Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool has provided childcare in Southam for over 21 years and has recently been awarded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (November 2022).

Bright Horizons received the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) Gold Award in April 2016.

The team are highly qualified and the whole team is paediatric first aid trained. The nursery also has strong links with local schools.

Children aged from three months through to pre-school will find this nursery a stimulating and reassuring environment. Children are well prepared to transition to school with the unique 'Ready for School' Programme, and extracurricular activities include football coaching and music sessions.

The nursery garden has a large lawn area and vegetable garden, and is accessible from all rooms.

A nutritionally-balanced menu, using fresh ingredients, is prepared on site, catering for all dietary requirements. Drop off and picks ups are as safe as possible with the convenient nursery car park.

Such a brilliant nursery and preschool - the engagement with parents both in person and via the app is great, all the staff and management are lovely and very educational and our little one absolutely loves going!

Cannot fault the nursery. The staff are absolutely wonderful, with regular updates and a noticeable bond formed with the children. Activities and food are well suited to the age groups. Every pickup is usually detailed and informative, relaying the daily activities of the child. Facilities seem well
suited and the grounds are recently renovated making for an enjoyable outdoor space.

My son has thrived since joining this nursery in September last year. His speech/vocabulary and social skills have improved and he is very happy to go every morning. He has bonded with the lovely staff and runs to them for hugs which reassures me he is very well looked after.

Fantastic nursery with hard-working, dedicated carers. I've always felt very comfortable dropping my children off each morning, and they always come out with big smiles and glowing reports of what they have done, learnt, and eaten!
There are plenty of opportunities for the children to lead their own
play and develop their interests.
The nursery has done a great job of creating a new outside space - my daughter loves it!

I cannot recommend Southam Bright Horizons Day Nursery enough! All staff members are lovely including office staff, kitchen staff and all key workers in all the rooms that the children are in.
At every drop off they ask if my child is okay and if there are any concerns, if there were any concerns
then they work with you to make a plan to overcome the said issue. At every pick up they inform how the child has been in the day and what they've been up to and what moods they've been in.
Within the past month, my little one felt poorly. The staff took her temperature and noticed it was high so they contacted me to ask if they could give her Calpol and see if she perks up. After giving her Calpol there wasn't much improvement so I picked her up and spent a few days at home. My point is that the staff always look out for the kids, they get to know them all individually so they know when something isn't right.
I can honestly say, taking my little one to this nursery was the best choice!

My youngest child has struggled with separation anxiety since returning to nursery after Christmas, but all the staff have been really helpful and good at comforting him (and me) to help him settle. They always get out activities that he asks for to ensure his time at the nursery is an enjoyable one,
and every time I pick him up, he has a big smile on his face and tells me what a good day he's had playing. Also, my daughter was very shy and nervous when she started nursery, and they did a fantastic job of helping my daughter to gain confidence and preparing her for school, which made the transition from nursery to school a smooth one.

My child has been going to the nursery since she was seven months old. Her care and development support has been second to none.
From starting in the baby room and progressing to the toddlers, the standards have never dropped.
She is always happy at the end of each nursery day and always has a lot
to tell me about the activities they have done.
The introduction of the nursery app has been revolutionary from a Covid Mummy who couldn't go into the nursery initially for a walk round etc.
The staff have always been kind and supportive, with an informative handover at every pickup.
I can't recommend this nursery enough.

Southam Bright Horizons has been such a wonderful environment for both of my children to grow up in. The staff are kind, loving and professional and always strive to provide a fun and educational environment for the children. They conduct numerous educational activities and always give updates on what

When you walk through the door, you can feel the warm, friendly atmosphere. The children are always happy and engaged in the activities that are provided for them when I collect my goddaughter. The staff always greet you with a smile and gives in-depth feedback about her day. The garden has recently
been refurbished and has really enhanced what was already a large spacious area. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

We have always been extremely happy with the care and communication we have received from all the staff at Southam. All the staff are friendly and caring and we've always felt very comfortable leaving both our children with staff, even on those days where your child is crying their eyes out! I know
they are loved and supported. The management are amazing and they are super helpful and kind. I think the standard of food provided is exceptional. I never hesitate to recommend to anyone.

All 3 of our children have been to Southam Nursery over the last 12 years. Many of the staff are still the same which creates a real sense of family. The newly refurbished building looks amazing and has some fantastic new spaces and facilities as well as the new app to see all the info about our daughter
say. The staff and nursery have given our children the best possible start. We recommend it to everyone we know.

My second child is currently at the nursery but my first child also attended so have known the team for six years. Such a lovely team of staff which both of my children have formed close bonds with. We are updated and reminded at every available opportunity and both of my children have absolutely thrived
there. The only downside will be when my child starts school in September and I won’t get to see them anymore.

The baby room team are fantastic. The girls from the other rooms are friendly and say hello outside. The care my child receives is good and feedback is lovely to hear. He clearly loves the ladies who care for him because he gets excited to see them and is happy for me to leave.

My little boy has been attending Bright Horizons Southam since he was 16 months old, he is now nearly 4, and I can’t fault their care and dedication to the children. As a full-time teacher, it has made it so much easier for me to be back at work knowing he is getting such amazing care and attention.
My little boy has delayed speech and all of his key workers have taken the time to speak to me, reassure me of his progress and plan his next steps. I think they all do a wonderful job, especially under the circumstances they have been under recently.

Southam Beehive makes us smile. Every time we go through the gate there is a friendly ‘hello’ from someone. My son loves going to the nursery and we love sending him as we know he will receive the best care.
We now live further away but would not send our son to any other nursery as the staff are absolutely
fantastic. My son has made great progress in all area and this is definitely in part down to the nurturing environment and fabulous activities that the staff put on for the children.
Our son has multiple allergies and we have no concerns that he would receive anything that he couldn’t have which really puts our mind at ease.
The recent refurb of the rooms has made the learning environments even better and we can’t wait to hear what exciting adventure our son will be involved in next at the outstanding nursery.

Laura

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2003

With over 20 years’ experience in childcare, Southam Bright Horizons has been Laura’s home since 2003. She began her journey as a nursery assistant, gaining her qualifications while working at the nursery and attending college. Over the years, she progressed through roles including Room Leader and Third in Charge, becoming Deputy Manager in 2009 and Nursery Manager in 2025.


Laura leads a dedicated and experienced staff team, with over 150 years of combined expertise, all committed to giving children the very best start in their early years. Passionate about creating an inspiring environment, Laura ensures the nursery is a place where every child can learn, develop, and feel safe.

Carly

Carly

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Carly has been part of the Bright Horizons Southam family since 2012, starting out as a nursery assistant and building over 13 years of experience in childcare. After completing her early years qualification, she became a Room Leader in 2021 and, more recently, Deputy Manager in 2025.


In 2024, Carly completed Nurture Approach training, which is now central to the nursery’s ethos. She is passionate about supporting every child’s wellbeing and individuality, while helping them develop mindfulness skills that will stay with them as they grow.
