My son has only been attending Marlborough Day Nursery for just over one month and I am already so amazed at how well and quickly he settled in, especially since he spent the first year of his life with just me! The girls all treat him as if he was part of their family, the care and attention is impeccable
and I get to go to work without feeling any extra worry about leaving my child. The girls are always keeping in contact with us and there are plenty of pictures and updates about what my child has been doing during the day, which is always really nice to see and hear. They don't rush you out of the door and are always very attentive if you're having any issues. My son absolutely loves it and he shows me this every morning when he puts his arms out to the girls to take him from me. I would 100% recommend this setting if you are looking for a reliable, caring, nurturing, friendly and attentive placement for your precious children.

Both my children attend Marlborough nursery and I couldn’t recommend them enough! My daughter has been attending for 1 year now, after having to pull her out of another nursery. Myself and my husband are so happy at the way she settled and has developed and continues to be constantly stimulated in such
a fresh exciting environment. My son also attends which he only started two weeks ago, his speech has come on no end, he has made a lot of bonds already and he is so excited to tell me what he’s done daily! All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We couldn’t possibly ask for anything more at Marlborough, we’re very happy and both our children are extremely happy here also.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was just 12 weeks (now 3 1/2) and it’s been an amazing 3 years. They have helped with her development massively including toilet training. The team in all rooms we have come across have been fantastic especially one lady who my daughter absolutely
adores. Clean, great meals, very creative and informative. Would 100% recommend. Thank you Marlborough Day Nursery.

I feel 100% confident in leaving my child at Marlborough as I know she is in good hands, the environment is safe, clean and a joy to be in. I am always updated with my daughters development with things she has achieved and next steps, I would definitely recommend Marlborough day nursery.

My eldest attended Marlborough, he loved it! He started September 2012-2016 then he left for school. My youngest started 2015-present. She loves it too. We’ve had a few issues with my daughter's behaviour but the staff have stood by and helped improve it. They work as a team and that really reflects
at the nursery. Friendly but professional staff, trustworthy, reliable, honest and welcoming. The nursery is a safe, fun and clean environment.

I chose Marlborough Day Nursery to care for my daughter and then my son, because of its excellent reputation; friends and family had previously used it, and it’s practically been going for years, that’s got to say something, right! The nursery itself absolutely blew me away, it by far exceeded my expectations.
The staff are very knowledgeable and professional, everywhere seems extremely well organised, not to mention spotlessly clean and ultimately my children were very settled, happy and well cared for!!

The facilities are amazing; the younger group rooms are small and homely, yet they have additional spaces for the children to explore, like sensory and soft play rooms. The indoor play theatre is a huge asset and what they lack on outdoor space, it is definitely made up for in here. There is a dedicated bike track with bikes and scooters, PE equipment, climbing apparatus and smaller play equipment.

My daughter has recently re joined Marlborough, and is settling in well in the new pre school 2 room, their facilities are fantastic, with everything accounted for including role play, messy play, reading and songs, outdoor space and maths sections. Their personal touches that they have also added
to help settle in the children have helped wonders.

The staff are brilliant in the room and office, they take their time to speak to you if needed, helping to settle the children and the parents into there new routines. My daughter always comes out happy, telling me about her day full of activities and the friends she has made. I’d definitely recommend to other parents.

I would highly recommend Marlborough Day Nursery, I have been using Marlborough Day Nursery for the past 12 years now. The facility is outstanding and the staff are truly amazing. All three of my children absolutely love it there and my eldest two wish they were back there. I will be very sad when my
daughter has to leave next year for school because I cannot imagine not having to use the nursery again. Me and my children love everything about Marlborough Day Nursery.

I have never been so reassured to leave my child with Malborough day nursery. They are all so helpful, friendly, kind, loving and professional. Whatever problem we have had. They have reassured me. Every new phase she moves into, they have adapted to encourage her to bring her on emotionally and her
skills. My daughter started to have an allergy with dairy. Once we brought it up they changed her menu to accommodate. I'll be really sad for her to leave to start school, as I am when she leaves a room to move up to the next. Thank you for everything.

After moving our son to Marlborough Day Nursery from a local failing nursery (which then got shut down by Ofsted) we could not believe the difference.
Every single aspect was a million times better than we had been used to at the previous nursery.
Our son really looks forward to coming to nursery
and he has made some lovely friends with both other children and also staff. All staff are brilliant, know who everybody is and genuinely want the best for the children whereas at the previous nursery it was clear that some people were just in a 'job'! Our son loves telling us the adventures he has been on and what he has done with the other children. The nursery teaches respect and that is so important to us as a family. We have since moved house meaning that to take our son to the nursery is a 20 minute round trip where we could have a nursery in the village we live and work but we couldn't ask for any better than Marlborough and any more children we have will go there too.
Highly recommend!

My son has recently started here at Foundation level after moving from a nursery in a different area. I am impressed with this nursery, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and helped my son settle in quickly. He loves his routine including wearing his slippers and picking his own breakfast, and
has already learned so much. He surprised me last week when he started counting in Spanish, a skill he has solely picked up from this nursery, which is fantastic as he has only been there 2 weeks! The layout of the setting is also very good. It feels clean and welcoming, and I am pleased to have picked Marlborough Day Nursery for my son and would highly recommend it.

My daughter previously had an unpleasant nursery experience at another establishment, I was really worried about her settling in at Marlborough and expressed my concerns. From her very first settling in session my daughter was so well cared for. All the girls at Marlborough have been genuinely caring
and attentive toward her and she now talks about nursery in a positive way. I'd have no hesitation recommending Marlborough Day Nursery to friends and family. It's truly fabulous!

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.788) out of 10 for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.980 for Marlborough Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (247 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 252 Ratings = 4.98
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.808 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 130 number of registered child places is 26. 21 Positive Reviews ÷ 26 = 0.808
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I began my early years career in 1999, starting with the company as a trainee straight out of school!
