Serpentine Nursery School Ltd

My daughter has been attending Serpentine Nursery since September 2020. The nursery is lovely, and the staff who care for her are absolutely fantastic; I cannot praise them enough. I feel they look after her so well; they are always friendly and supportive. My daughter had a cows milk allergy, and they have gone above and beyond to ensure she is catered for. The activities are brilliant, she has learnt so much from them. I love getting updates on the app, seeing what she has been up to; the best part is she always has a smile on her face.

We've been using Serpentine Nursery for over 3 years and would really recommend it. The staff are really caring and our kids love going there. They are always doing fun stuff- playing outside, walks, baking, messy play etc.

Our son needs some extra support with his speech and the staff have been really on the ball with chasing his referral and doing language exercises with him.

Staff are very helpful and understanding; they support you with what you're doing with your child and will continue to do so even when they are in the nursery. My child has continued to develop well here and continues to learn new things at home and at nursery.

I get a big hug when I collect, but when we next arrive, he gives me a big wave ‘bye mummy’, so I know there is not a shadow of a doubt that my little one loves his time at Serpentine.

I would definitely recommend Serpentine. My daughter always has so much fun, and the staff are all really friendly. The staff take time to talk through the child’s day and post pictures/updates for you to see. They seem to genuinely care about the children who attend. The selection of food is also really good.

I remember walking around with my son, and I got a feeling straight away that my son would love it here, and I got the same feeling 2-years on with my daughter. My son had a whale of a time, and my daughter is too.

I'm so glad we picked this preschool for our daughter. The staff have been amazing, always encouraging her and reassuring us. We get regular photo updates of her activities and playing. The outside space is brilliant and includes a mud kitchen, sandpit and a slide. There is lots of opportunity for imaginative play. We have also opted for our daughter to go swimming every week too which is really helpful for our family. Our daughter is 3, we send her 5 mornings per week term time as she gets 15 hours funded and we pay a small top-up fee.

Serpentine Nursery is such a warm and friendly place. From day one of my eldest starting to now where my youngest is in his final year there, I’ve never had a negative thing to say. The staff are so kind and welcoming and have such a good standard of training. My son struggled with his social and emotional development, and the staff at Serpentine put so much in place to meet his needs and we’re brilliant in following his behaviour support plan. He now has overcome a lot of the challenges he faced, and I have the hard work of all the staff to thank for that! I would recommend Serpentine to any parent looking for a nursery where they want their child to be happy, healthy and learn so much in such fun ways! Communication between nursery and parents is brilliant using the app, but they are also always at the end of the phone too, more than willing to help in any way they can.

My little girl came to the nursery at 3-months-old... the staff have been amazing (especially through lockdown). My little girl always is so excited to go to the baby bears and loves the activities. Communication is amazing!

My son missed much of his nursery due to lockdown/Covid, so was a bit late starting. Serpentine couldn't have been more child-focused and reacted positively to his joining.

All the staff have been really caring, welcoming and understanding. The kids get lots of outside play time, which is really important to me. The size of groups and interactions is really comfortable across our whole experience.

My son has been attending Serpentine for just over two years now, and he loves going, which has made everything so much easier as a parent going back to work full time. The staff are very friendly and really look after the children well. The meals are excellent with daily choices for the main meal, which my son can pick as he comes in in the morning. The outdoor play area is fantastic for all ages, and they make good use of the Pavilion Gardens which is opposite. My son has learnt so much from the staff, and his social skills are excellent due to nursery. I would happily recommend Serpentine Nursery to all.

Serpentine is a lovely nursery, from the get-go, they accommodated everything that myself and child needed from a nursery. From day one of my son going, he was instantly at ease as was I, there is excellent parent communication and the daily feedback/online tapestry helps me to feel part of my son's nursery day. The staff listen when you tell them what your child likes/dislikes and from that, I’ve seen that they provide play that sparks an interest with each individual child. The outdoor play area they have is amazing, no other nursery in Buxton compares, highly recommended.

I have been using Serpentine Nursery for the last 3 years and regularly recommend them. The boys are never bored. The staff manage to think of all different sorts of activities both in and outdoor. The boys love nothing more than being outside come rain or shine and the staff fully embrace that too. The online system is fabulous as the staff upload photographs and videos of the things they have been up to. This is lovely as a parent to be able to see what they have been busy doing. It is always nice to know the boys have had a good hot meal at lunchtime, they enjoy a mix of meals on a rolling menu. I would 100% recommend, my boys have thrived and I put this down to the love and effort all of the staff put in!

I highly recommend Serpentine Nursery. All members of staff are friendly and professional. My children are so happy and settled here. The ladies have a genuine interest in the children and make them feel loved and cared for. The ladies are amazing at working with parents, offering guidance and support, if the parents ask. The children are involved in all types of activities and the ladies are very happy to incorporate new interests the children have. I am so glad that I chose Serpentine Nursery for my children.

The range of meals and snacks provided are excellent and they cater well for additional dietary requirements. I would definitely recommend this nursery to any of my friends or families children.

Serpentine Nursery has a committed staff team who are well trained, know their jobs and are friendly and professional with parents and children. There is continual review and development of facilities and activities. The theming goes across many developmental areas and the atmosphere is one of happy, stimulated children. Communication from the nursery to parents is excellent and they are always open to discussion. Given the increasing funding constraints on this sector, what they offer is first-rate and we are very happy with it.
