Amazing staff and an amazing nursery! Would highly recommend it to any parent! My son has come on so much since attending The Cottage at Heanor. Each day is different for him, and he loves going to this nursery! Thank you.

Both my children have attended the nursery, and I have always been extremely happy with the care they have received. Management and all staff have always been very approachable, but at the same time very easy to talk to.

My daughter’s experience at The Cottage has been fabulous. She always speaks about the staff and care in glowing terms and has made a wonderful group of friends during her time at the nursery.

My daughter’s experience at The Cottage has been fabulous. She always speaks about the staff and care in glowing terms and has made a wonderful group of friends during her time at the nursery. She’s become a confident, independent young girl at The Cottage, and is developing new skills and words all the time. She also thoroughly enjoys the enrichment activities, which include visits to the local care home, library and parks, and visits from the chicks at Easter.
The communication from the nursery is also excellent. We receive regular updates on what she’s doing, what activities are taking place, and if there’s an accident.

We love the nursery. All the staff are very nice and caring. Our son seems to enjoy being there, has lovely friends, and overall, there usually is a nice and relaxed atmosphere. We love the nursery. All the staff are very nice and caring. Our son seems to enjoy being there, has lovely friends, and overall, there usually is a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The garden is good (although some real grass would be nice) and the kids can (and do) enjoy it daily. The opening times are very convenient, there is even a drop-off shed for pushchairs.

All the staff are really lovely! My little boy is going here for a year now. The food must be delicious as he eats great. He can also have his nap in peace and quiet. Developing and learning a lot, so thank you for your hard work! .

We have been with The Cottage Day Nursery for just over 18 months now, and can hand on heart say this was the best decision we ever made for our little one. Not only are they professional, but they have such a high standard throughout the establishment, and this is shown through every interaction...
We have been with The Cottage Day Nursery for just over 18 months now, and can hand on heart say this was the best decision we ever made for our little one. Not only are they professional, but they have such a high standard throughout the establishment, and this is shown through every interaction we have ever had with them. They are super skilled and have a great level of knowledge and understanding when it comes to helping us raise our children and encourage them to be the best version of themself. The staff at The Cottage have also been incredibly supportive when it comes to looking after our little one who has some additional developmental needs and pointing us and supporting us in accessing additional support. The staff here are simply amazing, and no amount of words will ever be able to explain the gratitude I have for all those involved in our little ones' care.

My name is Bridget, and I have worked at The Cottage since we opened in 2001, but I worked in childcare previously to this also.
My favourite part of my role has been watching the nursery grow and develop into what it is today. We are extremely lucky to have such hands-on proprietors and a maintenance team on call, allowing us to constantly reinvest into our outstanding provision and maintain the highest of standards. We have an incredibly dedicated staff team who really value the provision but also each and every child and family in their care.
I really look forward to welcoming prospective parents into the setting, where you can really get a feel for the home-from-home environment we provide.
