My daughter started this nursery in July when she was 9 months old, the Busy Bees staff have helped her settle in. She is happy and cared for, they comfort her and she is always busy with different activities. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional and I feel at ease leaving my daughter
there each week. The nursery is well presented with plenty of activities to occupy and challenge the children daily. They also have a range of fresh food on offer. Busy Bees keep you up to date via the parent zone app so I can see what my daughter has been doing and how she is progressing, the staff are also more than happy to chat before and after, for any information or concerns. I sometimes work away and this nursery is always accommodating at offering extra sessions for me to book when needed. I am more than happy with this nursery and I would recommend it.

The only thing I do not like about Busy Bees is that we seem to have issues with invoices being paid quite a lot. We always pay but get told we haven’t. It isn’t the staff's fault at Daybrook albeit it's quite frustrating. Everything else we absolutely love. Staff are great.

Since starting the nursery, my nephew always talks about his time at nursery and on several occasions I have picked him up and the nursery is well presented and always has lots for him to do. The staff are welcoming and lovely when I come in.

The safeguarding procedures are very thorough and if I’m

not recognised someone will always check to ensure I am who I say I am.

My son has attended the nursery since November 2015 and he has loved it since day one. His development has come on leaps and bounds. The resources and activities planned to meet his individual needs and stage of development which in turn enables him to thrive!

The staff are caring; knowledgeable

and dedicated to the children. I can’t find one fault with the nursery. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the nursery to anyone and have already recommended several friends with children. Thank you Busy Bees at Daybrook!

During my sons time in nursery he has thrived to the highest level possible. He loves to be outdoors and the garden at the nursery gives him lots to do and keeps him well engaged!
He has built strong bonds with all the staff and loves to come into nursery!
The staff are well managed and the management
team are a great support for queries and any questions. The staffs knowledge is to a high standard and they support my child with his individual development and needs.
I can’t thank the staff enough for their hard work and their loving nature!

Always warm and welcoming. My daughter has now been going to this nursery for just over a year and the difference in her confidence is outstanding. I only have the staff at the nursery to thank for this. Always available to speak to and my daughter loves nursery. Best decision myself and my partner
made. Thank you Busy Bees in Daybrook you truly are amazing.

The nursery is very clean, staff are welcoming and friendly and are always happy to help. The staff always put the needs of my Daughter first and feel they are happy to see her on arrival at the nursery. I also, think it is a lovely touch that the chef makes a birthday cake for each child's birthday.
The staff are genuine superstars!

My Daughter attends the nursery 4 days a week and is always happy on arrival and looks like she has had fun when I collect her, this is what is most important to me. The staff are really friendly and approachable and are on hand to advise on development matters when needed. The management team are
always available and approachable and always have a smile and greet my daughter on arrival. I feel happy and confident to leave my daughter in their care.

Great nursery, friendly and welcoming staff. My son is 19 months old and enjoys the familiar faces of the staff, even though he is only part time. Clean, well-maintained nursery with a great outdoor play area and car park.

Both my boys attend Busy Bees in Daybrook. My two-year-old is nurtured and cared for. The staff encourage him to try new activities/tastes. My youngest is deaf, the staff have supported his transition to nursery with professionalism and kindness. I know that my boys are being cared for in a safe environment.

My son has been attending this nursery since he was 8 months old and we have been nothing but happy with the service they provide. My son loves going to nursery and has developed so much by attending. Every single member of staff is attentive to the children's needs and they have created a very warm
and friendly environment. My son has a great relationship with all the members of staff who care for him. The rooms have lots of space with a new outdoor area. The managers are very friendly and involve parents as much as possible with things that are happening in the nursery. I cannot recommend highly enough.

My daughter started at Busy Bees Daybrook in September. The staff have been fantastic (with her and me!) and made a very difficult transition so much easier. She now gets excited about going to nursery and talks about 'the ladies' who look after her constantly. There is a lovely outdoor area, which
my daughter absolutely loves playing in and the whole nursery is currently in the process of being redecorated and re-equipped with some lovely stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We had recently moved into the area early 2016 and desperately needed to find somewhere that fitted the hours we work, that also provide the best care for our baby. We were amazed when we first looked around the nursery. The staff were welcoming and we felt comfortable leaving our son in their care.
We had a couple of minor issues but we had a meeting with the manager to discuss our concerns and we haven't had any issues since! My son loves coming here and is always happy to see the ladies on shift.
The nursery is very clean and there are plenty of toys for the children to play with.
On picking up our son, we often find that he's playing with other children. This is fantastic for him as he's an only child and nursery is his only chance to interact with other children.
We, unfortunately, don't manage to attend parents evenings due to the hours that I work, but we always feel welcome to ask questions if we ever need to.
My son is encouraged to eat his meals that are cooked onsite.

Choosing a nursery was so hard, I wanted my little boy to be happy and settle in so I would feel comfortable leaving him. The team at Busy Bees Daybrook are exceptional, they all made the transition really easy. You're always greeted with a smile and my little boy can't wait to get there. The food is
great, the outdoor area is perfect for his needs and it's always clean and well presented. He's well cared for and always has a smile for the staff. I would highly recommend this nursery, the atmosphere is great and my little boy has come on in leaps and bounds. Fantastic Nursery with a personal touch, it's outstanding in my book. I'm a self-confessed over protective mummy, and while I'm at work I never worry about him because I know he's having a great time. The manager and her team are wonderful, plus there's great communication with parents.

Current Review Score: 8.0 (8.041)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (8.041) out of 10 for Busy Bees Daybrook is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.0 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Daybrook is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.041 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Daybrook is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 123 number of registered child places is 24.6. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.6 = 0.041
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
