The Cottage Day Nursery Heanor

The staff are amazing, very friendly and engaging. My child loves to attend and talks about nursery all the time.

The outdoor space is great! My childs social and learning skills have developed no end.

Our little one has been at the cottage since he was 18 months old and loves it!! He runs up the drive and into nursery excitedly each session. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Like an extended family giving a caring social setting ensuring kids are ready for the next big step. Also communication is great and if needing to add extra days / swap always been as helpful as possible.

Our youngest attends The Cottage now and he is absolutely thriving, staff know him well, communicate with us about his progress and he always has fun at nursery. The extra activities such as library visits, community walks and watching eggs hatch into chicks are all fantastic additions to what's on offer day to day. We couldn't recommend The Cottage at Heanor any more!

My child has been at cottage day nursery for some time now. They provide such an enjoyable and secure environment for children. My child has developed immensely, being in a social and encouraging space. As a worrying parent they put me at ease with how they deal with situations or with a request I have. All the ladies are so welcoming and friendly. Such a fantastic place for a developing child

We have been using this nursery since September 2024. My daughter has really come on since attending nursery, is saying more and more words and phrases, doing signs to different nursery rhymes and eating really well.

They do send occasional pictures to let you know what your child has been doing throughout the day.

If circumstances change and your child needs anything extra doing during the day they are brilliant at making sure medication or cream is applied which really eases your mind during a long day at work.

I would 100% recommend The Cottage in Heanor.

The opening and closing time is perfect for my work schedule.

Amazing nursery, I feel totally at ease leaving my little girl here, she absolutely loves it too! She always tells me how excited she is to go. All the staff are lovely and have really helped develop my little one :)

This nursery is by far the best one I've personally took my child too, and will take my future kids to aswell. My daughter always comes back with a massive smile on her face, and tells us all the activities she has done. They use an app which informs the parents on whats going off, such as activities, nap times and also incident reports which is really great! This puts your mind at ease when they are there. Could not recommend this enough.

My son always enters nursery excitedly and loves going and has a lovely bond with his keyworker. Also pretty sure my son's favourite person is the nursery manager as he looks for her as soon as we get to nursery and gives her the biggest smile!

My little boy loves going to nursery, holding his arms out to the nursery nurses in the morning. He loves the messy play and time outside! I have had no concerns since he started and it's lovely to watch him grow in confidence as he explores different areas at nursery. He also enjoys the added activities such as boogy beats.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. I have sent all of my children to this nursery and they have been looked after so well. My children have all developed so well here too. The staff are great, they have great communication, updating you all the time throughout the day how your child is. They also follow everything that you ask of them and want the very best for your children. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has been attending The Cottage since October 2023. He is thriving in all areas, and the confidence he now has within the community, I strongly believe is due to the work and efforts all the staff put into all the children. All his needs are met, and the app allows us to have the communication required throughout his days at nursery. He works closely with his key worker who encourages nursery-home play. Bringing sensory and heuristic boxes home for us to engage and understand some of the activities they do. The nursery is clean and well-presented and has a really homely feel to it. I can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to continue to watch my boy flourish here.

Fantastic nursery. Very friendly and professional staff. My babe loves attending, and she has developed so much since starting at the nursery. Her confidence is shining thanks to the team, and I love the fact I'm updated throughout her week. Would highly recommend it and would love to thank all staff involved for the care and love given.

I'd recommend the nursery to anyone; we're so glad that we picked it, we'll be sad when we get to the time to leave and start school.

Both my children have attended The Cottage, and I couldn’t be happier with their time and care for both of them. The staff are always friendly and approachable, keep you informed about their daily activities via the app, and I am always picking up happy children at the end of the day. There are always new engaging activities each day, which have helped bring on their verbal and physical development. Meals are made fresh and have a wide variety to offer.
