The nursery has been providing high quality early years care and education for children since July 2001. Spread across 4 age-appropriate air-conditioned rooms and with 3 different outdoor spaces (including Baby Garden, Toddler Garden and Allotment) for children to enjoy - this nursery really does tick all the boxes.

Practitioners at Longdale Lane nursery have been fantastic at helping my little boy to settle in to nursery. They are loving and caring as well as being professional. The manager is as equally caring as the key workers; taking time to call and email me to reassure me that my son is happy and settled.
Thank you to all staff that have been involved in my son's first month at nursery.

Longdale provide a safe environment for my child. They are always polite and friendly and my child enjoys attending. They have lots of different activities set up each day to encourage learning through play, however it would be nice to see more teaching based activities now my child is older. Longdale
provide lots of outdoor based activities which are fantastic, they also do trips out which is lovely. I think policies/procedures have improved greatly over the years and they are always willing to listen to any issues/improvements from parents.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Longdale over the past six years, who have looked after both of my children from being babies to 3 years of age, when they've had to leave to move on to school nursery. We've been lucky to have got to know many of the team members over
the years, they always provide excellent care and attention to the children and the reassurance this gives to a parent is paramount. It's going to be very strange not dropping a child off at Longdale on my way to work (there won't be any more!), we're going to miss you all.

There is no online app where I can see what my child was doing. I know you have Facebook page but I don't have account there so don't know what is happening on that page. When I normally pick my child up there is nothing mentioned, what activities she did apart from eating. In e-bills, no dates been
mentioned- which days she normally attends apart from basic payment. No updated dairy dates or other info is sent by email.

Hello, I'm Rachel - Head of Nursery at Cherubs Longdale. I decided to pursue a career in childcare as I grew up with lots of siblings and family friends. As I grew older, I did lots of babysitting which inspired me to work in childcare. I have always enjoyed working with children and watching them grow and develop.


I have been in childcare for a while now and with Cherubs Nurseries since 2014. I have gained a huge insight into childcare by being fortunate to work at a few Cherubs settings including Cherubs Sutton in Ashfield and Cherubs South Normanton. On a day-to-day basis, I ensure Cherubs Longdale is effectively run by ensuring we provide a high level of care and always putting the children, parents and families at the heart of everything we do.
