My daughter started at the nursery in September as I was returning back to work after maternity leave. I was very worried about leaving her and how she would settle in. I shouldn’t have been worried as she absolutely loves the nursery and the staff. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble,
my little girl is so happy clapping and giggling when I drop her off and also happily playing or sleeping comfortably when I return to pick her up. I couldn’t be more happy with how she’s settled in and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

We moved here from Birmingham, so it was a big challenge. The staff at Treetops (Worksop) have been so lovely and within three months you would think my son had been there for years. He loves it and it really has built his confidence. No matter what I ever ask for the manageress helps me straight away.
This nursery is definitely outstanding.

All the new staff are welcoming and friendly and ensured my child was safe and I knew he'd be cared for with their best ability. What could be improved is giving more feedback about my child's day and more info about supporting my child's learning.

The nursery seems fairly well organised, however, I've noticed that staff are sometimes lacking (in numbers) and they have to juggle children around in order to have enough staff to children. However, the nursery is very clean and safe from what I've seen and any problems I've has been dealt with quickly.

As a new parent, I feel the staff are very caring and fill me in with as much information as possible about how my daughter is, to make me feel comfortable leaving her with strangers.

I think the staff in the nursery are excellent. They are happy to reassure me if I have any concerns, especially when he moved up to Monkeys. I am impressed with how much my son has come on with his social skills and other staff seem to have personal knowledge about my son's likes and dislikes.

I feel confident, as a parent, that staff looking after my child are following/mirroring my child's routine as I have asked them to, but also; I know that if they felt my child was tired, for example, they would let her sleep when she needs to. They are a brilliant team for my child.

Both of my children attend Treetops and I couldn't be happier. My children are both allergic to dairy and the staff are fantastic at catering for their needs. They are careful and will make healthy meals to suit their diet. I fully trust my children with their care. Transitions between rooms are fantastic
and well planned out. I can't praise them highly enough.

I find the staff very caring, very knowledgeable and very easy to get along with. I always receive an update on how my son has been and the activities he has done that day. My son is always asking to go to nursery, even on his days off.
My son really enjoys learning here and has made great relationships
with the staff. They work very well with parents.
Treetops provided a lot of support to us whilst going through a difficult time at home, something that we were extremely grateful for. I am very proud that my son attends this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.590)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.590) out of 10 for Busy Bees Worksop is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Worksop is calculated as follows: ( (155 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 155 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.59 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Worksop is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.765
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello my name is Rachel and would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Centre Director here at Worksop.

I previously worked for Busy Bees Daybrook, starting there in 2003 as Senior Nursery Nurse. I have worked my way up the career ladder being successful in my appointment as Assistant Manager whilst working at this this then i was promoted to the manager at our Wollaton site from 2005 to 2010. I took a 2 year break from my career when i gave birth to my daughter, I then returned to manage the Southwell Busy Bees in October 2012 before coming to Worksop in 2020 and haven't looked back. My qualifications include my NNEB, A1 certificate in assessing, Food safety and hygiene level 3, First aid at work and Paediatric First Aid and many more such as Safeguarding and Language lead. Here at Worksop we take proud in our "Outstanding" setting, acting as ambassadors who provide top quality care in the education, learning and development we offer within our baby, Toddler and Pre-school Rooms. As manager i strive to provide my staff team with as much training to better their career and knowledge with regular training opportunities. This ensures that my staff keep up to date with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and use this effectively in the learning and development of the children in our care, growing and developing their core skills at their own pace catering activities and learning based around their individual interests. I would love for you to book a visit to take a look around my OUTSTANDING setting, to meet myself and my dedicated staff team. Feel free to contact us with any queries or questions you may have and I look forward to welcoming you and your family very soon to Busy Bees Worksop.
