Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Urmston

Both of my children love nursery & usually don't want to leave as they're too busy enjoying whatever they're doing. I couldn't have asked for better love & care in the baby room, with staff going above & beyond to think of a wide range of activities, crafts, physical play, songs etc. The transitions between rooms have always been smooth. We felt really well supported with potty training in the toddler room. Both outdoor spaces have been refurbed whilst my children have attended the nursery & they are absolutely fantastic. No other nursery compared for outdoor play space. The menu is healthy and varied. The current management team are excellent - queries are responded to quickly, & they make a comfortable environment to raise any concerns & give support. I have highly recommended the nursery to several other families who now attend.

Our child has been here since they were 10months old and are now in pre school, they love the staff who really seem to care about the children and take care to understand each child. My son especially loves the outdoor areas with their "risky play" . He really seems to be coming along in his learning.

I can't thank the nursery enough for everything they do, my daughter gone from being a shy baby to an independent little girl.

I can't fault anything with Stepping Stones Urmston, my daughter absolutely loves it and has thrived in her two years there. The staff are warm, welcoming and attentive, they really get to know the children and the parents. The amount and variety of different things they do with the children is great, and I love that they spend so much time outdoors with them when they can. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, and will be sending my son there when I go back to work :-)

The nursery has a lovely set up with a gorgeous garden at the back for the children to play in. Staff are all really relaxed and our child has settled in so quickly. They do lots of activities with them and take them on trips out. They even have a pet which our child loves

Both our children love stepping stones and have made wonderful relationships with all the caring staff. They put in so much care and effort to make learning fun and exciting, and child led. The garden space is also amazing. Knowing the boys have been running around and playing in nature for a big chunk of the day is great.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 9 months old and is now 4, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. He has come on in leaps and bounds-his confidence, social skills, and development have grown so much thanks to the caring and dedicated staff.

The team create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Activities are engaging and tailored to help every child progress.

What really stands out is the relationships the staff build-not only with the children but with parents too. They take the time to get to know you as a family, which makes such a difference.

As he heads off to big school this September, it's bittersweet-I'm so proud of him but truly sad to see him leave such a special place. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they've done.

Every single member of staff has been incredibly helpful and has taken great care of my kids. Ellie, Louise, Cot, and many others have all been lovely, friendly, and welcoming with the children.

They offer a great mix of outdoor and indoor activities, along with special story days, and they celebrate festivals and events in a way that involves both kids and parents.

They've also been excellent at accommodating dietary requirements and carefully following all instructions provided.

Overall, it's an excellent team providing a fantastic service. Most importantly, it's a safe and healthy environment for our children.

The nursery has done an excellent job of settling in our little one. They've made us feel welcome and confident that she is well looked after and cared for. They've been very accommodating to dietary requirements and seem to do a lot of fun activities.

Excellent nursery, brilliant staff who really care about child development. Brilliant outdoor play areas so the children can spend time outside. Good level of communication with staff all of whom are really friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend enough.

Our 1 year old recently started at Stepping Stones and we couldn't be happier with the transition. The staff have been so welcoming and kind and it is clear that they truly care about each individual child. Communication has been fantastic every step of the way, which has made our first experience of a nursery straightforward and easy. The outdoor area is lovely with lots going on. We are so grateful for the support whilst our daughter has been settling in and we can see that she will thrive in this setting. Thank you!

My son absolutely loves stepping stones and the staff are amazing! He's come on so much since attending and is excited to go in every time he sees the building. I love the artwork he sends home and seeing all the pictures of him throughout the day. They also have a really good menu of food and have helped him with getting into solid. I feel like my son is safe and cared for and I can't ask for much more than that.

Stepping Stones have been fantastic and both our children really enjoy their time at nursery. The staff are lovely and caring. The children do lots of activities to help them learn. The outdoor area has been recently renovated and is an amazing place to play and they seem to be out there every day weather permitting. Overall a brilliant nursery!

We absolutely love Stepping Stones at Urmston. My older daughter attended here and had a great and thriving time and now my 18th-month-old son attends. He has a huge smile on his face every morning when we pull up on the drive. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional and provide not only care for my son but also love! He enjoyed the activities that they do like cooking and water play and we appreciate the photos to update us on what he is doing. I would 100% recommend this nursery setting to anyone.

I am extremely happy with how the team at Stepping Stones looks after my child. The care and attention they provide are so reassuring and I am very satisfied with the feedback we are given about the children's development and what they have been doing at nursery.

My daughter joined Stepping Stones in Jan 2023 so has been there for just over a year. I can honestly say they have done amazing with her; when joining she was a very shy and quiet little girl who wasn’t the best in group environments, but now we have an extremely confident, intelligent, very happy little girl and it is all thanks to the wonderful staff they brought our child out of her shell in so many ways and there’s not a day she doesn’t come home and not tell me about something she has learned or an amazing story about the day she’s had, and always mentions the staff and how they have helped her. I couldn’t be more grateful for the work they have done with her. I have enjoyed looking through her folder, her development and seeing all the details they have given about how well she is doing. My little girl has also been a little picky with her foods, but the nursery have always helped and supported us all with this and she always has a healthy choice of meals every day.

Since my son settled in at Stepping Stones Urmston we have had no issues and my son always enjoys his days spent there. We always get photo updates of all the activities they are getting up to and developing their learning and motor skills which is reassuring and lovely to see! All the staff at Stepping Stones are really informative and keep in touch and are really keen to support my child’s development. I always feel settled and reassured when my son attends his nursery days and would highly recommend to any parent!

Friendly and homely nursery where our little boy (3yo) quickly warmed to staff and made new friends, after we’d moved house. We love getting his progress reports and hearing about visits to the park, library etc. He’s always absorbed in play or an activity when we come to collect him, which is lovely to see. The new outside area is especially good and the kids clearly love it!
