Our son attends the nursery 2 days a week and from the 1st visit, we knew it was the best place for him. The staff can't do enough for us and for him, they always answer any questions and provide us with current feedback throughout the day. Would 100% recommend it.

We couldn't be happier with the care and learning provided and the amazing facilities this nursery has given our daughter. She started in October at 18 months old and she loves it. We are regularly updated with her progress and photos throughout the day. The food provided is top quality with so much
variety. They keep active with their own sports hall and soft play and outside areas and often go on trips into town and to the park. We viewed several in the area before choosing Marlborough and it stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Highly recommend. Staff are attentive and kind and she loves every one of them.

Our little girl started at Marlborough Day Nursery in September and she has absolutely loved it. She has progressed so much already, has a new found confidence and genuinely loves to go. As an anxious Mum, I feel they are so reassuring and easy to talk to and ask questions. Everything is well organised,
structured and kept to the highest standard. We couldn't be happier with the care that they provide to our daughter.

My son has been attending the Nursery for over 12 months and is currently in Baby 2.
The nursery experience to date has been all positive.
The key for me is the staff- they are all incredibly positive, and supportive and have a culture of caring.
I will not call out any individuals as it is a team
ethos which shines through with each person being friendly and caring.
Thank you to a great team.

My son has been attending the nursery for seven months now and we are more than pleased with his development. He has learnt so many new things. staff has always supported him reaching milestones and communicated well with both me and my husband about any matters. The nursery offers a variety of activities,
is well-resourced offering both indoor and outdoor spaces to all children irrespective of age. Food is excellent and cooked at the nursery. Overall we are happy with everything so far.

I was super nervous about sending my 7 month old to nursery. However, I can say from the bottom of my heart that I am so confident in this nursery. The ladies in baby room one have always been so supportive and really do listen and follow a home routine. From day one I’ve really felt I can trust each
and every one of you with my little one, which is so hard to find. You treat her like she’s your family and that is truly amazing care and I always feel she is in safe hands. I love the fact we get updates so much and lots of pictures which makes me feel at ease leaving her. The office staff are always lovely and greet me with a smile. Nothing is ever too much to ask and they are so accommodating it’s unreal. You should be so so proud of all your staff and the service you provide is second to none. Thank you so much and I look forward to my little one growing within your nursery!

Just would like to say a massive thank you to all the fantastic staff at Marlborough Day Nursery. Very efficient reception team that I would especially like to thank! We are very pleased with our decision to enrol our beloved son into Marlborough Day Nursery in May! We have noticed a tremendous confidence
increase in things where our son was a little hesitant. For example, he started walking on his own and usually, it takes a while for them to walk with confidence on their own but we do believe with the nursery's help and us working with him at home showed that we are a team and have our boy's best interest at heart. We are very pleased that he makes friends and is growing his social environment and learning how to share with his friends. We do appreciate each and every staff member for helping our son explore new things and contributing to his development. We are very pleased to see how well he has adjusted to the nursery!
Reply from Lisa Mayes, Officer in Charge at Marlborough Day NurseryThank you for such a lovely review! We were so chuffed to receive it. Seeing a child grow and develop in their confidence is so rewarding and we

My son has been going here for three months now and I feel really happy with the care he is given whilst at nursery. They keep me informed on what he’s been doing that day along with eating, sleeping and changes. The staff are always lovely and feedback in person on collection. Highly recommend to anyone
looking for a nursery. Having multiple rooms/areas of play is a big bonus.

Teachers are supporting our little ones. The nursery is clean, food is good. They have few activities on special days, outside playground, very easy to communicate with staff. It's a place where our kids are learning new things in a kind and safe manner. I'm happy to choose this nursery for both of
my kids.

My child has come on so far since starting nursery back in May 2022, he is very comfortable with staff members and is coming on a great deal with his talking and socialising.
The staff are always keen to help and are always going above and beyond. Throughout the day they are always putting on lovely
bits and bobs to the app so we are able to see what he is getting up to. I know my baby is well looked after and I have great trust in what they do with him!
My child has some food allergies which the nursery quickly accommodated too and made sure he was getting all the right foods.
There are so many parts of the nursery he gets to explore which enable him to develop physically and mentally.

I have found Marlborough Day Nursery excellent in all aspects, the communication from staff is second to none. I am always updated via the app on what both my children have been doing throughout the day, via group posts or observations, the photos attached really show the work effect of the staff team
in both their rooms, showing what activities they have taken part in, the creativeness of the staff is brilliant and gives my children the best possible opportunities to learn and develop. If I have anything relating to my children I need to pass over, I'm confident that this will get taken on board and followed through. The best part is seeing my children happy and enjoying what they are doing.

The most amazing nursery in Coalville, in my opinion. Staff are ever so helpful, kind and caring and to see the difference between, when my little one started and now, is extraordinary. The app that Marlborough Nursery uses lets me see what my little one's day is like in writing and in pictures or video,
what he had to eat, what activities he'd done and they even have accident reports included, which is so great because I'm never surprised when I pick him up. My little one loves going there every morning and doesn't stop talking about nursery all day, he even sings about it.
Worth every penny. Thank you, ladies, you're one of a kind.

Our daughter has had 3 key people since starting at Marlborough Day and we have felt that each key person has genuine care for her and are invested in her development. They have always been open to chats when we need them or we need a behaviour addressing etc. The kitchen staff were very accommodating
when we needed to restrict/remove certain food items from our daughter's diet for intolerance testing and all changes were logged on the parent app which is a great tool! Management are also so friendly and helpful whenever we have a query or just need a chat about something. Every member of staff we encounter during pick ups and drop offs are always so friendly and will always greet you and your child (whether they directly deal your child or not). Having their days documented on the app and seeing pictures of the kids having fun and learning makes me sure that we chose the right setting for our daughter. She is developing so well. I particularly appreciate the clear visibility of the monthly curriculum.

My son started nursery this year and the transition for both of us was difficult. He was nine months old and I'd been with him quite literally 24/7 since he was born. Marlborough Day Nursery have been fantastic with the both of us: communicating with me during the day and the updates that I get via
the parent app are consistent and detailed which helps put my mind at ease.
My son loves it so much there: there's a clear variety in activities and I've watched his motor skills develop at an incredible rate considering they give him so many chances to develop and grow. He's happy to go to the staff who are always clearly delighted to see him and I feel that he's in a safe, warm environment.
The food is good quality and varied enough that my son's getting a chance to explore new tastes and textures as he continues to wean and learn about healthy food which helps the home journey too. Marlborough Day Nursery is the best place to give him the best start in life: I'm glad I chose to send him here.

Absolutely brilliant nursery! Joined with my 1 year old after leaving a different nursery that wasn't a good fit for us.
All the team at Marlborough have really exceeded expectations in supporting our son and his specific needs, taking care of his own development path and working hard on it every day.
It's very clear how all staff really cares about the babies, they are great professionals and very attentive and supportive, it feels a big family.
Also nursery facilities are absolutely amazing, always something different to stimulate babies and kids and support their learning.
Communication with staff is also amazing and constant, making it really easy to follow what happens every day.
The menu has a great variety of food and the team have supported our young baby with a variety of textures and bespoke adjustments too.
We are so happy about it, special thanks to the team in Baby Room.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.788)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.788) out of 10 for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.980 for Marlborough Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (247 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 252 Ratings = 4.98
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.808 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 130 number of registered child places is 26. 21 Positive Reviews ÷ 26 = 0.808
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Currently I'm situated in our Baby 1 room, which I absolutely adore, supporting our babies at a pivotal point in their journey. I lead a passionate and dedicated team, and together we work hard to achieve excellence for our babies.

| have over 33 years’ experience in childcare and started at Marlborough Day Nursery on its first day of opening in 1990. I have worked as the nursery manager for many years until deciding to reduce my hours due to family commitments, and at this point I took on the role as administrator. My strengths lie with helping parents with funding. Marlborough Day Nursery is very much a family business and I am proud to be part of its journey.
