We are super happy with our experience with Marlborough Day Nursery! Our little boy has now attended for a year, and loves attending his sessions. The staff who have cared for him so far in both Baby Rooms have communicated well, shown enthusiasm and create a nurturing environment for him as well as
the other babies. The structure and routine of the nursery as helped him progress developmentally, exploring so many fun and exciting activities, as well as trying lots of different and nutritional foods. His speech has developed so well over the last few months and he clear benefits from the extra physical rooms Marlborough has to offer.
Reply from Lisa Mayes, Officer in Charge at Marlborough Day NurseryThank you for such a lovely review. We are so pleased that you feel your son has thrived over the past year. It's a pleasure to have him in our baby rooms!

This nursery is nothing short of brilliant, all of the staff are so lovely.
My little boy had a difficult time settling in when he first started but nothing was too much trouble and all the staff including management were excellent. The communication is brilliant and we are updated daily with what
he has been doing that day.

All the staff that have worked with my child have been nothing short of brilliant.
He hasn't been the easiest baby so I knew transitioning into nursery might be tricky.
The communication from staff to myself is exactly what I was hoping for, they are precise and informative.
I was so nervous about
this new chapter for my child but he just loves nursery, he is really coming out of his shell and constantly learning new things.
The care and patience the staff show is excellent, the activities are varied and the food is wonderful (most days he eats everything)
The managment staff have been so patient with me too as I navigate payments and timetables for the first time.
I am so glad we chose Marlborough Day, we made the best decision for our child by doing so
Reply from Lisa Mayes, Officer in Charge at Marlborough Day NurseryThank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are so pleased to hear your son is thriving and that our team could support you both through this transition. We love having him with us at Marlborough Day Nursery

I am very happy with this nursery. My little boy currently attends and he comes home happy and comfortable with the activities and the environment at the nursery. My daughter also attended this nursery before, and our experience was just as positive.
The staff are very attentive, patient, and dedicated,
and the children feel safe and cared for. The activities are educational and creative, helping the children develop and learn through play.
You can see that the teachers put a lot of heart into what they do and they communicate very well with parents. The environment is clean, organized, and friendly for children. I highly recommend this nursery to any parents who want a safe and lovely place for their children to grow and develop.

Eryn has come on leaps and bounds since attending Marlborough Day Nursery. The facilities are superb, offering a great support to all the children's' dietary requirements, a newly refurbished play hall, sensory support, and on a personal note - Eryns language is so well developed having Marlborough's
support for the 2 full days that she attends. Evie and her team in Toddler One work so hard to promotes Eryn's creativity, physical and language skills, which we (her parents) love.

The office staff are sensitive and friendly when attending to any topics parents need to address, from current child/parent challenges to ongoing/changes in mediation and the support children need.
Marlborough Day nursery has been a huge support for the flexible structure it provides on site and to us at home, with all the additional activities they offer us to be a part of too-activity bags to take home, raffles and dress up days for the children. WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY PAID!

Every single morning my daughter wakes up and asks, "Am I going to nursery today?" - even on weekends! That alone says everything.
She adores her nursery. She loves the environment, the activities, her friends, and especially the incredible staff who make her feel so loved, safe, and happy.
It truly feels like her second home.
Seeing how excited she is to go every day gives me complete peace of mind as a parent. Choosing this nursery was one of the best decisions we've ever made, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you for making my child so happy!

The lovely ladies running Marlborough Day Nursery are so creative, thoughtful kind, they have made our daughters experience a dream. Their facilities are very good, lots of creative learning, a hall for physical
activities and events, sensory support and their kitchen provides a great variety and supports dietary needs. I can't recommend them enough, we are thrilled with our daughters experience.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. It is such a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment, and it's clear how much care and thought goes into everything they do. The staff are always polite, professional, and genuinely interested in each child as an individual. My son absolutely loves coming here,
which says more than anything.
One thing we truly appreciate is how respectful and inclusive the nursery is of all religions, cultures, and backgrounds. They always check with us first before involving him in activities that aren't Islamic, such as Christmas celebrations, and they happily provide alternative options so he never feels left out. The same care is shown with food choices-if there is anything we prefer him not to have, they accommodate this without any issue.
It really feels like a partnership with the parents, and we are always listened to and respected. Knowing our son is in such safe, caring hands gives us complete peace of mind.

When my children first started at Marlborough Day Nursery, neither of them could speak English. As a parent, this was very scary and emotional for me. I was worried they would feel lost, lonely, or misunderstood.

But from the very beginning, the staff made us feel safe, welcome, and supported. They

showed so much patience, kindness, and understanding. Step by step, my children gained confidence, learned to communicate, and started to feel happy and secure.

Today, I can see how much my son enjoys coming here. He smiles, talks more, and feels confident - and that means everything to me as a mother.

This nursery is not just a place where children are looked after. It is a place where they are truly cared for, encouraged, and helped to grow.

I will always be grateful for everything you have done for my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.985)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.985) out of 10 for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.985 for Marlborough Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (329 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 334 Ratings = 4.985
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marlborough Day Nursery is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 130 number of registered child places is 26, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
