Children 1st The Marina Nursery School

Very convenient location for working in town. Fantastic staff that couldn't care more for my child and I feel their educational values align closely with those that we try and teach and instill at home. Thank you!

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old (she’ll be 4 this year). She has loved every minute of it from the first class and key worker to where she is now. I feel comfortable leaving her knowing that she will have a great day. The food is freshly made, she eats better there than at home! She has a bond with her current key workers. She has a cuddle when she needs one, they let her attend dressed as her favourite princess when she was struggling to find her confidence and they even do her hair. Even though we’ve moved home and it would be more convenient to put her in the nursery closer to us, I haven’t moved her as she loves it so much. Thanks all!

Our son has been attending Children 1st since he turned a year old. The key workers were great at settling him in, and he absolutely loves attending nursery! They keep us continuously updated at pick up and we feel like they have really put in the effort to get to know each child. They have worked so well at meeting his needs and encouraging him with different milestones. The baby room is just amazing and we couldn’t thank them enough!

I am so pleased with the wonderful care the manager and her team provide for my child. One staff member in particular has also been very kind and loving with him. We are blessed to have such a facility here in Lincoln. Can’t say enough good things!

Honestly, couldn’t recommend this nursery more, my little boy has come on so much in his time at Children 1st The Marina. The staff are exceptional with the children, they genuinely care for each child (and their families). The reception staff and management know each child’s name, the room staff know every detail of what the children do each day, as a parent I get so much enjoyment to hear about my child’s day at handover. I’ve already sent a compliment to management and would happily say I can recommend this nursery to anyone!

When my 2 year old started at this nursery, he was really struggling with his speech. With support and encouragement from staff and some 1:1 time (especially with his keyworker), he has made amazing progress. He loves attending and always seems happy before and after his sessions.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was one year old, she has gone through all the classrooms and has been given so much attention and has been pushed to become such a clever and well-rounded child ready for her next step in education. As a parent, I am very grateful to all of the teachers that my daughter has had throughout the years and for everything they have done for her.

My child has been here for two years now and loves it here. The setting is brilliant and, above all else, the staff are absolutely amazing. It has helped massively with my child's development and I feel that by being here, it has put him in good stead for when he starts full time school. Highly recommended.

Our son recently started here at 6 months and we’ve been so impressed with how quickly he has settled in. He always has a big smile on his face when we drop him off and he absolutely loves his days at nursery. All the staff are extremely friendly, approachable and take a genuine interest in encouraging his development. I can’t recommend this nursery enough.

The staff are very friendly and it’s a great environment. The observations are very helpful and informative. The communication portal works really well and it is easy to communicate with the school. The variety in play is very engaging for children.

We have had such a positive experience sending our little one to Children 1st @ The Marina Day Nursery, they take such good care of her and really support her development journey! The communication we receive is clear and regular and the staff are so passionate about the care they deliver.

My daughter has just started at Children 1st @ The Marina Day Nursery, it's only her second week but she seems to have quickly settled into nursery life. I chose this nursery due to the location and the recommendations of other families. From what I've seen, the children have a really good quality of care.

My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds and always has lots of fun, there are always lots of fun activities to choose from and the nursery staff have been very accommodating with my daughter's vegetarian diet, making sure she always has similar options so she doesn’t feel left out. The communication is very good and I am always kept in the loop.

We have been using this nursery since 2019, when my little boy started at 9 months and now my little girl is in her second year there and loves it. The staff are so kind and loving and I never worry, for one minute, about leaving my children, even on their first day when they were tiny. Every day when I pick my little girl up, she’s always happily playing with her friends and the staff and they also tell me about all the fun activities she’s been doing. Would highly recommend to everyone looking for childcare.

My son has been attending this nursery since he was a year old and is still going there at nearly 4. He loves going to nursery and happily runs in every day. He has so much fun and there are lots of activities and free play opportunities for him. They have also been great at catering to his dietary requirements. The staff have really helped his development and helped him to be more independent with building his confidence in doing tasks for himself. The staff are all lovely and friendly. You can tell they really care and enjoy what they do. We looked around a potential primary school recently and he seemed so ready and happy to start and I really think his experience at nursery has set him up well for starting school.

My son has been going to the nursery for over 6-months and always has a huge smile on his face when we arrive. The staff are welcoming, caring and great at communicating with parents. We enjoy reading his logbook and seeing photos of what he's been up to during the day.

I was a little sceptical about sending my little girl to nursery, especially as we didn’t get a chance to look around the nursery in person due to Covid. However, my little girl loves being there. She settled in really well and she loves the staff. When I drop her off the staff are so happy to see her and she’s happy to see them. When she is collected in the evening the staff always provide me with lots of detail about how she ate and what she’s been up to, which is really reassuring. We get photos and a daily log so we know what she has eaten and done that day, including how much she sleeps. I can highly recommend this nursery.

The nursery is high quality and so clean. I have a happy son gaining independence, learning so much, and they really support him and help him. Thank you so much.
