Whitwick Day Nursery and Preschool is rated Good by Ofsted (August 2023) and offers high-quality Early Years education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Located in a beautifully refurbished former primary school, the nursery features four well-resourced playrooms, a sensory room, and a large outdoor area complete with climbing frames, a mud kitchen and a growing garden.

With over 150 years of combined Early Years experience, the passionate and knowledgeable team deliver child-centred care and learning in a warm and friendly setting. A dedicated on-site chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily.

My daughter has been at Whitwick Day Nursery for the past 2 years and has been in 3 rooms at the nursery as she has developed. Each room, environment and staff member is tailored to the developmental and emotional needs of the child and age group promoting a stimulating environment for growth. My daughter
looks forward to going to nursery and brings home the songs, stories and themes they practice in the day. She has been involved in Kimbles and Creatures corner and loves the outdoor play area with a park, bikes, sandpits and mud kitchens. She is always well stimulated, happy and well looked after and management keeps me well updated on her progress. I would highly recommend this setting to other parents.

My son enjoys his mornings at nursery and I feel it has really helped his development. The staff are very friendly and supportive, they have made him go from not wanting to leave my side to being confident and happy to join in and play with other children. It's also great seeing what he has been up

My Son loves going to this Nursery, quite often not wanting to come home! I do feel some members of staff could be more friendly with a smile on their face, however, most are lovely and very welcoming to my Son and I. Certain members of management are less approachable than others. I have been sent
an incorrect invoice in the past through an error in management and was then chased for payment which I didn't find professional and received no apology for.
Overall, an excellent Nursery with lovely staff especially in my son's current room and we especially love the Tapestry emails so we can see what our son gets up to daily. Would recommend to all friends and family should they be on the lookout for a Nursey.

Staff at Whitwick nursery are all lovely and all happy to help. Girls love it and settled in very quickly. Fussy eaters but have now started trying more foods from being at nursery. We only do one afternoon a week but always look forward to going.

A lovely nursery that treats you as if you were family. My son loves it there, has been settled since day one. They can’t do enough for you and if you ask they always help where they can. My son has a lovely bond with a member of the team and always runs into nursery to give her a big cuddle.
They
always take part in activities such as world book day, Halloween parties and dress as a pirate day. It’s just a very warm and happy place.

My child loves attending pre-school. I know she is happy and well looked after and already has a special bond with her key-worker who she talks about all the time. They plan daily activities, which help my child move forwards and know her really well. I am confident that she is very well cared for.

I am always singing the praises of Whitwick Day Nursery. I love the setting and the staff, everyone is so friendly and always have time to say hello. I really like that they are so focused on getting the kids playing outside but just as much on teaching them. When my daughter first started, she was
so shy and couldn't speak properly at all, the staff have really brought her out of herself. She is now the most confident and happy and intelligent child. We have been through a few rough patches with her behaviour but the nursery staff have always helped us work through it.

Whitwick is a lovely nursery. My eldest went here nine years ago and my youngest goes now. Many of the same staff still work there which is always a sign of a good place. My daughter loves going and I feel happy that she is in safe hands. I would and have recommended this nursery to anyone.

My son absolutely loves going to this nursery, his confidence has grown so much in the past few months, that is definitely down to this nursery and the staff at the nursery.
It’s such a pleasure dropping my son off and picking him up, the staff are so polite and are very keen to tell me about my sons
day.
I am dreading him going to school in September, as I know he will deeply miss everyone at this nursery.
I would definitely recommend anyone to put their children in here.

I have used this nursery for two years with both of my children and I have always been impressed by them. They helped my daughter immensely when she arrived in the preschool room - helping her to settle and I watched her confidence bloom and her development leaps were huge. For my son, the nursery is
his second home! He loves it and I put it down to the loving and professional care he is given - always. I get daily updates, I get to se3 what he is up to through tapestry (which is amazing!!). I know they have his best interests at heart and will help him develop right through to pre-school.
