Busy Bees in Wootton Fields offers children a stimulating environment where they have access to an entire range of exciting activities and engaging learning resources.

The nursery caters for children from babies through to preschoolers, and provides a space for children of every age to flourish. Each of the nursery rooms are tailored to suit different age groups with a wide range of age-appropriate facilities on offer to help support their development. The team support children by following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring they have the very best early years education whilst also preparing them for school.

The spacious garden areas provide covered spaces for your little one to enjoy being outside no matter the weather. The mud kitchen and vegetable patch gives children opportunities to learn whilst enjoying being in the fresh air.

The team work hard to ensure children are always learning and having fun while at the nursery, and the Busy Bees' learning and development app ‘UP’ offers a range of information and advice for you to support your child's progress at home too.

My child has settled in very well since she started the nursery in September 2025.
The staff in the nursery has been very supportive to my child, they're friendly and caring.
They have a very good environment and spacious space for the movements of kids and large playground for the kids to play.

Busy Bees Wootton Fields is an excellent nursery setting. From the moment my daughter joined the nursery, she's been nurtured and supported by all the caregivers in her room. She receives a great variety of meals and the activities/play looks great too. Every staff members I have come across has been
kind, helpful and friendly. As parents we receive regular updates and detailed communications.

The Nursery is safe and secure. Bumbles room if organised with good structure. The preschool room is the complete opposite. Theres no organisation. You have to search for your child's belongings everyday, often in different places. My observation is there's a lack of senior leadership and experience.
The work force is quite young. Clearly there has been a change in staff recruitment to adhere to diversity policies, as there are now 4 new members of male staff, all of which are young. Some are teenagers. My boy has mentioned that he is scared of certain male members of staff (this is no longer the case) I think this is due to their lack of experience. I don't feel comfortable with teenage boys looking after and potentially changing my little girls nappy. I think busy bees should prioritise what is best for the kids and who's the right person for the job rather than trying to tick boxes for being 'diverse'. The kids are priority. Other parents we talk to share this opinion.

Very caring and supportive staff. My children have grown so much during their time here, built strong positive bonds with both staff and peers, and learned a great deal along the way. Highly recommended

Brilliant nursery
I was so worried when my boy first started as it was the first time him not being around me.
They updated me on everything and also on how he was doing.
He's only been there 3 weeks and he's already settled.
He still doesn't like going in and me leaving but he will settle after
a while.
They send me photo of him every week and some with him actually smiling which makes me feel so much better.
I just want to say thank you so much for the support you have given me as a parent.
And hopefully he will love it even more once settled properly.

Very disappointed, requested funding placement ONLY, asked for a full day & half day. Explained how previous nursery accommodated according to funding hours. Questioned why child would be attending such long hours (8 - 1) (8-6) found this strange again because previous nursery only allowed child to
attend the 15 hours funding as requested. Only once in placement & after questioning yet again - was it explained that the funding is covered in that time frame & anything extra must be paid by parents.
This is not an option, it will leave us very low on funds come the end of the month when nursery invoice us. Child has only attended 1x 2 hour settle in session, 2 half days & 1 full day. Have attempted to withdraw placement & been informed to provide 2 months notice. Meaning again we have to pay for another month & child will loose out on other placements which have being researched & who will happily take child for funding hours only. Security is very lax as well and concerning.

Our daughter is leaving in two weeks to head off to school and it's bittersweet. She has had a wonderful time here and has some lovely relationships with other children that we hope to maintain. She's also built lovely relationships with the teachers there too, and she'll be sad to not see them everyday
as she does now. The staff are kind and nurturing and I know she and my now 6 year old son were in very capable hands. Thank you for everything you've done for Oscar and Isla, you've set them up so well for school.

Our little one has been going to Busy Bees since she was 9 months old, we couldn't be happier with the nursery.
The activities she does, the fun she has, the love she's shown. It honestly is the best nursery for her. She loves going in and gets so excited when we pull up outside.
We are always welcomed
with a hello, no matter what room the staff are from they will always have time for her.
I had a rough start to the year and the staff helped support me and my family as well as keeping things normal for our little one.
Busy Bees Wootton Fields is really a family friendly setting, we love it there and all the staff too.

Sent both my kids here. I dare say they are one of the best in the country. I viewed other nurseries and tried two other outstanding nurseries in the town before Busy Bees Woottonfields. Their facilities and cleanliness are by far the best compared to other places I have seen. Staff are always kind
and helpful. Both my kids have wonderful memories here.

My son has came on leaps and bounds being at this nursery since April 2024, his confidence and development skills have come on tremendously. the staff are loving and caring towards the children and gives every bit of their time, love and care for them.
the environment is very safe and clean for the
children to learn and to play in. My son is very happy to attend everytime and I thoroughly enjoy listening to how much fun he's had during the day and the new things he's learnt since being there!
They are really great at taking their time to inform you about how your child has have been during their day, what they have been doing, so it's a positive feed back from a positive parent :)

A really good nursery. The staff members know my child's needs well. They give personal attention and help her all the time. some of the staff are the best as they prepare a bottle of warm milk before my child leaves the nursery.

Busy Bees Wootton Fields staff have been fantastic with our daughter, especially since having our second baby in December. They supported our daughter in prepping for a new sibling, with acting out with toys on how to help and supportively talking about the baby to come and her family now he is here.
They suggested books for this transition but also many others, such as potty training, emotions and differences. We also cannot thank you enough for getting her potty trained alongside many of her friends after two failed attempts at home but I believe having her friends all do it at the same time supported her cracking it this time. As she wanted to be a big girl alongside all of them! I can honestly say our daughter has thrived in the last year in so many developmental leaps and this is down to the knowledge and support you have here at Wootton. Thank you!

We have had a few issues with our childminder which left us short of childcare. We are moving to Wootton next week so spoke to Busy Bees Wootton Fields and they have been excellent, especially the assistance centre director. They have been very speedy in getting us the information we need and very excited
for our son to start officially next week as the facilities look great. So far, have had an excellent experience.

Our son suffered a Febrile Convulsion in November 2023 resulting in a period of time in hospital. We were nervous about re-starting nursery after a number of weeks of absence. However, the team at Wootton was great. They worked with us to settle our anxieties and put a plan in place to check our son
and his temperature. They communicated well with us via calls, pictures, and notes, which enabled us to feel relieved and confident he was well looked after.
Following through to now (08/25) the staff are still as diligent as they were then. We feel confident that our son is settled and thriving. Thank you.

Our child has been going here for around 8 months now and settled in very nicely. We are very happy with everything as a whole. Our child has built good relationships with the staff in their room. The staff made our child feel very welcome and have been great at keeping us up to date with our child's
progress. We enjoy the app and its regular updates.

My experience at Busy Bees Daycare has truly been wonderful, to say the least. My daughter started her journey in the baby room and is now blossoming. Myself and my husband have had the privilege to have an amazing team of staff taking care of our daughter's every need and teaching her little life lessons
as she explores her way through different activities set up for the day. We are very appreciative all the hard work, care and attention which goes into planning parent and child events as well as the daily needs and activities set up for the children. I would most definitely recommend this wonderful safe place for any parents with small children. Thank you.

Had a couple of issues at the start but one of the centre directors went above and beyond to rectify things for us and we have become so comfortable and happy with how my daughter is coming along there. Sending your child to nursery is difficult and nerve-racking for any parent but seeing how well she
is doing has taken all that anxiety away. The centre directors have always been very patient and helpful with any queries we have had and every staff member we have found has been very pleasant. My daughter loves her time there and we can really see how her positive experiences at the nursery are reflected in how she is at home. We have now increased her sessions as she loves it so much and plan to increase further over the next few months as we are so pleased with her progress.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.697)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.697) out of 10 for Busy Bees Wootton Fields is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.697 for Busy Bees Wootton Fields is calculated as follows: ( (224 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 284 Ratings = 4.697
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Wootton Fields is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 104 number of registered child places is 20.8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
