Monton Village Nursery and Forest School

I’ve had two children at this nursery. My youngest is 2.5 and will be there another year and a half until he’s ready for school. They’ve both thrived there. Kind, friendly and fun. A great educational foundation. I love that each room has its own outside space that the children can use as much as they like. The forest school is also lovely for the older ones. Recommend fully.

Monton Village Nursery has gone over and above during the pandemic to settle our daughter and she absolutely loves it! The staff are caring and meet the needs of the children beautifully. I would strongly recommend this nursery.

My son first started Monton Village Nursery at just 6 months old and the staff were amazing at settling him in and making my return to work so much easier. The care they have given him is second to none. He is now 21 months old and thriving and it’s all thanks to the amazing staff who provide great activities for the children day in day out and look after them with the highest quality of care. I would highly recommend Monton Village Nursery.

My little boy has been at Monton Village nursery for 6 months now and he loves it. He settled in well and all the staff have been really nice. They even managed to get him to sleep at lunch before we did. It is great to get regular updates on the parents' app to see what he has been up to during the day. It is a great little nursery and I would recommend it.

My son has been attending Monton Village since he was 14 months old (now 2 and 1/2 yrs old) and he loves every minute there. This nursery is, without doubt, outstanding in every way. The care and love shown by all of the staff to my son over the past few years has been superb. They know every child inside and out and ensure that each of these children is catered for. The activities that my son has experienced since he started are second to none, from group activities, outdoor play (including a fabulous forest school which he loves), sensory play, educational activities and plenty more. The way they have supported children and families through COVID has been exceptional and nothing is ever too much trouble. Every single staff member has a smile for every child and every adult as soon as they see them which immediately makes it feel like home and without doubt, the staff make Monton Village the place that it is. We wouldn't send our son anywhere else.

We first visited Monton Village Nursery when our daughter was eleven weeks old and were immediately impressed with the setting, the care shown to the children, the outdoor space and the obvious confidence and happiness of the children. Our daughter started attending nursery as she turned one and is now three and in the pre-school class. We couldn't be happier with the care provided, the staff love and care for the children they are looking after. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since moving up to pre-school class in September. She is receiving a high-quality pre-school education as well as lots of fun and laughter. There are dance and gym lessons and Spanish too. The addition of the Forest School has also been amazing. Although our daughter will be amongst the very youngest in her school year, we are absolutely confident that she will be ready for school - both in terms of her education but also her social skills.

Three years ago, we visited Monton Village Nursery with our tiny baby in our arms and were struck by the beautiful learning environment, the focus on child development and education, and the sense of care and community within the setting. We were won over by the polite and confident children in the preschool class who were so happy and engaged in their learning. Three years on and our daughter has progressed through all of their rooms, she has enjoyed every day in nursery, been cared for by a dedicated and loving team of staff and is now one of those polite and confident children in the preschool class. She has developed friendships and built strong relationships with the staff. The nursery staff have helped her develop throughout her time and helped her transition to each room at the most appropriate time for her. As key workers, they have been there for her and us during the challenges of Covid lockdown and we felt entirely safe leaving her in their care. They are part of our family.

Excellent, friendly nursery. My daughter loves coming here. She has been here just over a year in the older two classes, has made friends and really enjoys learning and playing with the staff. Would definitely recommend to others.

My son has attended Monton Village Nursery for more than a year now and he absolutely loves it, he has literally never looked back which is very reassuring as a first-time mum. He continues to develop and learn in a brilliant way and enjoys a wide range of fun activities. The outdoor areas are my personal favourite and my son equally loves it. All the staff are amazing and have been since day one, the way they help the children transition to the next stage/room is brilliant and the continuous support and genuine care is outstanding. We couldn’t be happier.

My daughter started at this nursery at 9 months, and she settled in very quickly and could not be any happier! The staff here are absolute gems, they have made it easy for me as a first-time parent to go to work knowing that my baby will be given the love and care that she needs. I cannot stress how trustworthy they are as a whole, they do take pride in what they do. My daughter has developed so quickly since she started, and it is fantastic how the staff take the time to get to know your child in depth. The Tapestry photo/video updates do keep me going through my long days at work, putting my mind at ease! I couldn't recommend the place highly enough, absolutely outstanding!

My daughter has attended Monton Village Nursery for a year and a half and she loves it. We’ve been extremely happy with the care provided and love the family-feel of the nursery. The facilities and activities are age-appropriate and engaging and staff form strong, positive relationships with the children. I’d highly recommend this setting.

We now have two children at Monton Village and are really happy with it. The staff are all genuine and we have always felt that they truly care for our boys. We have been really impressed with the pre-school and the way they encourage learning through play and get the children interested in learning through topics, trips and the role play area. The staff in younger squirrels have been very supportive during our youngest’s transition to nursery.

Lastly, the garden areas are an amazing asset, each room has its own outdoor space where children are free to play throughout the day, unlike other nurseries we had viewed that shared one garden or had limited access to fresh air.
