Set in a fully upgraded and refurbished Victorian School building, Cherubs Kimberley has been providing high quality early years care and education for children since June 2003. Spread across 4 age-appropriate rooms, a self-contained Baby Unit and with 4 different outdoor spaces (including Baby Garden, Toddler Garden and Pre-School Garden) for children to enjoy (curated bespoke by Timotay Playscapes) - this nursery really does have it all.

The nursery has its own tranquil and sensory rooms, too. Here, Educators plan targeted STEM activities or provide additional support for those children with special editions needs (SEN).

If you’re looking for a modern and conveniently located nursery, overflowing with outstanding facilities, Cherubs Kimberley is the nursery for you.

We absolutely love this nursery. The team take such great care of our son and it's clear how much they genuinely care about the children. They always go above and beyond to make sure he's happy, settled and developing well. It's such a lovely, nurturing environment and we feel really confident leaving
him there each day. We're so grateful to all the staff for everything they do.

The nursery staff seem to genuinely care about the children and do their best to ensure that the children get the most out of their time there.
My daughter has developed so much since going to nursery. She is a confident little girl and has come out of her shell so much since going to the setting.
We
encourage her to be independent at home and this is reinforced at nursery.
The staff support the developmental milestones we put into place at home and regularly update us on her progress. It's clear they want to do the right thing and see her grow.
My daughter always has smiles and something to show me when she leaves nursery for the day and is excited to go there in the morning.

My daughter started in January at Cherubs at just 9months old and I'm over the moon as to how well she's settled in and enjoying it. Such a relief dropping her off somewhere she clearly feels safe with and absolutely loves her key worker.

Our little boy has been at the nursery for one year now and we couldn't be happier. He started in the babies room where he quickly settled and bonded with the staff. He is now in Buttercups and absolutely thriving. The staff in that room including Sarah, Jamie, Ruby and Tia care so much and it is so
lovely to see the thought that goes in to setting up activities for the children everyday. They do baking, lots of messy play and are outside a lot of the time which is great. The staff seem to love their job and have an excellent working relationship with one another. We couldn't have chosen a better setting for our little boy. The staff take time to get to know parents and I love chatting to each of them at drop off and pick up. They are attentive to the children and always put their safety and needs first. They are an asset to the nursery And we are so grateful to have them as important role models and care givers of our little boy.

Both of my daughters attend the nursery and the quality of care is amazing. The girls within the rooms always go above and beyond to make my daughter's days extra special. Couldn't as for a better nursery for my girls to attend.

This review is based on the two stay and play sessions the pre-school team have recently put on for us families. We have attended both and would really like to say a big thank you to the team. We really enjoyed it, our little girl enjoyed showing us what she does while she is at pre-school, it was also
a great opportunity to meet some of her friends and their parents and have a little chat with the staff members. Sessions like this have made us feel a little more involved with the nursery and helping us to understand the type of environment our little girl spends time in. We really appreciate the time and effort that staff put in to making the sessions fun. We look forward to attending more. Thanks again pre-school team.

My daughter has been at Cherubs Kimberley for almost 3 years now and has always had the best time. She is always happy and talks all the time about her days at nursery/pre school. She has made such a lot of progress in preschool with her counting and phonics, and always shows great enthusiasm when demonstrating
these skills at home. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming yet incredibly professional. They really are honorary aunties and uncles and it's a home away from home for her. My little boy has also just started in the baby room and he too has settled in well.

My son has been at Cherubs Kimberley from 13 months old to finishing preschool. I have found the staff to be very enthusiastic, encouraging and caring. He has learnt a lot and covered a wide range of activities, hopefully setting him up well for starting school! The rooms are a lovely environment, with
lots to do and he enjoys the outside space too.

The nursery provides a safe engaging and fun place for the children, the activities are varied and they focus on the child's development. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, they have great relationships with the children and are always available to help, listen, and support. You receive
updates on your child's day via the app and on the collection and see snippets of their day which is lovely. I am extremely happy with the care my child receives and know that he is well looked after and having fun when in.

We have had a great experience with Cherubs during all of our child development stages. The staff are great and really understood her individual needs. The outdoor area is brilliant and our child absolutely loves the outdoor play. They always have great activities throughout the day, and they especially
love painting and creative play. The app is great for updates, and I always feel informed and up to date.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.861)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.861) out of 10 for Cherubs Kimberley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.861 for Cherubs Kimberley is calculated as follows: ( (281 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 324 Ratings = 4.861
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Kimberley is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 135 number of registered child places is 27, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2007

Hello, I'm Laura - Area Manager for Cherubs Kimberley. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007 and incredibly fortunate to work across multiple Cherubs Nurseries during my career so far. Doing this has allowed me to really understand the expectations and the need to ensure we provide high-quality childcare every day. We take our role in the early years seriously and are always keen to go above and beyond where we can.

I am incredibly passionate about giving all children the very best start. In addition to my Area Manager role, I am the Group Safeguarding and SEND Lead. This means I work with all the nurseries to ensure we provide tailored care to those with additional needs.
