Thornhill Day Nursery & Pre-school

I really couldn't ask for my child to be cared for any better, there isn't a single thing I would change about the nursery or the staff. In fact, if I win the lottery tonight, I'm stealing you all to travel the world with us to look after the children. My daughter is fed really well, the menu is amazing and she eats really well because of that. Her manners are exceptional and her development is impressive for a 2-year-old. I absolutely give you guys the credit for that so thank you.

Excellent nursery. My daughter has attended for almost a year and she loves going. It made my experience of returning to work much easier, knowing she is happy and well cared for.

My six-month-old son loves it here. He is looked after by the caring staff and loves the food and activities he does each day he is at Thornhill. We would definitely recommend Thornhill Nursery to people who are looking for childcare.

Our daughter has attended the nursery since it opened. All the staff have been amazing and helped her to settle into the new routine. A few months on, she still remains very happy and gets very excited to go every morning. All the staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

My 22-month-old granddaughter started at Thornhill in December and loves it! The staff are kind and caring and she's really come on loads since she's been there. She looks forward to going every morning and the staff send my daughter photos throughout the day so we can see what she's up to. We'd definitely recommend Thornhill Nursery.

My daughter recently started at Thornhill Day Nursery and so far, I am very pleased with the care she is receiving. The staff and management are very passionate about what they do and my daughter really enjoys going each day. The nursery keep you informed on everything from nappy changes to meals and send photos of your child each day through a secure app. I would definitely recommend Thornhill Day Nursery!

This nursery is amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone! My son loves nursery and cannot wait to go everyday. The staff are all amazing and have helped with his speech needs and confidence so much.

I highly recommend Thornhill after removing my son from a previous setting, the manager of Thornhill was extremely accommodating to accept my son and bent over backwards to get this done very swiftly and as smoothly as possible! The team who look after my son are second to none. My son has established a wonderful relationship with all members of the staff, this enabled his transition to Thornhill to be as comfortable as possible. The nursery itself is a fabulously newly refurbished building with excellent facilities. I would strongly recommend Thornhill to anyone that was looking for a nursery setting.

Before my daughter was quite shy, but since going to nursery, she is happier, more agile and more confident in crowds. The nursery is very clean, the toys are very good and wooden, so cute. She loves the teachers at this nursery very much. One month for my daughter to get acquainted with the nursery, with the teacher and friends, I feel very pleased to see that she can explore many games and lessons and become more agile after nursery. My daughter is very happy when she comes to the nursery; she does not feel strange when she comes here. When the teachers pick her up at the door, she automatically reaches out and wants to join the class with the teacher. That made me feel like I had chosen the right school for my little girl. I can feel secure at work; every day I can also see my daughter through the posts of teachers about their children in the parent area. Now, I want to change the session from 1 pm-6 pm to 7.30 am -6 pm. Thank you so much to everyone here. Love all.

My grandson has attended this nursery since it reopened in January. He absolutely loves his time there and the team are always so warm and welcoming when I come to pick him up. He has developed so much since starting at Thornhill Day Nursery & Pre-school and I believe this is due to the experiences he is having and friendships he is forming, that cannot be done in a home environment. Love this nursery, it’s helped my little boy with his confidence so much. All the staff are lovely and welcoming to both me and my son. He always tells me he can’t wait to go to nursery and see his friends. Normally he is shy and has a hard time settling into places, but he settled in straight away at Thornhill Day Nursery & Pre-school. I’m always kept updated throughout the day with pictures, and I am told what he’s got up to while he’s there. This nursery has helped his speech, confidence and made him much happier than he was at his last one. I’d definitely recommend to all parents; this is an amazing nursery!

Our little boy loves this nursery and is always happy to go. He started after the refurbishment. The settling in sessions was brilliant and made me feel confident that he would be happy there. He has lots of new learning and fun experiences. Both the rooms and garden are amazing with all the fun equipment. He has started walking since he started there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We get updates and photos on our phone, so know what he’s up to. The rooms are very clean, and everything feels safe Covid wise as well.

We are delighted with the support and understanding that all the staff at Thornhill have offered during our daughter's settling in sessions. The environment is second to none, fantastic equipment and endless opportunities to learn. We love the 'child-led' mindset that the nursery follows and all of the staff are clearly dedicated to making nursery life safe, exciting and comfortable for the children... and parents! We were really quite worried about our little girl transitioning into nursery life, but the manager and the team did everything that they could to make us feel comfortable with the process. The unlimited settling in sessions allowed our daughter to bond with staff and become familiar with her new environment. I highly recommend Thornhill to anyone looking for 'home-from-home' childcare option.

The best nursery in the area! My little boy started at Thornhill nursery after the refurb, and I can honestly say, it is fantastic. We looked at so many nurseries across the area, but nothing compares. The rooms are incredible, really spacious and calming and the staff make you feel so welcome from the minute you book a visit. I know that my boy is in the best possible care, and I get constant updates and pictures on my phone about his day, which allows me to see all the fun he is having! I was really nervous about my boy starting nursery, especially with the pandemic, but the unlimited settling in sessions and homely, family feel of the nursery soon put our minds at ease. I would recommend this nursery to everyone!

Excellent staff, really helped my children come out of their shell. They’ve been brilliant from the start.

Overall I like this nursery and the way the staff take care of the children. (I have no big experience with other nurseries so have no way to compare). I think the staff are doing the best they can and they're educated in childcare which makes them easy to trust. Also, I feel there is good support for me. I can be near my daughter whilst she is adapting here. I am very thankful for that.

We found this nursery beneficial to our son's development the nursery is organising a lot of different events. The team at the nursery are very helpful and adjust their ways of communication for everyone. We are happy with our child attending this nursery. The nursery reports everyday what activities our child did as well as every new progress our child does.
