  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.806 for Safari Kindergarten is calculated as follows: ( (29 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.806

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 24 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 48 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews; 3.00 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 24 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 48 months. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.83 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Safari Kindergarten is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3.00 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.5

    2. Target of 9.2 positive Reviews (46 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 3 Reviews ÷ 9.2 Target = 0.326

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

8.6Safari Kindergarten has a Review Score of 8.6 (8.636) out of 10 and an Average Rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 3 Reviews over all time

I am very happy with the standard of care provided by Safari Kindergarten. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Providing a secure and happy environment for my little one.
Care is bespoke for each child and meals are well thought out to ensure they're familiar to the children i.e. as they
would eat at home.

Since the new manager took over I feel a huge huge improvement from the place. The manager and owner is absolutely fantastic and has made much-needed changes to the nursery as I felt it needed improvement. She is very friendly and approachable and really makes a difference to the place. Staff are fantastic
and my little boy loves it.

My 2.5-year-old little girl attends this nursery, and the staff are amazing with her. She loves going and they really cater to her needs. The transformation of the site since it’s been taken over has been fantastic and it has such a warm and clean feeling. Would highly recommend this nursery.
