I have absolute confidence when leaving my children at the nursery. The staff are fantastic and do their best to ensure we know all about their days. My eldest son has made a lot of progress in Wise Owls, and I am reassured that he will start school as prepared as possible. The meals my children eat
are healthy and varied, and they obviously enjoy mealtimes. The nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment where they really develop their confidence when away from their parents. I would not hesitate to recommend Kiddi Caru Daventry.

General lack of communication from management regarding the following;
No longer using folders for progress, what is the replacement?
Staff changes not communicated well, cover staff over other staff lunches who we are unaware of. We used to know the names of every staff member in each room. This
is no longer the case.
Child review meetings no longer take place.
Final year in Wise Owls is meant to be pre-school, not sure if any different activities are done with the children
The long-awaited Christmas nativity was changed to an evening of 3 carols. Parents queued up the stairs, packed into two rooms, not sure this was particularly safe for visitors, staff and children. We appreciate last-minute changes cannot be helped but it seemed as though no one had any ideas of the event weeks before.
On the positive side, the regular members of staff who look after our daughter on a day to day basis are fantastic and we feel that our daughter is in very safe hands and completely happy.

My daughter started nursery in Dec 2018 and right from the start has enjoyed every minute.
Amazing staff who listen to all she has to say and give thorough updates when I pick her up.
Lovely setting with a brilliant outdoor play area.
Lots of stimulating play and learning done throughout the day.
My daughter comes home full of stories of her day and absolutely shattered! We both love it here!

Very happy overall with our boys attending this nursery.
Handovers at the end of sessions lack information about what our children have been up to and we're only really told whether they have eaten or not. It would be nice to hear what they've been up to more often.
There appears to be a lot of staff
changes recently and with a child that is anxious about attending it would be nice to be kept up to date with who is who and who is working where to alleviate some of this anxiety. We used to get newsletters detailing staff movements which helped lots maybe this could be implemented again?

For a first time mum, leaving your child in the care of someone else is terrifying. Not only did the staff at Head Start Daventry put my son at ease but also put me at ease. They have been fantastic. The care they have for the children is fantastic and I always love hearing about what my little boy
has been up to when I pick him up. I honestly can't fault this nursery and want to say a big thank you to all of the staff for being so brilliant!

Both my children have attended Head Start Nursery in Daventry and both my children have loved it there. They have had a great start at this nursery both socially and intellectually. All the staff have been great with my children. The surroundings and facilities are fantastic, the activities are varied
day to day. I have nothing but praise for this nursery, they do an amazing job and I am happy my children spent their infant years here.

Head Start have been amazing with my son. He loves it there so much and has become so much more independent since starting a year ago. He does 3 sessions a week but really wants to do more and doesn’t want to come home! All the staff are brilliant and very knowledgeable, they can always tell me how
much he’s eaten and what he’s been up to that day! Highly recommend!

The staff have been great with him and he's built really good relationships with the staff.

Very impressed with Headstart, my little boy loves it there and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I love the information and pictures etc you get to see about your child's time at the nursery in the folder they get.

Good nursery offering a high standard of care and a strong emphasis on education and activity. Our children got involved in a wide range of fun arts and crafts and loved the outdoor play space. We feel it offers a solid preparation for starting school.

Head Start is amazing! my two children are so happy and settled there. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and have been great with my son's fussy eating and on going toilet training. I am so glad we chose Head Start for out children and can't praise them highly enough.

This is the beginning of my daughter's last year at Head Start. She has been at this nursery full time since she was six months old. The building is lovely and traditional and covered in colourful seasonal displays of the children's work and photographs of what they have been getting up to. They
get to play out in the large enclosed garden whenever possible which is a great facility to have as well as play with indoor toys, books and iPads. I cannot praise the staff here enough for their commitment, enthusiasm and professionalism; My daughter learns new things every day and comes home full of tales about things she has done at nursery that she has loved (reading, cooking, sports, arts and crafts, music but most importantly playing!). The thing we like best (and what made us choose this nursery in the first place!) is that the staff really care and take the time to get to know the children (and not just the ones in their immediate care but all the kids) my daughter is looked after by people who have known her since she was a baby and who are constant positive figures in her life. The team seem to genuinely love kids and whilst they will quickly address any disciplinary issues they are also equally as quick to praise a child who has done well and give affection to a child who is upset. I have recommended Head Start to many local parents and my daughter has made some great friends here. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a home away from home atmosphere where their child is cared for as an individual.

Both of my children have attended this nursery and have always been very happy here. The staff are very friendly and supportive and provide a stimulating learning environment for the children. The outside area is great for the children to explore and learn within. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

I have had my 1st Child with the nursery since 2012 and have continued to have my 3rd child in the nursery (inclusive of my 2nd who is currently still at the nursery) and very happy with many aspects and the staff as well as my children's developments. Job Title: Nursery Manager

Sandy has worked in the education sector for over 24 years. She originally started as an assistant in a primary school, and then went on to gain qualifications in SEND, becoming a 1:1 for children with learning difficulties. Sandy is also a qualified teaching assistant, and completed an Open Degree studying Child Psychology, amongst Early Years framework statements and Management. Sandy has fantastic Early Years experience, from starting as a Nursery Practitioner, to working her way up to a Room Leader, Deputy Manager, Nursery Manager.
