And the learning experience extends outdoors. The generous garden offers dedicated sections for each age group where children can seamlessly explore, play and learn outdoors. You can even keep up to date on your child's progress during their time at Busy Bees through the ‘ParentZone’ app. The enthusiastic staff will provide you with regular updates on your child's learning and development, along with any activities they take part in, ensuring that you never miss a moment.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 7 months old and is now 3 years 3 months. Busy Bees have had a massive impact on my child’s development and I could not thank them enough. The nursery workers know his personality extremely well and are like an extended family.

This is an outstanding nursery with fantastic facilities and wonderful staff.
Our son has been attending Busy Bees Meridian for the past two years. He really enjoys the time he spends here and the impact they have had on his social and emotional development has been exceptional. All of the staff are
friendly and welcoming with both children and parents and obviously love their jobs.

My child has been coming to Busy Bees since she was 10 months old and is now almost 3. She has always loved coming to nursery and I've seen a large improvement in her language and social development. Since she has been in Ladybirds, all the staff are amazing but especially my daughter's key person as
she's formed a very special bond with my child and has helped her development improve a lot since being in Butterflies.

Myself and my husband viewed several nurseries and from the moment we walked in, we knew that Busy Bees at Leicester Meridian was the one.

I was nervous and anxious leaving my 10 month old for the first time and I felt so reassured and comfortable. All the staff at Busy Bees at Leicester Meridian

look interested and take a genuine interest in the little ones. They are always happy to see the children and look enthusiastic.

The staff have always made time to speak to me if I was worried or concerned and the management is approachable and accessible. My daughter is now a thriving two-year-old and loves her days at Busy Bees at Leicester Meridian. They offer a range of activities and parents are constantly updated via the app on the goings on throughout the day. The nursery is clean, bright and welcoming. The menu has lots of variety. I could not ask for more in a nursery! 10/10 from me!

Our children aged 3 years and 19 months have loved their time at this nursery. Both have attended since the age of 11 months. They have both developed significantly during their time here & we believe this has helped them become the confident, happy and sociable children they are.

The facilities

at the nursery are excellent. The building itself is purpose built which provides a fantastic area for the children. The children are split into different age categories which we believe better assists in their development and level of learning and play.

The 3 weekly food menu is amazing. Our children eat like kings, often they eat food at nursery that they refuse to eat at home.

The nursery manager is very approachable and friendly, as are all of the nursery staff. Within each room base the children have been assigned a key person, which both children have formed lovely bonds with.
We are sad to be leaving this nursery but a house move forces it.
We would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has attended Busy Bees at Leicester Meridian since he was 2. He is now 4 and is based in foundation class. Since starting foundation class my son's confidence has increased and his language/communication skills have developed tremendously. He is quick to respond positively to new experiences
and I believe this is because of the experiences he receives in foundation class. These include day trips, French lessons and baking!
The resources they have in foundation class are fantastic and the way the rooms are set up in areas is a great tool to help prepare the children for school. My son particularly likes the science area with the skeleton!
The introduction of the home book is a great tool to share what my son has done at home and what he is learning at nursery. It is a great way to work together and ensure the best outcomes for my son. I would highly recommend the foundation class as they go above and beyond to ensure the children in their care are happy and developing to their full potential.

My son has attended this facility since he was 12 months old, he has recently moved into the foundation preschool class which has exceptional learning facilities. I thought the parents evening with an induction to preschool was a wonderful idea, it gave a great insight into what activities my child
has at his fingertips. The staff at this nursery show such a deep level of care and concern for my child it makes me feel so comforted in the knowledge that he is safe, having fun and learning. I would not hesitate to use this nursery again in future and I always highly recommend.

I honestly cannot thank the staff at Busy Bees Meridian enough, they are absolutely amazing.

My eldest went to this nursery and now my youngest is there and I would not send him anywhere else.

Busy Bees truly is a home from home environment with the friendliest staff.

After recently going

through a life changing event the management team exceeded all expectations with the level of support and assurance they have given me.

Being apart from the most precious gifts in your life can be scary for any parent, but I assure you I know when I leave my little one there I can go to work and not even think about him being okay.

Having my eldest in primary school has really made me appreciate the love, care, and support our children are given at Busy Bees and I wish they were able to offer education past preschool.

Once again I thank the manager and all the staff at Busy Bees Meridian from the bottom of my heart for everything that they have and continue to do.

My daughter started attending this nursery over a year ago, she arrived with a strong speech issue which meant she could not talk or be understood by most people. With the help of the SENCO trained staff and the patient nature of the other staff members, within months she started pronouncing single
words. She now has been taken off Senco as she can form full sentences and can say most words with ease.
The rooms the children play in offer a variety of different activities, allowing them to explore at their own pace whilst learning new skills.
With regarding food, my daughter always seems to eat seconds so I've made the assumption it's pretty decent.

Our boy moved to this nursery and they made him and I feel very welcome. They made sure he settled in well and kept me informed of everything. The staff are amazing, caring and friendly and all are approachable. The building is bright and colourful and the security is fantastic. There is a big garden
outdoor space which is not overlooked by anyone. There is such a variety of toys for the children to play with and there are trips out sometimes which are fantastic. The actual learning side of things is also amazing - they actually want to teach your child things and broaden their knowledge and understanding. The variety of food cooked for them is fantastic and they cater for all needs, and is cooked by professional chefs - my boy always has extra portions as he enjoys the food that much! I have recommended this nursery, and others in the Busy Bees chain, to friends as I have no concerns about my boy's safety, health and wellbeing when he is with them. He is looked after and cared for.

My older daughter has just left nursery (to start school) and my younger daughter is still there. They have both had a lovely experience and have learnt so much especially with eating and table manners. I feel my younger daughter is learning so much and is becoming so confident.

Busy Bees is a great nursery. I have found the staff, particularly the management, have listened to any concerns and used these to further improve the nursery. My child is always engaged in interesting activities at the nursery. (Painting, singing, cooking, arts, crafts etc.) The nursery has assisted
with my plans to toilet train, which helped my son come out of nappies at 17 months! The choice of meals is excellent. Being a vegetarian, I am extremely pleased with the options offered and how well my child eats at the nursery. This is a happy with dedicated staff. It would be nice to see the nursery arranging trips for age 1-3 too as currently I don't think this happens, but the fees increase every year for all age groups, which I think is a little unfair.
Reply from Michaela, Nursery Manager at Busy Bees Leicester MeridianThank you for your review of our Busy Bees nursery at Leicester Meridian Park. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care through highly trained staff, unique learning enhancements and fresh and healthy meals, so that children are given every opportunity to develop and grow in our Outstanding nursery environment, as awarded by Ofsted. Fees are very much based on the cost of living and minimum wage increase, so whilst we appreciate that fee increases are rarely welcome, we are sure that you will understand that this is necessary to support the continued investment in the staff and resources that make this possible.

We are currently looking into trips for 2016 for our 1-3’s which we did discuss at our November staff meeting last week. We work in partnership with parents to understand the individual needs of each and every child and if you have any concerns at all, myself or Sarah would be happy to discuss them with you further.

We are delighted that you and your son are happy at our Busy Bees nursery at Leicester Meridian Park and we thank you for taking the time to review our setting.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.957)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.957) out of 10 for Busy Bees Leicester Meridian is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.957 for Busy Bees Leicester Meridian is calculated as follows: ( (332 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 346 Ratings = 4.957
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Leicester Meridian is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 130 number of registered child places is 26, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
