Children 1st Clowne Nursery School

The staff at Children 1st @ Clowne are outstanding. My 18 month old loves going to nursery, and I feel he has come on in leaps and bounds since he started 6 months ago. Communication has massively improved in the last couple of months with the new app - the updates are massively appreciated! We are very happy with the facilities and it is clear the management have the children's' best interests at heart.

Children's 1st is a lovely nursery with lovely members of staff. My son settled right in and absolutely loves his days at nursery, they're full of fun activities and toys that he loves to play with and has lots of fun outdoors. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

We've had a really positive experience with the nursery overall. The staff in the Benjamin Bunny room are so caring and kind. Our little one has made lovely progress since joining. The only small area for improvement would be keeping the app updates a bit more consistently especially as we're in the middle of potty training, sometimes there are small gaps in the information. Otherwise, we're very happy and grateful our son has a place.

My daughter has been going here for the past 2 years, she absolutely loves it and is always asking to see her key workers. She's always so happy to go to the staff members there and they all have their own little friendship with her. Whenever I've had questions or concerns about my daughter they've been heard and answered quickly. Very happy with the staff and the care my daughter receives.

Attended for the Mothers Day workshop set up by the Nursery yesterday and had a fantastic time with my child and it was wonderful to get an insight into their day. My child has a wonderful time each day they go to nursery and has such an amazing relationship with the staff. The only issues I have at the moment, hence scoring 4 stars, is that since the beginning of the year there seems to be less updates in regards to my child's learning on the parent app, there haven't been any recent timetables available to prepare my child on a weekly basis as to the specific themes for the week or messages in advance via the app for events my child will be getting involved in over the coming month. These issues do not impact on the amazing experiences my child has at this nursery, and I would still always recommend the nursery to anyone.

We have just had the most magical morning for mother's day with my son at children's 1st, they always go above and beyond and i have never felt so comfortable having someone else care for my child, i find this quite difficult being away from the children, but the level of care, and support they give us outstanding and i am so thankful to them i really appreciate all they've done and continue to do.

Everyone is friendly and supportive and greet each child and parent with smiles and kind enc.

I was quite worried about my boy starting nursery in April 2024 but from the moment of me walking through the nursery doors I instantly felt at ease. All the staff at children's 1st clowne are absolutely amazing and treat my boy with such love and care. We have never had any problems and I can go to work happy knowing my baby is looked after and cared for the same way as he would be with us! I would 100% recommend children's 1st nursery to all my family and friends, everyone here is absolutely amazing. The outdoor and indoor facilities are brilliant for children of all ages, my boy absolutely loves it here and always has so much fun.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough all staff are super friendly and go above and beyond for the children. As a first time mum they made my transition with my baby going into nursery easy and stress free with the support and care they give. Thank you for all the staff at clowne nursery for everything you do.

Both my Children now attend Children 1st Clowne. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming whether it's a nursery nurse, receptionist or cleaner. Everyone always says hello and never fail to remember the childrens names. Both my children are always happy and smiling at the end of the day which to me is a good sign that they have been well looked after and have enjoyed their day.

I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

My little girl started nursery last September, all staff were welcoming and friendly after it took her a little longer to settle. She now loves attending nursery and I feel very reassured leaving her.

They have got some amazing members of staff and it's quite obvious they really do love their job!

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Children 1st @ Clowne for looking after my daughter for the past 2 years, she has been taught well and has grown to be a kind and smart young girl with the help of the staff. All staff are kind and approachable and look after all the kids so well. One teacher, in particular, has been my daughter's favourite since she went into the early year's room last October and throughout the year she has been amazing with both mum and dad. I would recommend this nursery to anyone who asks and look forward to sending my youngest in the near future.

I attended sports day with my daughter and have to say it was so much fun! From the moment I arrived, it was very well organised with everything explained in full. The kids who took part had a wonderful morning and so did the adults! Thanks again for putting on this event for the kids.

The cherry on the cake top is that my son loves attending and will get very excited to visit and see staff, so much so that sometimes he doesn't want to leave!

Our son moved here in September 2023 and the transition process has been reasonably well. He has forged good relationships with most staff. One element of constructive criticism would be that compared to the younger rooms getting a sense of how he is developing is more difficult. During school holidays it appears that the staffing pool isn't quite the same and it can get very busy which can be overwhelming for a more nervous child. Overall, we are pleased with our son's progression.
