Isabelle has been at Tiddlywinks since January 2025 and she absolutely loves her time here. She's always so happy on pickup and on drop off, and she loves her teachers. I love how you can see that the teachers genuinely care about my daughter and the other children; it's not always easy leaving your
child in someone else's care, but we are so happy with Tiddlywinks, thank you for taking such good care of our little girl!

My son has been at Tiddlywinks since he was 8 months old - he is now 3 and has such a lovely connection with all of the staff. All staff make an effort to know him and he runs in everyday, we've never had a day where he doesn't want to go (which eases the mum guilt)! Staff are friendly and there are
plenty of activities and events running to keep the kids busy. This time of year is fab too, a big factor for us was choosing a nursery which had outside space and we felt other nurseries in the area didn't offer this. Parking is easy too - and the nursery are nice and flexible for extra sessions when needed.

My son has been attending here since he was 12 months old (now 2.5 years) he loves it and so do we. Staff are always so helpful and friendly, offering detailed handovers of his day. Would highly recommend it as a nursery to anybody looking in the Ramsbottom area!

My son started nursery at 2 years old as he has a medical condition which means he wasn't able to. The staff were amazing at reassuring me they'd meet his needs. We did a thorough risk assessment till I was comfortable that they all understood what was required. They have helped him settle really quickly
and give me plenty of updates. They are happy to receive calls for updates too from a worried Mummy. He is always so happy and busy playing when I collect him and there is so much for the kids to do. I really like the outside twice a day rule they have in all weather. The staff are so lovely and I highly recommend this setting.

Wonderful nursery with lovely staff who love your child as their own. My little boy has been attending Tiddlywinks since April 2022 and is currently awaiting an appointment in speech and language and the nursery have fully supported this and have even already started working with him on his speech.
My son loves this nursery and gets excited to go each morning to "eat breakfast with his friends", all meals sound delicious and my son seems to enjoy the food and snacks provided. The nursery keeps you informed with photos and the app which allows you to see each event coming up, there is always plenty on. Honestly couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My two year old son started at Tiddlywinks Nursery School at the beginning of March after being at another setting for 18 months, I was worried about how he would adjust with the move but he has already come along so much and made some fantastic bonds with other children and staff. In such a short space
of time he has already been involved with many different exciting events and when he leaves at the end of the day he always asks to go back! Thank you to all of the staff for helping him to settle in and for making the transition a smooth one.

This nursery is incredible. My 2 daughters have been going here since April. The staff are so caring and attentive. My 3 year old has become close to one particular staff member and talks about her all the time, apparently, she’s her “best friend”. My 18 month old was a lockdown baby and took quite
a while to settle in as she was not great with new people and very clingy. Since she has settled we have seen a massive difference in her personality and she will say “hiya” to anyone and is coming out of her shell a lot more. I recommend this nursery to everyone who asks me about childcare. Couldn’t be happier with our choice to send them there.

My son has attended Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom) since he was nine months old, he will turn three in June. I was very anxious at going back to work initially but the staff were fantastic helping my son to settle in and really put my mind at rest. The setting is great and there were so many
fantastic sensory activities for my son to try. He really bonded with the staff and made lots of little friends. He’s now in the preschool and still loves going. I had no hesitation returning back to work when our daughter started at nursery three months ago. She has also settled really well in the baby room.

My grandson thrives at Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom), the key carers give each and every child the learning opportunities to reach their full potential. My grandson has learnt so much since starting at Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom) and his speech has developed dramatically, he is
now speaking full sentences and talking with a wider vocabulary. My grandson loves the outdoor facilities, he enjoys playing on the bikes, on the pirate ship and in the sandpit. Thank you to his lovely key carers for making my grandson so happy and the management team for helping settle him into nursery. Our family would highly recommend Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom).

My son started here and was only in a week till we went into lockdown. Throughout lockdown, they checked how we were doing, what they could do to help, going above and beyond what I would expect from any nursery. He is back full time and is about to move up to his next room, and I'm amazed at how much
he is progressing now, and I have to say it's thanks to the nursery he goes to. The staff are so friendly and willing to help ensure that he is not only progressing inside the nursery but outside as well. I can't recommend this nursery enough.

My little boy attend this nursery; he has made lots of friends and is always excited to go. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and always happy to answer any questions you may have. They do lots with the children and make lots of keepsakes for them to send home. They really do go the extra mile.
Throughout this pandemic, they have kept things as normal for the children as possible and avoided any disruption to their nursery life. Definitely, a place I'd recommend.

My little girl has been coming to Tiddlywinks since she was 8-months-old, she is now 3 and, we have had a really great experience with the nursery. She always looks forward to arriving in the mornings and has bonded well with her carers. There is always something going on at nursery for the children
to get involved with - from Spanish lessons (pre covid) to welly walks. Would definitely recommend Tiddlywinks.

My son has just transitioned from one nursery to the Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom setting, and it has surprisingly gone very well, my son seems to very happy and settled in such little time and has a fantastic bond with his new key carers.
A big thank you to the management team who has made
this transition happen so quickly and smoothly, you have been very accommodating and flexible and big thank you to all his new key carers for taking a big interest in our sons next steps.
Fantastic facilities, kind and happy staff and very welcoming.

Both of my children have been to this nursery and both have been very happy there. The staff are genuine and caring - naturally giving lots of cuddles which is lovely to see when it’s your precious little one they’re looking after. They have recently been a massive help supporting my little one through
potty training. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tiddlywinks.

I couldn't be happier with the choice of nursery for my daughter. Every day my little one is so excited when she sees the carers and loves attending. The activities and meals are extremely varied and the nursery creates theme days throughout the year and encourages dress up. It's a safe environment
and my daughter is happy and thriving.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.446)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.446) out of 10 for Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom) is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.613 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tiddlywinks Nursery School (Ramsbottom) is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 number of registered child places is 16.8. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.8 = 0.238
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
