Set in a fully upgraded and refurbished Victorian School building, Cherubs Kimberley has been providing high quality early years care and education for children since June 2003. Spread across 4 age-appropriate rooms, a self-contained Baby Unit and with 4 different outdoor spaces (including Baby Garden, Toddler Garden and Pre-School Garden) for children to enjoy (curated bespoke by Timotay Playscapes) - this nursery really does have it all.

The nursery has its own tranquil and sensory rooms, too. Here, Educators plan targeted STEM activities or provide additional support for those children with special editions needs (SEN).

If you’re looking for a modern and conveniently located nursery, overflowing with outstanding facilities, Cherubs Kimberley is the nursery for you.

The amount and variety of outdoor space (and animals) is wonderful as are all the staff. Learning is fully supported in many different ways for all ages. Parents are supported and listened to. Food is varied and cooked from fresh on the premises. I fully recommend this nursery to other parents, especially
those with children that love to play outside.

My son has attended this nursery for over a year and I am very pleased with his progress. He is a naturally shy child, but thanks to the nursery he has grown in confidence and learned to get on well with other children. He is always happy to go to nursery in a morning, and greatly enjoys the range of
activities he does there.

My son who is almost 4 and my daughter who is 1 both attend Cherubs Kimberley. We've always been extremely happy with the care they receive. Even when I'm swapping sessions and adding days last minute due to my work, they are always happy to accommodate and the kids always have a great time. Thank you
as always.

My son has been attending Cherubs since November 2015 after we swapped from a childminder. It was the best decision we could have made, he has come on leaps and bounds during his time there. The staff are really friendly and helpful and our son is very happy when he is there. Cherubs has some lovely
features such as the different animals outside including chickens and rabbits and the lovely beach area and playground outside. I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

My Daughter started attending Cherubs Kimberley 2 years ago when she was 6 months old. This is an excellent nursery. Staff are friendly and bond with the children quickly. Communication is good, we are given a sheet with information about food and activities at the end of each day. Although the building
is an old Victorian school the facilities are modern, clean and well maintained. They are always developing and improving areas to make it a stimulating environment for the children. The management are excellent and deal with any questions very promptly.
My Daughter is very happy and looks forward to going to Nursery. Nursery has helped her development. I have recommended the nursery to many friends and family who are all as happy with the nursery as we have been.
An excellent nursery that we feel lucky to have found!

Having been with my daughter for her first 2 years it was quite upsetting for her to be left at nursery for the first time, (and for me!). However, my daughter and the team really have been fabulous and supportive and now we have hardly any tears. My daughter has come on leaps and bound since starting
Cherubs and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to other parents.

Our daughter has been going to Cherubs Kimberley for a few months and loves it. The staff helped her settle in brilliantly, and her key worker provides us with useful daily feedback. They are very proactive in furthering her development, and providing her with relevant activities to do so. The meals
provided are excellent and provide her with a varied/healthy diet. The outdoor areas are fantastic, and provide the children with great access to explore and play.

My son loved every minute of going to Cherubs Kimberley, it is a lovely nursery and has lots of outside space. The staff are very knowledgeable and care about the children that attend. It definitely helped develop my little boy into the intelligent and confident person he has become.

He will also

attend wrap around care next year and his sister will be starting next year too.

Inspirational leadership. The manager's enthusiasm for learning and developing new ideas shows no bounds. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. My son has always looked forward to going to nursery and said he has had a good day. Staff embrace challenges, like the progress to potty training, with
confidence and realism which makes me feel secure and happy that my son is in good hands.

Cherubs Kimberley is an amazing nursery. My son has just left to move onto primary school. Cherubs have nurtured all of my sons abilities and helped to give him new abilities. I truly believe he wouldn't be the boy he is today were it not for this nursery - I actually held him back a year for them to
continue with the great work they were doing, and that has been the best decision I have made about his life to date. The staff are all lovely and the setting is fantastic -there's a lovely vibe to the place, you can both see and feel the heart that has gone into it by the wonderful manager.
It's big, lots of space, facilities and equipment are good, there are lots of animals and even a beach to play on. On many occasions my son has cried at home time because he wanted to stay longer, which speaks absolute volumes. Highly recommended and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved in my sons pre-school years, we will be forever grateful for everything and we will miss you all a lot.

My little boy has been going to Cherubs since he was 9 months old, and he is now 21 months. From the beginning he settled in very well, and has clearly always been happy at nursery. The staff are all brilliant with him, they have an excellent variety of good, home cooked food, and a great range of play
activities. The nursery has been excellent at providing childcare flexibly as I can work on different days from week to week. The manager is very nice, easy to contact and very approachable. They have allowed me to return to work safe in the knowledge that he is well cared for and happy, and I honestly couldn't ask for more.

Provision of homemade food is fantastic. The staff have worked well with my child to settle him in and each room we have found a few members of staff that have alwasy gone that extra step with him. I am more than happy to name people if you find the informtaion useful. Extra activities are talked about
often with large smiles. The mini zoo outside is magical especially in the earlier room, a great distration when there wasnt mum or dad. Also amazed at how they are alwasy rejinventing spaces in and outside :)

My experience of Cherubs nursery and the staff has been great. Our daughter has settled in so well and has come on so much despite me only working part time. Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.861)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.861) out of 10 for Cherubs Kimberley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.861 for Cherubs Kimberley is calculated as follows: ( (281 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 324 Ratings = 4.861
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Kimberley is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 135 number of registered child places is 27, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello, I'm Laura - Area Manager for Cherubs Kimberley. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007 and incredibly fortunate to work across multiple Cherubs Nurseries during my career so far. Doing this has allowed me to really understand the expectations and the need to ensure we provide high-quality childcare every day. We take our role in the early years seriously and are always keen to go above and beyond where we can.

I am incredibly passionate about giving all children the very best start. In addition to my Area Manager role, I am the Group Safeguarding and SEND Lead. This means I work with all the nurseries to ensure we provide tailored care to those with additional needs.
