
Nothing is too much trouble and it's so easy to get hold of them with any queries and for help with all the childcare stuff.
So grateful to have this nursery on our doorstep and can't wait to see how much he develops as he moves up to the toddler room.

We chose Stepping Stones 3 years ago, and our daughter has genuinely loved being a member of every room from babies to toddlers to preschool. The staff evidently care deeply about the development of the children, special notes to the staff member who has been present in every stage with our daughter
and really goes above and beyond. As well as this, there has been consistent kindness from all staff, and I would recognise them as standout members of the team who are always taking great care to keep us informed daily. Value for money is excellent and there are lots of varied activities, toys, learning points etc. Food is super varied and generally well-received, everything from chilli con carne to sweet and sour, soups, and vegetarian dishes - great for young palette development. I would recommend Stepping Stones to anyone in the area.

My little girl loves going to nursery and this is all down to the staff that teach and care for her there. She gets to experience a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities and seems to be learning about something new every day. The food is all cooked fresh on the premises and the staff encourage
children to feed themselves which has really helped with her eating at home. I would be confident in recommending this nursery to anyone.

All of my three children have been through Stepping Stones and I currently have my daughter in preschool and son in the babies room. I have nothing but such gratitude and love to everyone at nursery. The manager runs a fantastic team and we are very lucky to be at such a wonderful setting. Cannot speak

I have an older child who attended in 2015 for a couple of years and also have a child who has been there now about eight months. They've both had great experiences here and the development from both children had and has come on immensely, which shows how well the nursery teachers take every child's
learning into account for each child's ability and the support each child needs. It's a very friendly and caring setting. I've always had a lovely experience in regards to the parent and teacher relationship.

My little boy started at Stepping Stones back in May 2023.
My son has a great attachment to his key person as well as the other staff in the under 2's room, we feel very supported and nothing is ever too much for them when it comes to his care.
I was concerned about my son's development before he
started, the staff have been great about my concerns and have made resources for me to take home to do with him. They also made activities and resources based on his interests, needs and learning styles which he has always thoroughly enjoyed! My son only does one day a week, which can be hard to get a full detail of his development but we are provided with a weekend book and home observation sheets which is a nice touch and helps me keep Nursery up to date with what he is learning at home. We love all the staff, the learning environment and we are very happy with the nursery.

My son attended here and I cannot recommend Stepping Stones enough. He has learnt so much from attending here and they really do care for your children. He absolutely loved his key workers and manager. I believe he is ready for school all thanks to stepping stones. He has become more confident and
learnt a lot of new skills without even knowing he is learning as they make everything fun. They are very resourceful and teach the children using different techniques to cater for each child. Thank you for everything you have done for my son!

My daughters are new to Stepping Stones and only there one day per week in the baby room. The staff, facilities and meal plans have been my favourite parts so far. The staff in the baby room and in the office have been helpful with paperwork and really got to know our girls and how to make them comfortable
being away from home for a full day, for the first time. I'm assured that they are well looked after, and they also give me, as their mum, reassurance and information as needed. The facilities are quaint and really allow for playtime and fun for the babies. They go outside every day and really get messy, which I love! Lastly, I feel like they eat healthy and often.

My son loves attending Stepping Stones Day Nursery. He used to be really quiet and shy, didn’t want to play with kids, just me and my husband. I had my son during lockdown and it used to be just us three. Since he started nursery last year, he is very social, loves playing with kids, developed so many
skills including communicating in two languages. He is bilingual and it took him a while to start talking but I want to say a massive thank you to all staff at nursery who encouraged him throughout many creative activities. We practiced a lot at home to help and he became a very bright, caring, independent little boy. Thank you so much for not only looking after our son, but making him feel safe and important, you make him feel like home.

My name is Cheryl and have been part of the Stepping Stones family for 16 years. Starting my journey as a trainee and working my way up to the role of Nursery Manager at our Worsley site.


I hold a Level 6 degree in Early Childhood Studies and my Early Years Professional Status. I am very passionate about ensuring I have well trained and caring practitioners within my team and building secure relationships with both our children and families!


I am also part of the company’s Childcare Development Team, in which I support team members across our other nursery sites, training and role modelling.

I’ve been part of the team at our Stepping Stones Day Nursery in Worsley for over 10 years, beginning my journey as a Nursery Assistant and progressing through to Senior Nursery Practitioner, and now Deputy Nursery Manager. Along the way, I’ve proudly completed my childcare qualifications, building a strong foundation of knowledge and experience.


I’m truly passionate about supporting children as they grow, learn, and flourish, and I take great pride in creating a nurturing, positive environment for them every day. I also love working closely with our team and families, offering support, encouragement, and a friendly face whenever it’s needed.


No two days are ever the same in nursery life, which is something I really enjoy – I’m always learning, growing, and finding new ways to make a difference.
